I also question that but giving them the benefit of the doubt MAYBE as a kid, Chang Ning just doesn’t randomly gossip unless the topic is being discussed. Maybe to Chang Ning, her Jie fu is just Yan Zheng and she doesn’t really pay attention to his identity. As for Bao Er and Qian Qian, I question why Chang Ning did not mention it to Xie Zheng like mention how she met them and how they’re in trouble or something.

Not shown yet in the released episodes but it’s in the preview. Basically, according to the army law, Chang Yu has to be punished and Xie Zheng pretended that he’s not the Marquis of Wu’an so he could take the punishment for her.

That means I have to bear around 2 to 4 episodes of him fooling her. I’m surprised that the punishment scene is only in the drama and not in the book.
