The series was completely filmed in Thailand, but Fan Xiao has a very strong Thai background, he speaks Thai, was raised there, etc. The Thai vibe is there because it's canon. It would destroy his character if they were to remove it.

Exactly this! He isn't. I'm not a fan of toxic relationshipts and characters in general, but here I was rooting for them until the end.

It's absolutely valid. Lu Zhen has his weaknesses, but he's not the main person at fault here.

Except that they've moved everything to Thailand, they are keeping it very close to the novel, thank you! Fan Xiao doesn't need to be toned down, You Shulang can handle him. :)

Hopefully they will soon and before the series is released, it's been quite a long time. It can't remember it taking that long with other series.

I don't understand how I can view all of the Chinese BLs on Gaga without VPN and exactly the one I've been anticipating most and have been actively waiting for is geoblocked. I can't afford to pay for VPN and every single streaming service, so Viki is not an option.

I'm in Europe, but it doesn't matter, Gaga kicked all of us out. :( I use Express VPN and it works for me.

It's confirmed, on Gaga it says that it's coming on Saturday, and on Viki it says that it will be available in 2 days. Are they waiting for an official release schedule for all episodes maybe?

It works on Gaga with VPN without problems. I normally pick Malaysia, but other countries work too.

Why aren't they adding the airing date?

The novel is a rather heavy read and Fan Xiao is a very toxic ML, be warned. But it's a great book which I recommend anyway and if this is any indication, I was rooting for the mains to end up together unlike in My Stand-In and some other similar toxic BLs. From what I've seen, the adaptation is very close to the book so I'd say just watch and decide for yourself.

Lu Zhen is You Shulang's boyfriend before Fan Xiao. He's rather weak and gullible, but not a villain. Fan Xiao's plan from the beginning is to split Shulang and Lu Zhen up so he can have You Shulang for himself and he succeeds by making Lu Zhen believe he likes him and leave You Shulang for him.

So nope, Lu Zhen is not the one who ruins anyone's relationship, that's Fan Xiao. :D

Nope, Lu Zhen and Shi Li Hua are not a couple. I'm not sure they even met in the novel.

There is sort of a side couple in the book, but I don't know whether they will include it, and it's very minor. Trust me, you don't need a side couple with Fan Xiao and You Shulang. ;)

iQIYI won't show it, it's Chinese BL and it's supposed to be uncensored. I know it's been filmed in Thailand, but the actors are Chinese and I doubt iQIYI will dare to show it. To be honest, Gaga was my only hope and I was crushed when I saw that Europe is excluded.

Viki is possible and hopefully, they will pick it up for Europe. The date 15-th November seems to be correct, but I'm still surprised there's no promotion or a trailer whatsoever. They certainly don't seem to want much publicity. :)
