I don't know about mangas much, but I don't believe that the more complicated the conditions are the more the story would be considered deep. She chose to make a sacrifice and was ready to seal away everything to protect him, he somehow sensed the loss of an important memory & tries hard to remember but he can't because it's not the normal amnesia, it's rather a "magical" one (I have to admit putting it that way makes it look a little silly :D)
If you ask me, the push and pull may have been a bit frustrating at times but on a closer look it gives a deep meaning, and shows a major character development (SHE: understanding the responsibility that comes with her ability and just how dangerous that could be on innocent people dragged about, HE: finally becoming honest with himself and just how he loves her.)
BTW, I loved above all the fact that he regained his memory on his own with no magic

It seems to be a well know bug over here, don't know when they are willing to fix it though :(
Well I guess you can tell by my profile pic that I like it, though to be honest I was enjoying it a lot until the 12th episode. And maybe due to extention but the last two episodes felt a bit dragging, not to the extent it became boring but maybe coz it was much more exciting before that it makes feel the story's become a bit stale. It's not my favorite drama, and maybe not the Hong sister's best job, but it certainly is interesting and enjoyable enough.
I hope the last 2 remaining episodes pay up and satisfy everyone's needs of a happy ending with lots of cute moments from the OTP (I love their chemistry btw)

Hi!!!
I received an email friend notification but as usual I can't seem to find it on MDL to accept, so I allowed myself to add you instead. Hope that's ok with you.
I'm Manal from Egypt, nice to meet you.
I see you're watching Master's Sn as well, how are you liking it so far?
I freaked out for a second while scrolling when I saw the first female cast, coz I naturally thought she was the one playing Makino. That would have been a REALLY BAD JOKE!!! Thank God she's not her.
I doubt I'll be watching this (not really a fan of American Dramas...save for CSI LV maybe) but anyway, Good Luck.

Hi!!
Just saw your article about the American BBF remake news,
I've posted a comment and got a reply from this user
http://mydramalist.com/profile/BBFseries
with the following info:
"This is an adaptation of the Original Japanese Manga. Not a remake of the Kdrama. Many media outlets are posting that but it is wrong. Hana Yori Dango translates to Boys Over Flowers so they just assume that we are remaking the KDrama even though we keep saying Japanese Manga."
If that's correct then I think the news need to be edited.
Thanks again for all your hard work & devotion
So it's a remake of the Korean version not the Japanese one? hmmmm!:( However, that seems interesting, if we consider…
GREEEEAAAAAT!!!! So So glad to hear that. Thanks a lot for your fast reply.
Hope who ever wrote the article corrects the info.
Wishing you all the best P(^^)q

However, that seems interesting, if we consider this just the beginning of a new phenomenon; AMERICA remakes Asian dramas.

Al salam alaykom zezi!
Thanks a lot for adding me ^^
Your encounter with Asian dramas is a bit similar to mine only the order is the other way around (Japanese first then Korean) ;-)
Btw, I have a sis who's also a grad of asr el aini med school, but she's finished her internship and is to become a resident soon isA.
Wishing you and her all the best:-)
Good Job on this marvelous article.
It's the golden rule of K-Dramas; Just as the heroine ultimately chooses the bad guy, we the viewers end up cheering for her although we sometimes feel bad towards the "Other" guy aka. second male lead.
Just as you stated, the whole point behind most of the Korean dramas especially the romcoms is the character development the male lead goes through and how he becomes more mature through his encounter - and later romance - with the female lead. In a sense, it's become an over-used premise that it's starting to feel a bit cliched and boring. So when this rule is broken in a K-Drama THAT'S when things become real interesting *thumbs up* but that's rare of course.
Please keep writing articles ;-)
I'd add the following: - those strangely boiled eggs they smash on their foreheads in public saunas, and of course…
Well the boiled eggs are mostly shown in sauna scenes but sometimes they're shown in different situations (picnics and bentos) so I meant to refer to the manner in which they eat it (smashing on the head only remove the shell partially and eating)
As for scenes in which stepping on laundry: I can't remember all the other dramas I've seen it in, but I can recall Beethoven virus and I think also be Strong Geum soon.
I'd add the following:
- those strangely boiled eggs they smash on their foreheads in public saunas, and of course the indispensable towel that they marvelously wrap around their heads.
- Doing the laundry by stepping on it with one's foot, know it's not such a rare kind of laundry but let's be honest why the need to tire yourself if you have a perfectly functioning washing machine?!
And i slightly disagree with u on the handkerchief part, at least that's not the image it gives me in asian dramas.

