Glad you enjoyed this too;) When I first started, I almost dropped it as I found the humor BGM was overplayed, but as I persevered to ep 9, I realised how I enjoyed this and now after it ended a few days ago, I am still lingering around. Will only move on if another next show hits me that way.

Fantastic review as always. I was waiting to read it, and most points you raised resonates with my thoughts after watching this show. Love your title ‘smirk & soak’ and Li Qin shines for this show. When I read so may people feel the CP’s chemistry, I wondered was I the only one that didn’t really feel them. lol! Glad I am not alone, as you, I agreed that they were great in their roles, and particularly Chen Zhe Yuan’s acting here surprises me, but their CP was just okayish. Then the last 10 ep was like watching Macbeth, scratching my head on the over the top theatrical scenes. The villain actor has his limitation in range of acting, felt he could need more experience to show the depth of this character. But overall, it’s a fun ride;) and 8/10 for me too.

Love his new pfp😍.

Hahaha…if you watch enough XianXia, you will realize these are must have tropes in the stories🤣

Love that black snake;). All spirit companion in this show and that one are so adorable and loyal😍.

She gave her two of her heart blood which will prolong his life and curb the poison temporary. Hence you noticed he is very weak and can’t even block Situ ling’s attack. Without antidote, he will die soon but not immediately. The root is an ingredient to make GMD which Master She help to do that after it was obtained.

It will be explained in subsequent ep., watch on;).

It’s wrongly translated. The term used here is ‘先生’, a polite way of calling Mister…but of course that Chinese words can be machine translated to ‘husband’ as the machine doesn’t know the context of how the term is used🤦🏻‍♀️.

Hahahah…I feel you. I was wondering, why can’t she bite her finger and feed him with her blood??? She did that previously, and now she has to bite lips🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️why???

Enjoy the show;). Majourity of us enjoyed it very much🥰.

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎉🎉🎉That’s great news 7.0 for Douban is pretty good, slightly above average kind of good🤩.

The ML has chemistry with all supporting casts;).

Yeah, but the immortal mentioned here is very different from the usual XianXia description. Here there are only six realms, lower and upper realms based on the realms wealth and power; and people / creatures can obtain cultivation powers if they have spiritual veins. They don’t live forever like most immortals in XianXia world. So this story is classified more of a XuanHuan.

Yan Xiao has a redemption arc after first story arc completes.

You are not alone😅Same same😘

Yes, the chemistry builds up very well as ep progresses. The begin is as such as both have an agenda to be closed to each other.

Hahhaha…that’s a nice one. WDBTD couple indeed explored a lot of those moves in their “spirit well”🥰.

He guessed it in ep 25 and confirmed it in ep 26.

Yes, the original Zhang Zheng in LIP died. They mentioned here that Zhang Qi is from Zhang family, may not be a direct descendent of Zhang Zheng.

👍🏻keep the count going💪🏻🤣
