Not sure how I feel as yet. The bonding between EunGyeol and his musical mentor was so sweet and it was heartbreaking when he died. I was invested till EunGyeol was a child but felt disconnected with his older version. He didn't seem like the same person (maybe coz the child actor is the better actor of the two).
Hope the time travel is well done and pulls me back into the show.
PS. Till now this show is very similar to Indian film 'Khamoshi The Musical' where the super-responsible daughter of deaf parents is totally into music while her parents are against it.
Seems like all of them were stunted the last 5 years, and coming together again has made them all bloom. They really are at their best when working together towards a common goal. Show is doing a super job of mingling their individual journies with their team dynamics.
PS. That job interview truly highlighted the vapidness of corporate HR.
I have grown fond and protective of these kids real fast! All of them are hurting in their own ways. They are barely surviving but the optimism of youth is still keeping their enthusiasm up and running. That's what age takes away from you as you.
Not James giving me second lead syndrome π€¦π»ββοΈ He truly deserves the Mr. International 2023 win!
And Khun Yai! The perfect gentleman Yai pulling the chair for Jom at the club, the angry-jealous Yai, the petty-jealous Yai, the desperate-jealous Yai, and then the the die-hard romantic Yai laying his heart bare in front of Jom π₯° Their kiss had me kicking my legs in the air π
Figures that in a household filled with people, it would be impossible to keep their relationship hidden. Especially when Yai is too drunk on love to be discreet about it. That rain kiss in the preview looks oh so heart-fluttering πππ
The acting is amateur, and the writing isn't very sophisticated either. But there's something about an underdog story that's hard to resist. How can you not root for these earnest young people?
This one was cute from beginning to end. They managed to make a true romcom with equal measure rom and com. Loved both the couples. It could have been better with a bigger budget, but what we got was pretty wholesome despite the visible lack of funds the makers were working with. Hope more people give it a chance, the show deserves it.
This is so much better written than Cutie Pie (till now). I kept chuckling all through! All the interactions are so funny and all the guys are gorgeous. Plus Yi looks at Kon Diao like he wants to protect him from the world by wrapping him in cotton wool π₯° I hope they keep up this vibe till the end.
What a lovely ending! It's always so good to see couples being domestic and carefree after resolving all their troubles. And then I couldn't believe Korea gave us that make out scene!! Whew!!
That was a very satisfying finale! We got to see our Juns be all lovey dovey and domestic!! Young finally did something right π And why was Choi Jun taking off his jacket in the last scene hotter than all the kisses? π₯΅
HyunJae and Simeon too moved on gracefully, and it was good to see them picking up the old threads again. It was nice that they were not shown to be dating just to have another romance tied up with a bow. Just two guys with a deep connection finding each other again after losing touch for a few years.
I know that the show had its issues (I mostly blame the low budget), but the four main actors are so compelling, and their scenes together so well written and acted that I find it easy to overlook all other flaws. This was the show among all my on-air shows that I looked forward to the most every week, coz it gave me what most romances this year couldn't - heart flutters! Hope to see these actors again soon in new shows, especially Ki HyunWoo who is magic on the screen π
I'm loving this show and not just because I adore Lee Sang-Yeob. It is doing so many things without coming across even a little bit preachy. The only thing I dislike is Kwon-Sook's father being portrayed in a sympathetic light after everything he has done and continues to do.
The relationship between Tae-Young and Kwon-Sook is still the highlight for me. All that chemistry! She looks at him as a shady but likeable uncle while he has started seeing her as a woman. She has a huge crush on another guy but we know it's only because of his good looks and the fact that he is the first guy to be nice to her. She likes the fact that she can be just a girl with him - something that Tae-Young can't possibly make her feel as her agent.
The American angle is interesting. If Tae-Young is planning what is implied, there's a lot that can go wrong.
Lian and Kuea are husbands for 3 years! πππ
And Yi calling Kuea "Kuea Keerati Wang" π₯°π₯°π₯°
In Cutie Pie 2, Yi and Diao had an active sex life but very little emotional intimacy. It makes sense that the emotional distance has led to a sexual distance too, and maybe vice versa. However, a scene like their dinner table conversation gives another picture. I guess it will be explained later why Yi has been avoiding getting married.
I'm glad the backstory as well as the accident and amnesia happened in the first episode. Let the romance begin now!
Just when I started wondering why so much time was being spent on the cheaters from the future and that π€¬ rapist, the lakeside scene came and I realized that Jom needed those confrontations with Sean to get his closure. Once he managed to throw away the bracelet, he was able to see Yai as the charming man he is.
Smitten Yai is a sight to behold π Can't wait to see Jom falling under his spell too!
Hope the time travel is well done and pulls me back into the show.
