What a strange, sad situation these babies are in. All the goodbyes said, now just the painful wait for the inevitable. In a way, Yai is preparing himself for Jom's death. And Jom doesn't know if he will live or die. Even if they meet in the present, it will be good for Jom, but Yai will have to spend his whole life pining for him 🥺
I hope the last episode gives us a reunion with everyone in the present. And I want sweet James to find his love in this timeline, if not the past.
It's interesting that both the guys here are introverts. Most romances do the extrovert-introvert pairing for the 'opposites attract' scenario. Or extrovert-extrovert to show their youthful exuberance. I think this is the first BL where both guys are not just introverts but extreme introverts.
It also makes sense that Tew looks for refuge in something as childish as a video game despite being a part of the mafia and running a hostess bar. As an introvert I totally get what hell it would be for him to deal with people the whole day. So he kept quiet with Guy instead of making an effort, and was prepared for him to walk away bored of his company. But then Guy got drunk and you could see Tew being charmed despite himself 🥰
PS. The milk thing was crass and left a bad taste. They could have shown the harassment in some other way.
i mean yeah, but also good for you recognizing the main story focus of the drama especially in a weekender, lol.…
My comment was about my observations on the characters till now, not my expectations about how they should behave. I'm well aware that I'm watching a 50 episode drama.
All the positive characters in this show are clueless. HyoShim is clueless about what to do with her life and her family. Ditto for her oldest brother. The wannabe lawyer brother and the wannabe actress next door have no idea what they are doing. HyoDi and TaeHee are lost in their own world. The most clueless of all is TaeHo - both at work and his quest for the truth.
The evil aunt and TaeMin are doing the thinking for everyone. TaeMin's ways may be different from his mother but he feels he knows best and can make decisions for everyone. He is a lot like the oldest brother's wife in that way.
So, after what happened at the end of Ep 9, I don't see TaeHo continuing to live in the family house. He isn't a strategist, and seems like he will lose a lot before he eventually gets to turn things around.
There are so many BLs with NC scenes, but so few follow them up with post coital cuddles and soul-baring conversations. The way Yai and Jom opened themselves up to each other on that bed. The way they said everything in their hearts while touching each other tenderly on the face, chest, shoulders, arms....
Knowing that they have very little time together after this......poor Yai. So young and so happy in this moment.
Glad the bad guys got what they deserved and our brave girls are finally free of that monster. The women (including Niew) stepped up this episode and told the men they will run this world now, and do a better job than them!
No preview. I think Jom will be back to the future next episode. If they are to meet again in the present time, I hope we get loads of interactions between them in the last two episodes.
The show didn't end the way I expected it to, but the unexpected ending was pretty satisfying. The Mart brought them together, and taught them teamwork and business skills. Gave them closure on the old tragedy, and made them realize that they aren't losers. They move on from it as more confident people - individually and together.
This show didn't do anything pathbreaking, but its simple and light narrative made for a relaxing watch. I will miss these kids. If the makers are planning a second season of them running a wedding hall, I will definitely watch it.
Super cute and fluffy! The school setting adds to the youthful vibe. Park GyuYoung is so naturally goofy and likeable that you totally believe that the cute dog is her in another form. Now if only Cha EunWoo wasn't so wooden! Hope the show maintains this sweet vibe till the end 🤞🏻
I wasn't a fan of the original show. I loved the romance but nothing else. The potty humor was crass, too many women were assaulted, and I didn't find any of the strong women likeable, including BongSoon. Her mother, especially, was terrible and needed to be booked for domestic abuse.
Comparatively, the women in this show are much better. The FL is very likeable off the bat. The actress playing her grandmother is one of my favorite grannies and can do no wrong in my eyes. Am on the fence about the mother but I hope she will grow on me. The supporting characters are nice too.
Mongolia was beautifully shot. I paused so many times just to gawk at the scenery. Can already feel what a cultural shock it will be for NamSoon to go from that place to a concrete jungle.
The first episode went by in a breeze. Fingers crossed for this one to turn out better than its predecessor.
PS. Why oh why is our antagonist so much hotter than the ML?!
That was some match! And I loved the outcome. I loved the whole finale actually. Very happy that the show was bold enough to let the romance happen. I have no problem with age gaps when two people are mature adults and genuinely love each other.
The people in this show are oddly likeable, even when they are being irresponsible or outright jerks. Except for the murderous aunt and screechy daughter-in-law, everyone has scope for improvement. The youngest brother may be highly irresponsible with money but he had the decency to not do a hit and run, and also bought meals for a homeless girl without trying to take advantage of her. The middle brother is too obnoxious to bear, but it seems the new girl next door will be the one to show him the mirror.
HyoShim and TaeHo have chemistry and I enjoy their bickering. It seems TaeHo does too. He was good friends with his trainer in the US, and once HyoShim earns his respect he may want to be friends with her too. He does need someone to open up to now that he has no family and no (seen till now) friends. It will be interesting to see how his relationship with HyoShim develops now that he knows that she is close with TaeMin.
This show is fast becoming my favorite on-air drama. The way they learn from their failures - individual and collective - and use it to better themselves is a delight to watch. A 10-episode run time means there are no fillers and no unnecessary characters 👌🏻
These two blockheads! I will get an anxiety attack even before they are discovered. I couldn't even enjoy their dancing and their rain kiss coz I was convinced someone was watching 😖 Hope they manage to make a lot of happy memories together before the sword falls.
After a long time a show has me so invested in its relationships. I feel sorry for almost everyone. It's a difficult life for all of them, even the privileged ones (not Robert - he can go burn in hell). They are all trying to snatch a little happiness from their pitiful daily lives - some through romance, some through liquor, and some through gossip. I wish all of them can get their happy ending though it's unlikely.
Watched only Ep 1 till now. I guess I have got so used to gorgeous MLs in Korean BLs that two average looking leads in this one are a bit off-putting. Yes, I'm shallow 😑
Doesn't help that the actor playing the chef looks a bit creepy when he is supposed to look romantic. Hope he gets better.
No, Korean BLs are usually not spicy enough to have uncut versions. Also, they don't release on Korean TV or YouTube. They only get web releases on online platforms, so there's no reason for cut versions.

And give this show 5 episodes before dropping. The first 4 episodes are mid but the show totally takes off from the 5th episode.
