special shout-out to Qiao zhen yu (who plays the character of Wu Lian). He played the part of Wu Lian to such perfection that he became a character that the audience love to hate, I really enjoyed his acting. I saw a few BTS and the actor, Qiao Zhen Yu was practicing a very serious scene with his fellow actress, he seemed very cooperative and helpful... It is a great feat for an actor to play the character of a villan with such distinction.
Does anyone know what’s become of Sanniang’s master 7 years later?
He was ruined by Wu Lian financially for helping sanniang escape after the testimony and so had become quite mad... Her master was roaming the streets like a beggar where Sanniang found him... So she joined the group to avenge what had been done to her master.

* The group has found some physical evidence finally... In the beginning episodes Wu Lian was telling, RuLan that all plum blossom flowers are different and unique... No wonder he has embroidered plum blossoms on a branch of a tree and written name of each of his victims on the flowers... It is rightly said that each crime has some evidence and a serial rapist would keep some kind of a trophy... Meng Wan and the team had to find one person from those victims who would testify against Wu Lian to reopen the case.
* There seems something fishy about Tian Xiaoling, Li cheng feng'd childhood sweetheart... Probably she has already been taken advantage of by Wu Lian so she does protest too much... As both Li cheng feng and Tian xiaoling are still alive, I hope they can find some kind of happiness in this life.
* love the friendly talk of Liu sanniang and Li Jia Hang while drinking liquor, hopefully they can also find companionship with each other in future.
* Ru Lan is looking like a walking dead, she has already decided her fate... She did not write any wish while floating her lantern...
It is loud, chaotic, rowdy and hilarious... Just for laughs... Keep your brain aside and enjoy the ride... I am loving it so far, watched till episode 5.
This drama seems to be heavily inspired by classic women literature.... It reminds me of many Jane Austen's works and also 'little women' by louisa may alcott.
I like the juxtaposition of everything unraveling and devolving in the past (7 years ago) versus everything slowly…
I agree with you... This drama would be more interesting if binge watched... Atleast they should have continued with two episodes per day format..... This break plus only one episode per day released for previous three ones is killing the momentum and affecting the emotional impact this drama managed to create in starting episodes.

All three of them will be exceptional because the production team is putting in quite a lot of time, effort, money and thought into them... These will be a treat to watch... Additionally they have also roped in all stellar cast for even minor characters so there will not be any filler or dull moment in my opinion.
No doubt that 1st and 3rd installment have very interesting storylines and they will be a hit with the viewers.... But my opinion is different than yours for this 2nd installment. The story is quite simple in this installment because it focuses on one main pair but based on the actors the production team have gathered to play a part of 'masked daoist' group, I feel intel gathering and case solving by this group will be a significant portion of this installment, all support and guest actors being a part of this masked group may be given their own short story arc, helping the forward momentum of this story making 2nd installment equally interesting.
Episode 13Loved Bai Shu, he comes across as playful even in serious situation, the characters he plays always…
* I wished Meng Wan and RuLan would have left the city together.
* greatly admired the support they give each other.
* Li chengfeng the sneaky thief, deliberately pulling at RuLan's purse to divert her pensive thoughts😆
* things not looking good for RuLan, red wedding dress is an ominous sign for her. Wu Lian directly threatened her that she may have an accident and could die in his house.

*Lu Bu Ping being jealous that inspite of working so hard, he is always scolded by Mrs.Chun while A-Si, an outsider is treated with so much of love. 😝
* like the developing relationship between Pei Lan and Bu Ping, he grumbles and sulks and she soothes him. ❤
