I don't find this bad news at all. Anyone who did something illegal should be punished by law; that's about it.
I'm not sure of the law and how things go in different countries, but I somehow agree with both of your points (other than the "if it was one of your favorites" part, coz I believe it's totally off-the-point)
like CheerfulSoul said I find that there should be no one above the law, so if it states that they go to prison then they definitely should, though as notsolittlej pointed out I find prison to be a bit too-much of a punishment.
Come to think of it, I've always noticed how popular people in Asia like singers and actors tend to receive harsher punishments for their crimes, might be coz they're normally considered a role model in the public's eye. Consider it the price of being famous.
This seems serious. Never heard of the drug, read the wiki page but can't seem to know thy it's considered illegal…
It says:
"Unlike other sedatives, this drug has an extraordinarily narrow safety margin. It changes the body's state very rapidly so that the patient will go unconscious and stop breathing. It can affect the breathing even before unconsciousness. So even in trained hands, it is very difficult to titrate just where you want."
Now that's scary.
They say it cases euphoria and sometimes even hallucinations, I just hope that was not the reason they were taking it for, though it'd be hard to believe they were only taking it to sleep!! If it's a case of insomnia, there seems to be hundreds of other safer drugs they could've turned to, right.
On a side note though, reading the results of MJ's blood test, it seems hard to believe the propofol was the sole COD, I mean the guy was practically taking all the drugs a pharmacy can provide to sleep and forget!
This seems serious.
Never heard of the drug, read the wiki page but can't seem to know thy it's considered illegal in Soth Korea, can anyone please enlighten me. Aprry for my ignorance ><

WOW You're the first Palestinian that I meet here. I'm from Cairo, you?
Never heard of Asko March, but I'm currently enjoying Smile you, great drama.
I like romance-comedy the best in Korean dramas next are family dramas (like smile you). as for JDramas I prefer ones about politics/law/economy/crime (the serious stuff hehehe) and of course family dramas, you can say I basically enjoy all Jdramas except the plot-less ridiculous ones made purely for the eye candy (cough*HanaKimi*cough)

Always delighted to meet fellow Egyptians here ^^
Ana Manal, from Cairo, mawaleed 89, you?
It's kind of fun that your favorites has a drama that I really liked (IHYV) and one that I HATED can't even manage to watch till the end (City Hunter) :D Always wonder what people liked about this ridiculous drama...no offence.
You seem to be watching Heirs, how is it so far?

Great to meet someone my same age here, for some reason most Egyptians here are younger than me, was starting to feel like and ahjuma!!
I've heard before about JIN2 being more interesting than it's prequel, so I was thinking of redownloading it (hard disk beta3y kan baz fa da3oh men 3aleih) and watching it soon.
Beethoven Virus, is a drama you shouldn't linger on, it might have had a good music aspect about it but other wise there was a major problem with the characterization of the main leads, so the ending being lacking came to me as not such a disappointment in fact (zay sho3oor TOZ keda)
CH, shebh kol 7aga feh mesh 3agbany, wala el momaseleen wala el sha5seyyat wala el kessa wala el 7ewar, 7atta el e5rag we music nos nos! ma3lesh ya3ny it's not at all convincing that he acts all that righteous despite knowing his father's empire is all built on drug dealing!! I gave it up already!

JIN, this drama I know I should definitely watch the second season, but whenever I think of watching I know that I'll have to re-watch the first season so I end up putting it off. Don't tell me to just watch it, coz it's in my character not to start anything from the middle or try to enjoy a drama when I can't recall the key interactions between the leads. But your words definitely encouraged me to give it a try soon isA.
Looks like you've finished Beethoven Virus right? How did you find the ending.
CH, that's one drama that's simply not my cup of tea, I hate dramas that feel made up & not natural, te7essy ennohom bey7awlo yelza2ohom fe ba3d be el 3afya. I guess I'll be dropping it, but currently I've put it on hold

My major in college is Japanese so I've reached the advanced level already, I was saying that I respect how you were able to keep it up on your own until such a high level....I honestly always need someone to force me to study and not a very good self-learner (and Korean is the proof)
So, what are you watching lately?

