Hi guys I worked on subtitles for Episode 1. I'm still a noob so excuse if the subs are amateur.cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/763198899690143824/1016089846395179168/HikariRaiders_Kojinsa_Arimasu_EP01_1080p_WEB-DL.srt
Thank you so much for subbing and sharing it. I really enjoyed episode 1 and had no problem following the story with your subs :D
Really? How is this more Kdrama style? I thought this is kinda typical execution for a Jdorama slice-of-life genre.
I'm not OP (obviously), but perhaps it's because this drama has an aspirational sheen (glamorous job, glamorous style, everyone is so stylish and put-together) that is more common in contemporary Korean romance/romcoms than in Jdramas of the same genre.

Thanks, @Umechan. I've always enjoyed your subs :)
Rating 10 after the first episode. Oh boy ... 🙄
Just FYI, but I understand that some people here would rate something "10" when it started airing and then adjusted the rating accordingly per episode. I never do that myself, but hey, everyone is using MDL differently, I guess.
Not gonna lie, I prefer the first season to this one. That said, I appreciate the showrunners for trying something new with the whole dark youkai thing, instead of just rehashing the formula from the first season.
seems like it'll be a while before it gets subbed :')
Umechan on Twitter has said that she wanted to sub this, but she couldn't get the raws. So hopefully, like @Kez said, once the raw version is more easily obtainable, she will start working on it :)
Wow, amazing article for an amazing director! It's obvious how much time and effort and love that you've poured out into this, and I don't think I can applaud you enough for it.
Loved this line in particular: "Obayashi preferred a very rapid method of cutting a film together, almost as if the images preceded the actual narrative"--because it pretty much explains this distinctiveness present in his movies (the two of them that I've watched anyway) that I couldn't quite explain.
I'm almost glad that he's a very underseen director for me, because that means I still have A LOT of movies to watch and enjoy. Definitely going to keep coming back to this article for reference, for sure.

Even the terminal illness plot can't stop me from watching these two working together. The question is whether it's going to get subbed at all, considering that it's a Wacha original. (I didn't even knew what Wacha is until just now.)
It's easy to draw parallels between Sakuraba and the hotels. Shabby and out-of-fashion. Haruko would probably…
I've only found out that he's an ex-Johnny's because as I checked out some clips from this drama, YouTube kept recommending me some Otokogumi videos. The guy's cute but his (and his bandmates') dress was atrocious. I mean, of course it was the late 80s/early 90s but knowing that didn't stop me from laughing so hard ;p
I can only get their subtitles on Twitter? Befriending they (if accepted)?
Just FYI, but the subber seems to be based in Japan. Which means that they might want to be even more careful than the ones based abroad. Hence the private twitter account.
