What SeonWoo said to SungHo in the morning explained it perfectly - MinSung is a fox who seduced both the guys.
HyungJoon finally understood that if a guy keeps saying he isn't sure he likes you, then it means he doesn't like you. If it isn't a 'hell yes' it's a no. He went to that Cafe and showed the mirror to MinSung. And MinSung was ashamed of what he saw in the mirror. When MinSung said that he feels he has been selfish, HyungJoon just looked at him. Perfect!
The first day HyungJoon walked into the house, MinSung's face said, "Here's my guy!". He and HyungJoon have been intensely attracted to each other from the beginning. And HyungJoon was always honest about it. But MinSung saw a little interest from HyungJin and decided to flirt with him too.
I can say with confidence that he was NEVER attracted to HyungJin. There's never been any chemistry between them. But MinSung kept giving mixed signals to both men to be the next SungHo in the house who had two men vying for his affections. All that talk about having issues with HyungJoon's lifestyle was just an excuse to justify stringing both men along. He was just enjoying being the princess who had two knights fighting for her. Until it blew up in his face. And his selfishness ended up hurting both guys.
I hope both Joon and Jin give up on him now. They deserve better.
Choi Jun doesn't believe in wasting time, does he? Poor Lee Jun hasn't even finished the first day in office and he is already at the receiving end of CJ's intense flirting. Thank God for their childhood friendship and the fact that they speak as friends when alone. Else CJ's actions would be straight up sexual harassment. But thankfully I can enjoy CJ trying all his seduction techniques on his old friend π
LJ's Hyung has already noticed CJ's interest in him and he isn't happy. It's a bit unbelievable that LJ isn't aware of his Hyung's interest in him when the coffee girl understood it in a few minutes. But then who am I to question BL logic π
So I watched Episodes 9 to 12 today and my my! "Su Yu is mine!!" The FEELS, the angst, that teenage confusion/hesitancy all portrayed so well. I'm not a fan of the original Addicted as I found Wu Bi's character more in lust with Su Yu than love. But these babies are so deep in love. You can feel them burning up for each other. You just know that they will fight every day but also protect each other with their lives.
I keep reading that there is more angst coming π’ My poor babies!
Why is Thailand doing this? Why is almost every Thai BL a shitshow this year?
I can't not watch JamFilm, so I'm watching only their scenes together and fast forwarding the rest. But even the JamFilm scenes are so wasteful of their chemistry and acting potential π₯Ί
I wouldn't let SW off the hook just yet. My complaint with him has never been that he shops around. It's that he keeps people hanging on to him even when he has no interest in them, so that they can't move on to others.
- By taking YH out on a date he gave him hope again and that too the day after YH didn't call him for the first time (called JS to thank him). YH was back to calling SW than moving on to someone.
- He fed HJin repeatedly at the barbecue thus confusing HJin when he was obviously after MS.
- I may be wrong but my gut feeling says that the only guy he truly liked was JS. SH was never his type and he took SH on a date only so that JS can't. After the anonymous chatting yesterday, JS said that he appreciated that SW took care of him even though he may have seemed that he didn't pay attention to SW. So I feel the whole love triangle was SW's way of keeping SH focused on himself so that he doesn't get together with JS.
Lastly, I dislike the way he enjoys people's one-way crushes. It gives him an ego boost even though it hurts the other person to not have clarity. JW also calls YH everyday but YH feels bad for him instead of feeling 'supported' by his one-way interest and never gives JW any false hope. SW, on the other hand, wipes YH's nose with his clothes knowing full well that a 21 year old with a huge crush on him will feel hopeful after this gesture.
So who said this show isn't a good representation of 'real' gay men? Has any man on a reality show looked as ready to jump some bones as JunSung did with those marshmallows? They were on the bed and he wanted to turn off the lights! π Here we were begging for confirmation of their relationship, and they gave us a wedding night π€£
Those calls in the beginning gave peace to my soul! SungHo outdid himself today. First by sitting down with Ice-cream and giving closure to both of them gracefully. Then hugging Singer as a good friend and telling him he's there for him.
That's what differentiates SungHo from MinSung. SungHo was confused between two men too but was honest with both of them at all times. And then when he picked his man, he let the other guy go respectfully.
MinSung, on the other hand, has been insincere from the beginning, juggling both guys at his whims. I got seriously put off last week when he turned down HyunJin's invitation without looking the least bit apologetic. Now he claims to be feeling uncomfortable after creating a situation where both guys have no idea where they stand with him. I cheered when HyunJoon neither called him nor joined his chat group. He deserves better.
ChangWook and YeonHee are exactly where they were last week, and the week before that, and the week before that π
SeonWoo bowed out of the triangle as he knew he had no chance now. I still think he was more interested in JunSung than SungHo. I feel he is going to get together with YeonHee in the end just to be a part of the winning couples. It's unlikely to last outside the show though. If MinSung makes a winning pair work HyunJoon or HyunJin that too won't last outside the show.
That was a pretty satisfying finale. Women are so much better off supporting each other but we tend to do the opposite. I loved JungAh and NaYoung's character growth. JungAh was my least favorite in the beginning but by the end I had a tiny girl crush on her. MiHo frustrated me a lot and I wish her character was a little less 'dry'. Was hoping to see some softening from her side towards JinSeop but I guess the little girls calling him Real Uncle is the indication towards that.
This show would have been perfect at 14 episodes. The 16-episode run time made it drag a bit in the middle parts. However, it's a good watch and one of the better Kdramas this year. 8/10 Stars.
This was perfect (well, apart from the fact that Choi Jun looks too young to be a Director). I got butterflies and the romance hasn't even started yet! Both Juns are decent, likeable guys. Childhood connections in Kdramas usually irritate me but they are rare in BLs. So I quite liked how the childhood connection added a layer of sweetness to this new, tentative relationship between them.
I would have got second lead syndrome for Lee Jun's Hyung if I didn't know that he would get a romance of his own. And I'm thankful for the 25-minute episode too! However, 1 episode per week would be torture π

He was talking about his shirt of course. Of course.
