MinWoo and MaRoo have my heart ❤️ SangMin and JooHyuk are adorable too but it's time they stop circling around each other and talk about their feelings. Super glad to finally be rid of Kim An's creepy hyung, now let the boys enjoy their relationship without any more angst!
Solid Jun and Squishy Jun being in the same space for majority of the episode - BL heaven for me! I don't care about story or pacing if I get heart fluttering romance 🥰
This show is a perfect example of low budget not meaning low quality. The Thai Why RU had the budget but it's writing was so bad that I only watched the Fighter-Tutor scenes (Zee and Saint had mad chemistry) and skipped everything else. However, in the Korean version I'm invested in all the characters. It's a pity so few people are watching this one. I am enjoying it more than recent KBLs like Love Tractor, The Director Who Buys Me Dinner, etc.
This was more of a character introduction episode. I don't mind the slow pace with this one, coz they are in an era where time passed slowly and feelings had time to breath. We didn't get a lot of Yai-Jom interactions but whatever we got was heart fluttering. Yai is so obviously smitten, and Jom is already comparing him with his ex. Didn't expect the people he knew in the present time to be there in the past too, but it is indeed an interesting twist. Can't wait to see Yai and Jom growing closer 🩷
This one is growing on me. The main couple is not boring anymore though I still like the 2nd and 3rd couples more. Loved the cameo by the Love Class 1 couple!
This was cute! Clearly very low budget but fun. The actors are all slightly goofy and that's keeping everything sweet and light. They are going for a very different vibe from the Thai original which makes this look like a completely different show, so there's no need for comparisons.
Since I have nothing new to say about the plot or pacing AGAIN this week. Here is a character analysis of Lee…
I completely agree. Lee Jun knows what's going on but has perfected the art of playing dumb in uncomfortable situations. He did it with Choi Jun too in the beginning, but when he got in deep his mask started falling around him.
I think i liked it, the only downfall is shortage of episode, they could easily explore this story in 16 episodes…
Choi Jun explained it quite well - their parents will keep setting up blind dates for them if they don't settle for one person. So they got engaged to get their parents off their backs with the understanding that they will break off the engagement when one of them gets into a relationship. Being an Asian (Indian) myself, I can totally understand how tiring it is to deal with parents who want you 'setttled' as soon as possible.
I love snarky Choi Jun! In fact all the leads walk the tightrope between funny and intense so well.
Whenever CJ and LJ are together, the air crackles with their chemistry. That last scene was loaded with suppressed emotions. And then LJ lost the battle with his feelings! Whew!! Can't wait to see the aftermath next week.
PS. What was that TutorYim cameo? What was the point?
When Gil Chae In Boat of Ep.6 SomeOne Come Front & Hold Jong Jong Leg and ask Them To Take My Child With You 😭,…
That's war for you. Gil Chae knew the soldiers won't allow more people. And the woman was holding them up when every second was precious. Gil Chae did what she could to keep Jong Jong on the boat.
I was scared to start this one coz of my huge expectations since the first trailer. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint!
I usually don't like slow dramas but the unhurried pace seems just right for this one. We are going to be in an era where time moved slowly and human interactions were the primary form of entertainment. Jom is lovely but the first glimpse of Yai with the flower basket was everything - you just know that this young master is a gentle and romantic man. I can't wait to watch these two realise that they are soulmates 🩷
I like the secondary couples - one is a very realistic portrayal of a gay man in love with his best friend, and the other is a funny but not frivolous take on lust at first sight between two mid to late 20s guys.
It's the main couple that's not working for me. It's the classic trope of trauma-healing done through love and patience but something about the way it's been portrayed isn't giving me the feels. I do think the actors are lacking here, especially the one playing Kim An.
I know I'm going to keep watching but in a bored/detached way. 3 couples are a bit too much when there are so many nuances to read and understand.
Perth is here looking gorgeous and evil. Who cares about anything else? 😍
I enjoyed the first episode despite the bullying. It's the way Kanghan gives glimpses of vulnerability in between all those atrocities he commits, and the way Sailom is not a pushover despite being dirt poor. There's chemistry there and it kills me that they are in those ugly uniform shorts half the time. How much better the chemistry would have been if they weren't walking around looking idiotic in those shorts.
So all excited for these two hot-headed dudes to slowly fall for each other. The boys won't disappoint, but the show better not let them down.
Did the dodo really ask LJ to be his boyfriend without clearing up the fiance thing first? And then had the audacity to look shocked when he was rejected?! Much as I'm loving this show, this kind of forced misunderstanding has no place in 2023.
Other than the finance fiasco I really enjoyed this episode. Cameo by the cuties from Mr. Heart! ❤️ Simeon isn't my type of handsome but I could see his appeal today. I think this show works coz all the characters have chemistry with each other. I can feel the chemistry between LJ and all his admirers. There's chemistry between Simeon and HyunJae too even though there's been nothing remotely romantic between them till now. Even Young fits in nicely with the guys.
The two things I want a romance to give me are chemistry and yearning. This show is giving me both. The flashback between HyunJae and Simeon was full of complicated feelings. They both like the same guy but the prospect of not being in each other's life anymore hurts them both. This is why I can't criticise the show's writing - it gives me more feels than I expect it to.
