This was the most frustrating finale ever! What even was Joo-Ran's plan? Why put the pregnant woman in danger in the first place? How did she think she will take on a murderer alone? Who killed her sister? Why did SangEun kill her husband like that, especially when he was about to get a lot of money? Was Soo-Min really pregnant and if she was, was it really JaeHo's baby? Was JaeHo really running a prostitution racket? Why so many unanswered questions after that super slow build-up?
One more Kdrama faltering at the finishing line. It's even worse when that happens with a murder mystery. I regret wasting my time on this.
Also can someone explain to me why SH was mad about the roommate situation? He picked JS so why was he mad about…
SH wanted to be roommates with JS coz there is a tentative bond there which he doesn't want to disturb. He did accept in the letter that it's selfish of him. Also SW had said earlier that he may not choose the person he wants to date as his roommate.
SH is mad coz SW looked so delighted to be roommates with MS. Even SW realised later that his reaction was inappropriate.
JS wanted a single room initially when he saw that he and SH can't have the double room. There is one single room on the first floor and one on the second floor. The quadruple room is only the second floor. When SH said he is taking the second floor single room, JS decided to take the quadruple so that they could be on the same floor. When SH asked later why he didn't pick the single room, JS told him the reason.
Disappointed. First is cute but not superstar material. Goofy isn't suiting Ja. And must all Thai BLs have crass middle-aged women shouting their lungs out?
The only one who actually left an impact was the doctor guy Bosston had a one night stand with. He looked gorgeous and made the NC scene believable.
There's something stilted about this show. Don't think this one is for me. Dropping this for now.
It's still too slow. Not atmospheric slow, just slow. But things are getting clear. We got to know who the two murderers are. So I guess it's going to be a psychological cat and mouse game between Sang Eun and the family now. Plus there's also the mystery of Joo Ran's sister's murder, and if that's somehow related to what's happening now.
I loved the last two episodes! The initial episodes took too much time to set up the story but now it makes sense coz they were clearly aiming for a second season. I hope they make that second season coz now I definitely want to watch more of these kids.
I have a Viki subscription but now I'm watching it on another site where I can watch at 1.5x speed. It looks like the normal speed even then π
I think the thing that irritates me the most about this show is that Joo-Ran has such a dead personality. Even if she is constantly drugged, her interactions with everyone around her are too hesitant, her reflexes too slow. I get that it could be a deliberate ploy to surprise us with something later on, but even then the show keeps losing its energy when she is on the screen. Sang Eun is keeping me watching though.
While I'm enjoying the show, something keeps nagging at me. It's missing something but I can't pinpoint what. The best I can describe is that the show doesn't feel grounded. Somehow all these people don't seem real, even though I can't say they aren't well written.

Giving gifts - cookies, diet coke, ramyun
Words of affirmation - so many!
Acts of service - offering to cook, getting up early to wake Tattoo up
Husband material π
T - Do you know the token people exchange when they get married?
W - Do you want to get married?
T - Do you have money?
W - I can work hard.
T - Do you have a car?
W - I don't even have a driving license.

Also love how Jin-Seop has become Mi-Ho's trustworthy companion from the irritating colleague he was at the beginning.
We now come to the person who actually knows what happened - Yu-Jin's husband. Only halfway through so lots still left to happen