Hi Bimba!
Thanks a lot for the friend request.
I'm Manal from Egypt, nice to meet you
You seemt o be watching the two shows I'm currently watching; Good Doctor & Master's Sun, so how are you liking them so far?
Great article.
I loved a lot of the songs you mentioned (well the ones I've watched)
I love the same songs from Dream high, but I'd also wished they'd added all the songs in the OST like the Kim soo Hyun and Suzy's duet for Maybe.
Innocent Man's OST, I mostly listen to Really. Might be coz I've never been able to find the OST that's not ripped out of the drama itself :(
I ADORE IHYV's OST a lot, both the vocals and instrumentals, but I hate the producers for not including all the instrumentals that played as BGM in the drama. there are a few epic pieces that I was shocked to find they were missing in the OST.
Would like to add other OSTs that stick badly to my head.
City Hall (Uneasy love & Loving Loving you)
My Name is Kim Sam Soon (Be My love & She is)
Rooftop Prince (Hurt)

Though I don't know Nam Gyu Ri, but googling her I can understand what you mean.
Korean beauty standards sometimes feel like it's all about plastic surgeries, they even admit to that in there dramas (like when a woman blames the other that it's obvious she's never carried out one!!!) well, Korea's famous in that field so that's no wonder.
Examples of actresses that are regarded by Korean-standards as beautiful and which I find fake and not attractive are: Park Si Yeon & Park Min-Young...

Well, I agree with you that the more one watches dramas the more he realizes that idols could lack a lot in acting skills, but still it's not a rule & there are numerous exceptions in that field both Korean & Japanese.
Hmm, looks is a subjective thing, one might see an actor super handsome while the other can find him so-so. I admit that JaeJoong is pretty,(don't know how to put it but)as a human-being, not as a man (does any of that make any sense?)
Choi Kang Hee was one of the main reasons why I didn't enjoy 7th level, but there are other negative points to that show that made me hate it, so I don't think you've missed a lot by not watching it imo(you can check my review of it)

I forgot to mention how I totally agree with you concerning the female lead.
It was my second time to watch a drama for Choi Kang Hee (7th level civil servant being the first) & I have to admit how I hate this actress a lot.
1) she's not attractive at all imo
2) it's so obvious she's had multiple plastic surgeries she looks so fake
3) she always looks older than her partner
4)-the most important point- I find her acting unconvincing, she exaggerates with her expressions and I hate her voice a loooot.
Don't know how Koreans find her beautiful!!!
Despite all that I still managed to enjoy PTB which proves the drama's good enough =)

Well to be honest PTB is not one of my favorites, it might not be the best rom-com out there but I'm sure enjoying the comedy it has to give, adore the script that brings a smile to my face constantly, also I find all the characters super-cute sometimes to the extent it all feels so comical I can't hold my laughter.
Hmm, no need to compare him with anyone, Jaejoong is not my type looks-wise, his voice is nice though.
First time to watch a drama for Ji Sung and already I like him a lot, he handled his character very well he was so convincing, & despite his horrible hair-style most of the show I found him very attractive ;-)
He's getting married soon to Lee Bo Young from IHYV

One little advice, comments on MDL don't support any letters other than latin ones, i.e. Neither Chinese not Arabic will appear.
