I'd really prefer a romance betw the women here, not only because kdramas need GL, but the combo sounds more exciting: The actress Kim Hyo Jin has a more intimidating aura to contrast Park Eun Bin's calm & cute vibes.
Compare to male lead has same calm cute vibes as FL. In my experience two calm people tend to not create much chemistry 😅
Two fiery people can have chem, and one calm + fiery can have chem, but two calm people...nope. Calm + calm is only boring lol.
After wathing 300+ dramas & romance shows from other countries (turkey, spain, uk, US..) , what can I say I'm a hyperromantic romance-junkie lol, I can say this with confidence.
Netflix really putting whatever random dramas there lately while ignoring Kim Dong Wook's 2 dramas (which are both the best current dramas & should be there)😡

'Actress Kim Hyo Jin portrays Yoon Ran Joo, the diva whom Seo Mok Ha loves. Yoon Ran Joo was once a successful singer but now finds herself in a less fortunate situation. She meets Seo Mok Ha, a genuine fan from a deserted island, aiming for a genre transformation in her life. Audiences are excited about the wide range of acting skills that Kim Hyo Jin will showcase and the romance that will unfold between her and Park Eun Bin." https://kisskh.at/article/park-eun-bin-s-upcoming-k-drama-diva-of-the-deserted-island-confirmed-to-air-on-tvn
It says here the romance is between THE GIRLS. I hope it's true.

Kim Dong Wook's My Perfect Stranger doing a much better job in the timetravel mystery genre. Train felt like too much typical mystery thriller, nothing special.
I wanted to like this because Yoon Shi Yoon + dark comedy, but unfortunately it was too focused on typical office workplace drama, which is a genre that bores me to tears.
It has. Um. I've seen it a couple times, but I can't remember where. Maybe Chun Woo Hee's previous drama Be Melodramatic?…
They did do something similar to 4th wall breaks at the beginning of Be Melodramatic though, Chun Woo Hee's quirky character was talking to bags (yes bags lol) and it might've been filmed like talking to the audience, not sure .

Hmmm I don't recall 4th wall breaks in Be Melodramatic, the humor is also similar both in writing but also because through Be Melodramatic I realized Wohee is quite simialr to her Be Melo character, She even talked about this in an interview "(when talking about be melo)expressing more my real character in slice of life type shows" (she has a witty quirky snarky personality, only less shameless and more humble and considerate irl than in Be Melo along her snark). So it's the actress bringing along her funny snark and acting style in both shows. 😆 (compare to for example her movie with Kim Nam Gil.Her character so serious and toned tone low energy there. Snark made no sense for the character, although that character was quirky as well. Playing a conwoman, that same fun wit makes sense again, she can being along her snark again to make the character more intriguing)
Wahh why the melodrama??? I am interested cause its rated high but I don't like melodrama
Don't be fooled by the title, this isn't really a melodrama, sure it has melo elements (one main char coping with a death), but it's actually a SLICE OF LIFE Drama.
Ko Chia Yen is a tremendously brilliant actress. She plays 2 completely different characters here in completely…
Jeon Yeo Been is also a brilliant actress. All her characters in her different projects are all worlds apart. She will differentiate between 2 chars like a pro. Especially watch her in Be Melodramatic (& compare w for example her Glitch character after) & you'd have no doubts. In fact I'd say, she is THE actress with the most acting talent of these new next gen k actors. She recently went to Cannes, while many of her contemporaries can only dream; where international directors highly praised her brilliant acting after watching her movie there, she won more praise than even some of her senior actors. So her acting will not be an obstacle lol,
however WRITING remains to be seen. On that part, I agree & am quite worried. Let's hope for the best.
Casting JYB however shows their awareness of having big shoes to fill, they knew they absolutely needed not just a great actress but the best actress or no go. One can only hope they show the same awareness when writing the script.
K guys cuz y'all appreciating it so much i'll try even tho i hate mysteries
It's not really the typical mystery, but more multi-genre and has other aspects to enjoy beside the mystery. Plus an exciting timebomb of male lead having limited time to solve the mystery or he dies. Suprisingly there's even an unexpected psychological/healing genre part (Female lead & her mom aspect of the story). Have fun ✨
This was way better than expected, somehow expected it to be just typical mystery thriller despite its timetravel theme, but it's more of a mixed genre drama with multiple things to enjoy while watching not just its mystery, but it has family past, a ML with limited time to prevent his own death, multi-couples romances, friendships, bullying, trauma, youth, 80s aesthetics, cooperation...
Off topic but I just realized that Find Me In Your Memory, You Are My Spring, My Perfect Stranger and Delightfully Deceitful most of his drama posters are in green color lol
But anyway green suit his dramas, the color of growth and healing
I'd say it's a melodrama. The conflicts of the main characters are heavy and the comedy part is mostly banter…
Oh ok thank you so much for your explaination! I think then I can look forward to this one! 🥰 Banter is fun, I welcome it, good to skip the cheesy romcom tropes & go for the more serious melorom with heavy subjects and not meaningless fluff.

Omoooo 🥰
OMG. Looking foward to this girl-girl romance.
Was going to watch this just for Eunbin, but now all the more reason to watch.
Too bad, I like both leads.