Hi!!! I'm Manal from Egypt, nice to meet you.
We seem to share a lot of common things, other than our first JDrama being hana dan, there's also the fact that we're both learning Japanese & Korean. It's great that you've managed to reach an advanced level in Japanese all on your own, I'm pretty sure I would have never managed to do the same :D
I might be a bit addicted to Kdramas at the moment, but they can never take the place JDramas occupy in my heart, & of course I have to admit that when compared to their Korean counterparts most Japanese dramas have more profound and deep messages to deliver through a very well-written story, while KDramas mostly focus on a variety of intriguing characters and their fun interactions. You end up hooked to the story/script after watching a JDrama, while in KDrama's case it's rather the characters themselves that you develop an attachment to.
Sorry for making it so long, hope we can be friends.

HI! Thanks for accepting my friend request.
I'm Manal from Egypt, nice to meet you.
I can see you're watching master's sun, how're you finding it up till now?
I'm glad to see You have two of the dramas I plan to watch on on your favorites list (Ojakyo Bros and Smile you) Also you gave high ratings to other ones I'm planing to watch (salary man & Nine)
I was thinking of watching Smile you purely for JKH coz I liked him loads in Cruel City, but honestly the number of episodes made me consider putting it off for the time being. Do you think I should watch it?

I'm doing great, good to hear from you ^^
So glad you liked Good Doctor, and yes JW did an awesome job on this one.
I personally try not to judge an actor based on the drama's story or script, I know it's among his responsibilities to choose a good drama that suits him, but let's be honest you can not always judge a book by it's cover. It's all good as long as his acting was convincing and good enough for the role ( i.e. if the role is meh then his acting can be meh as well)
he's among my favorite actors but not the top five ;-)
It's a totally different topic but I noticed you gave city hunter an 8! I'm currently watching it and honestly I don't like it at all. can't still manage to find what's hooking everyone on this one.

The honor is all mine, it's soo fun to know new people and make new friends here on MDL, especially if we share the same interests and tastes.
Mr Brain, I remember I was watching it on TV while I was in Japan but never really liked it that much. Maybe coz I was comparing it to other KimuTaku dramas which I Have watched during my Kimutaku craze, or mostly owing to the fact that when I was in Japan and watching the Japanese TV I had acquired a sudden dislike to KimuTaku as a person (up until that point he was merely an excellent actor), I mean he was on toooo many shows and CMs and honestly he was starting to feel showy and vain. Not the right causes to hate a drama I know, but still if the story was interesting enough I believe I would have been hooked to it. Still glad you're liking it though.
If you're thinking of watching a Kimura drama, then I'd recommend Long Vacation or Hero or Engine or Good Luck, those are waaaay much better than Mr. Brain.
Good luck with Japanese OUENSHITEIMA~SU

sorry for the late reply
I haven't heard about Adolescence Medley before, is it that good?
I have watched BV long time ago, remember I was tempted to watch owing to the popularity it received as a musical drama and some sites comparing it to nodame which is one of my all-time favorites, but to be honest it was a bit of a disappointment. Not sure why, but I remember I was mostly bored and felt the story dragging quite a lot with many side-characters to handle. Also didn't fancy the ending much. sorry to be saying all that while you're still watching :S
Arifureta Kiseki, I remember it was airing while I was in Japan but I never felt like watching it, how is it coming around?
I was thinking of continuing Tonbi which I had put on hold to watch other stuff (I was not in the mood for a slice-of-life drama at the time, to be honest still am not)
I see you have dropped city hunter, I'm still @ episode 6 and not liking it at all, can I ask why you did?
hmmm, not at all excited about itakiss' sequel...I have a feeling they'll end up ruining the drama even more.
I rather wish it's just a special episode (tanpatsu) not a full series.
Is it only me?

Hi Zezi, Eid Sa3eed my dear hope u're having a great time
Well, I just finished watching cruel city and currently watching Shut Up flower boy band, and thinking of watching a new JDrama as well, but haven't yet decided which.
And you?
