SungHo's spotting wearing JunSung's T-shirt yesterday - apparently that T-shirt is a limited edition costing $250. Released in May and not available anymore. There's no way both of them bought that T-shirt π
That was........something! I need another episode to figure out if it's good something or bad something. For now, JinHee's hot sunbae was the best thing about the 1st episode.
Okay, this was disappointing. I didn't expect the show to look and feel so cheap. It seems to have Unforgotten Night level of budget. And the same level of writers too. Only it isn't as campy and fun as UN.
What happened to the To Sir With Love team? That was a over the top Lakorn but still had a core of authenticity. The actors seemed to understand exactly how to immerse themselves in that world to make it all believable. Nothing of that sort can be seen here. The writing lacks any kind of nuance. The characters are so cardboard that the actors can do nothing except mouth the insipid dialogues while making stock faces. JamFilm have chemistry but I wonder if that will be enough to salvage the weak writing. Will check out one more episode and see how it goes.
PS. Did no one in the production team notice how awkward the knots of Film's ties looked?
Thatβs exactly what I was thinking! If he regretted coming the day of his date with SW and felt he might not…
Yes, he as good as said aloud that there was no connection with SeonWoo during their date. It's game over! Even SeonWoo accepted that when they were cooking in the kitchen. But the show makers will edit things in a way that will look like the triangle is alive coz drama sells.
About SeonWoo, I felt a bit sorry for him when he was in his Gelato store. It was like he touched reality after being in the house where he has not only received wholehearted acceptance but where he is treated like a star. He looked pensive and a little embarrassed. I also feel now that he came on the show to get visibility for his Gelato store. Though he lost all my sympathy when he again refused to give YeonHee a direct answer, so that he neither commits himself nor lets YeonHee move on.
I guess His Man house has been the most liberating experience for all of these guys. SungHo also said during the date that he feels pensive at the thought of leaving the house. While JunSung can't wait to leave and start dating SungHo for real π
I'm not really worried about JunSungHo. That ship has sailed! I'm sure the preview is misleading coz they need to keep the us on our toes to keep us interested. SeonWoo will try to create his usual drama but SungHo is a smart guy.
Also, SungHo said during today's date that he regretted coming to the house on the 3rd day - that was the day he had the date with SeonWoo. So he was disappointed after that date though he was still trying to make it work. I had mentioned earlier that SungHo never looked carefree and was perpetually anxious after his date with SeonWoo. Compare that with today when he is sticking to JunSung even after spending the whole day with him. He is smiling and indulging in easy skinship with JunSung. Did anyone notice the way he casually kept his head on JunSung's legs? Even JunSung was surprised! π
BTW, a big reason SeonWoo would never seriously consider SungHo is his tattoos. They are frowned upon in Korean society and there is even a law that prohibits celebrities from publicly showing their tattoos. And SungHo has got them on the most visible part of his body. SeonWoo is too straight-laced to have a boyfriend who flaunts his tattoos. He also seems to have enough internalized homophobia to not go out with a fem guy. The two he called before SungHo are both the most masculine guys in the house.
And then there's JunSung for whom this would be a complete non issue!
So the husband cheated on his wife,YJ discoverd blackmailed him and made him cheat again on his wife with her…
Husband didn't cheat on his wife. YJ found proof of his being a male escort and blackmailed him with it into having an affair with her (though it's not clear if they did more than kiss).
I didn't really like it as much as I expected to. Even though everyone shared their traumas, the whole thing came off as superficial. Maybe I'm also comparing it to His Man 2 which is a much superior gay dating show. And I wasn't a fan of the final pairs. Don't seen them lasting outside the show.
