What unrequited? She dated other men and even had a fiance. If she had unrequited feelings for ML and then had another…
Yes, I read "my text past the first line". It was goobbledygook. I suggest since you and the other User who obviously hate the way FLs and MLs are written in Kdramas, both of you should find another Asian country that better suits your tastes.
Weird. in my opinion, this show's mediocrity isn't recognized or hated enough. I need more people to see what…
Hey, You!!! 💖LOL. I've done the same before, and it actually confirmed why I chose to request a friendship in the first place. I've noticed their (& yours) opinions across MDL without looking specifically at the profile name bc those opinions have been consistent (and yes, a "voice of sanity") on a number of varying comments.
I think there are way too many Users who aren't confidant in their viewpoint or in what they think generally, so they have a need to try and "convert" others which would be validating for their overall wellbeing. SMH, sad, really. I wish more Users had more self-worth.
Just finished ep 5And im suprised none of the 3 drinkers are having any withdrawal symptoms Come on ive seen enough…
So have I seen the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. It isn't something which can be easily overlooked. Maybe the writer wasn't 'ready to' portray the good, the bad AND the ugly in this drama. Yoo bad, it would've had a greater impact.

Leave out the first sentence and it's 🎯
You neglected to ask Search "Does unrequited love mean I'll love that person forever" bc you certainly said over & over & over that ""unrequited love" is staying in love." 🔻🔻🔻🔻per search🔻🔻🔻🔻
Think of it this way:
➡️Just because you have strong feelings for someone NOW DOESN'T MEAN THOSE FEELINGS WILL REMAIN FOREVER.
➡️ While unrequited love can be painful, it doesn't define you or your CAPACITY FOR FUTURE LOVE.
➡️By focusing on your own well-being and opening yourself up to new opportunities, you can EVENTUALLY FIND LOVE THAT IS RECIPROCATED.
I suggest you set aside every comment but your own and read them again slowly. You've explained unrequited love in one or two comments WITH DEFINITIONS, yet you're set on thinking unless it was for a long time it couldn't possibly be unrequited love or there would be no gap (timeline) in the love.
Unrequited love: to love someone when love is not reciprocated.
One can have unrequited love for another for a short period of time or for a long period of time. Moving on to loving someone else doesn't negate one's unrequited love for the person that they had for them AT THE TIME.
The only thing I've gotten out of this is you are either trolling, or you will FOREVER be in love with whoever you choose, whether they reciprocate your feelings or not. If that's the case, then please do not ever have a boyfriend or girlfriend on the side or get married to them bc in your view, that would be cheating on them.

@ u10146071. Let mooc keep commenting. They're contradicting themselves with every other comment. After this length, it appears mooc knows exactly what unrequited love means and just needs the attention. No one can be as obtuse as my middle sis.
I absolutely will NOT bash the writer for her lack when we (general term) have given way too many mediocre (or less) dramas the moniker of 'MASTERIECE'.
The majority of writers have been told creativity & improving their skills aren't needed to be successful in the entertainment industry. We've (general term) conditioned them, and Tastefully Yours & more are exactly what we expect from SK writers.
Depending on the ratings, TY will tell the writer, if not others, that it's unacceptable, that viewers demand better entertainment.
Never have I seen a 10 episode drama go so far off the rails (as of the end of Ep 8), and I can assure you 2 episodes is too little time to wrap up all the loose ends satisfactorily, bc really, when was the last time a drama didn't rush the second half of the final episode, if not the entire ep.
I don't know who comes up with alternative titles for foreign films and dramas, but this movie should've been kept with the Native Title: 최악의 하루 which translates to Worst Day. Yes, it is about Eun Hee, yet it's also about Ryohei. I'll let you think on that last bit for the connection. Kim Jong Kwan's films aren't to be taken superficially. They offer a profound thought provoking experience.

After watching SOTH and reading the comments, I could see why so many thought the movie was boring. The movie requires intentional thought into each character the Main interacts with, and I didn't 'get it' until Ju Eun appeared. I still didn't quite get the Ju Eun character until the focus was on Chang Seok in the last few minutes. Screenwriter and director, Kim Jong Kwan's works can't be watched solely on visuals, or by surface level conversations, as they're profoundly deep.
Suggestion: watch The Throne (2015) first, then Secret Door (2014). SD delves into the nuances surrounding the King, CP Yi Seon (posthumosly CP Sado), the factions, and the throne, although it is the alternative history which many believe to be the real history. It too is an excellent watch.
Rewatching for the 4th time in 2025. 'Secret Door' was released 1 year before 'The Throne' but I watched The Throne before Secret Door. Did all the research during the first watch on the King, CP, the factions during the King's reign and came to my own conclusion which leaned toward the alternative history of Crown Prince Sado.
"It’s an entirely different interpretation and considerably more heart breaking. For this movie, do away with all your past knowledge of history and shatter all the preconceived notions. Because if you let it, it will move you to an extent you didn’t know was possible." I agree.
Edit: I also agree this was Yoo Ah In's best work. His micro expressions were so nuanced as if he embodied the CP.
Secret Door (2014 expounded on the elements of the relationship between the King and his son, and shattered the historically written interpretation by his wife who was of the opposing faction. History is written by the victor, the powerful.
I suggest watching The Throne first, then Secret Door to get a better understanding of what possibly WAS the real dynamic surrounding the King, Crown Prince Yi Seon, and the throne.
Excellent review. I liked it years ago, but recently rewatched SD and had to comment.

You and the other User, who doesn't understand what it means, also apparently don't understand Kdramas.

SAME, and Tastefully Yours will forever be remembered for this.
