I love the drama a lot. I think everyone should give it a chance. Maybe even just because Yoo Jinoh is one of the most precious characters there has ever been. He's certainly become one of my all-time favorite characters!
It's a movie you can cry your heart out to. It's pretty sweet and I liked that it had twists and turns, but I was not too fond of the speed and the way they were developing the plot.
But this can be a great movie if you're in the right mood, just prepare tissues and watch this until the *very* end, even through (and after) the credits.
This drama came as such a pleasant surprise itself. Hearing that Joy is the lead female -- and it's her first drama ever and then realizing that a genre of the drama is music -- and it's somehow not one of my favorite genres for dramas..
But I think this is a little gem of its own. It's got this light atmosphere around it, and you will find yourself suddenly smiling a lot while watching this.
Yes, this drama has a lot of new, inexperienced actors and actresses, however, I found that they all did a very good job. Joy was surprisingly good as well!
My most favorite part of this whole drama were the friendships and relationships between Crude Play, Mush & Co and Sooyeon. And I think that's the main thing that made this drama so precious.
I would definitely recommend this; this is a great choice if you are looking for something quite light and sweet and / or are a fan of k-pop, because this drama gives a great look into what goes on "behind the curtains" in the industry. :)
Even though I did quite enjoy this, found the story quite original (solving cases but not as detectives), I feel like you can obviously see how much they're trying to be real, but they can't quite get there.
And that's not the only flaw I found.. Not all actors were equally great and when episode 20 ended, it felt like some things were kind of left hanging.
However! The whole story and the characters seemed even heart-warming, you aren't able to not let it get to you. You'll feel for them and laugh because of them.
Another thing I appreciated is how everyone got what they deserved and the character growths that were made.
Yes, maybe this is not a drama as perfect as it could be, since it had such high potential, but it is definitely a drama you need to see. It's far from my favorites, but I almost feel like I will miss this. :'D
During the first hour of the movie, I thought I this could deserve 9.5. During the second hour, my rating fell down to 9.0, since I wasn't too fond of how they went through it all again. But the ending they gave for the uncle and Count Fujiwara made me give this no more that 8.5 because it just weirded me out, and I didn't understand whether to laugh or cringe.
This movie certainly is put in the mature genre for a reason (even though I did not expect it to be *that* sexual). But what I do love about this is certainly how they filmed it, because visually I just could not believe how beautiful it all is done.
Pressed play with no intentions, almost ready to hate this, and the only reason I watched this, was Kris.
However, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I'm still not sure if the movie is "my type" and the ending is one where a sequel for the movie would be needed, and some things were a little too confusing (as in who is the bad guy).. But it was entertaining enough, the actors did a good job and it's obvious how much work was put in to make this movie.
Watch it if you're a fan of Kris, a fan of the Wuxia genre, or just want to watch something (very) different. :D
I think the whole concept of this drama is quite original. It is a drama about a time traveller, however, the main focus is the Yoo Sojoon and Song Marin's relationship.
I don't think this is a drama for everyone. People who love the romance genre and enjoy slow dramas could end up loving this a lot, others -- not so much.
Personally, I found some episodes of this amazing and some very hard to sit through. This drama certainly had its ups and downs in the flow of the plot. But the development of the relationship was nice to watch, they certainly had chemistry, and it was interesting to try and find out why everything is the way it is. I know people had problems with the side characters, I thought that pretty much all of them were interesting, however, there were some for whom I did not understand why they're there.
I'm not sure if this would stay as a very memorable drama for me, one I would miss, but I know that there would be people who would love this a lot. So if you can't decide whether to watch this, I'd say you should give it a try. :)
Now that I've finished it, I kind of don't know what to do with myself. :'D
As much as I had hoped in the beginning, this drama did not stay equally as perfect all the way through. At first this drama really felt like it deserves a 10, but then they started going a bit overboard on the comedy, and I kept thinking that some of the characters are really not needed.
But this is such a nice drama. For the most part, the comedy is quite great, and Ahn Minhyuk is a character who could have his own show. The romance is so adorable, the acting is really great, and I liked how they joined together the genres of romance, crime and comedy!
I would certainly recommend everyone to watch this, you just sometimes need a little bit of patience during some scenes... But it's worth it. I already know I will miss this drama, which, in my opinion, is a little gem of its own.
I was surprised to see Healer on here. I found it had a rough start, but as I kept watching, I fell for it so hard. I think it's one of the most well-done dramas there are. I remember that when I was watching the drama, I kept thinking about how well they have, for example, done the casting, and how carefully planned the overall plot out. I gave it a 9, but if I found the time to rewatch it, I think I could give it an even higher rating.
There were several things I disliked in this drama, and it reminded why I dislike the whole concept of web-dramas.
The original plot-line was pretty unique, but I felt that nothing more than that actually happened. I wasn't too impressed with the acting, and this drama just loved showing unnecessary scenes and / or flashbacks. I also had hoped there would be more for the romance, but...
I wouldn't necessarily recommend this, but you can check it out if you are a fan of Winner or if you are looking for something quick to watch. However, I do not think this is a must-watch or a masterpiece of any kind. :D
I'd say this is the best web-drama I have seen, at least until now. :D
It's a drama that is very easy and fun to watch. Unlike other web-dramas, I don't think this one even contains any cringeworthy material. :D The biggest problem for me was how not all of the characters interested me equally and sometimes the plot seemed executed a bit weirdly.
I was very impressed by Yuri's improvement in acting, and the main couple's chemistry and relationship was really great and fun to watch. :D
Honestly, if you have problems finding what to watch next, this might be the perfect drama to fill that empty slot in for you. It was for me at least. :'D
Also, so many people are saying Bae Sunghyun is the man she should have ended up with... I honestly think that none of the two men were right for her. Kim Sungsoo didn't appreciate her when he should have and he cheated on her. Bae Sunghyun also had his problems and, forgive me, but changing your nationality, name and going to study in another college over the age of 30 at the other side of the world "because of love" and so that your potentional fiance's parents would accept you, is not very normal either.
I gave this a 7.0, but deciding on a rating was very hard (and I might even change it later)... Here is the thing: this was not a boring drama (which... when I give this rating, boredom is something the particular drama being rated makes me feel). I would actually say that it was very entertaining and fun to watch.
However, this drama had several problems. Firstly, you have to be very patient while watching it. At first the big problem was Sunwoo Inyoung, and how the character was portrayed. But then there were more and more characters making stupid decisions and doing things that were not understandable. Secondly, there were characters that, I feel, never experienced the thing called "character growth". Next, I hated how sometimes (or more often than that) it seemed like they are trying to normalize cheating. Cheating is not normal, not okay, should not be forgiven and should not be done that easily! Also, sometimes it was hard to understand -- do they not know how to portray the problem or are they actually just laughing at it and trying to make it seem not serious enough? And last but not least, I feel like the ending did not end things properly, if that makes sense.
Maybe right now it sounds like this drama is terrible and maybe the things I mentioned will end up being the reasons I eventually lower my rating, but honestly. :D If you are looking for something to just spend your free time on, something to kill your boredom with, something different from the usual korean dramas... This could be the right choice for you. But don't go into this expecting a masterpiece, then you will most probably end up disappointed.

I struggle the most with #2 (hating dramas other people love and the other way around), although #1 also sometimes becomes a big problem of mine.
