The FL was so pathetic from what I remember, it was genuinely irritating to watch. Still one of my faves though...…
I don't actually dislike the romance genre, I just hate the overdone/overused tropes in k-dramas. I have no problem with romance if it's written well and I can root for the leads! ๐
I get that you hate the ML, but at least he's not getting in the way of Jang-Mi's revenge. And to be fair Jang-Mi…
Fair point, I just thought you were expressing it because you'd had negative opinions (valid, btw) regarding Baek-Ho before. I think if Jang-Mi's mom died, it'd motivate her more. Or Tae-Pyung... because right now Jang-Mi hasn't done much of anything. :/
The funniest part is that they were speaking complete gibberish. That is NOT how French actually sounds ๐ญThis…
Fair point, I did too lol
I found Eun-Byul INCREDIBLY annoying. I understand what she was going through and I think the actress did a decent job (despite being OTT, but EVERYONE in the drama was, so... ๐ญ), but, yeah, I'm on your side. I actually did like Seo-Jin, but preferred Yoon-Hee more (my Eugene bias is showing? Lol)
THANK YOU!!!!! This was my exact problem with Su-Ryeon- she felt like a Mary Sue... Lee Ji-Ah did great but it felt like things were too easy/coincidental for her and it was annoying most of the time. Also her fans irritated me too, sometimes, which didn't help ๐ I guess you were neutral on Yoon-Hee & Rona (the hate Rona got in particular was WAY too much...) I loved Mari though ๐ฅน she was the best mom out of all of them! And she grew a lot as a character!
Onto Return: I loved Ja-Hye a lot. Also Ko Hyun-Jung is becoming one of my favorite actresses too. For Nara, I didn't like her as much, but I grew to like her more later on. In-Ho is SUPER complex, no spoilers, but... he's very interesting out of the 4 scumbags. ๐
Light spoiler, but Mi-Jung is tied to a LOT of the plot/storylines involving the characters, especially their pasts. She's quite twisted. The ML does look like Seo Jun-Young and it took me a few episodes to realize that he was Lee Jin-Wook (player 246 from Squid Game, and the same guy from Goodbye Mr. Black.) He's short-tempered AF (annoying), but he is very clever. Which I loved.
Lol I called them the 4 evil princes/scumbags. Hak-Bum is disgusting, Jun-Hee is complicated, and Tae-Seok (how funny, lmao) is NUTS. Like an even worse Ju Dan-Tae. They get far worse later on. As for Jin-Ju, she's more of a side character and plays a supporting/minor role as time goes by. But I think you'll love the development of the storylines and how they all connect. Because they do, and it's in a MASSIVE way. ๐
The amount of plot twists and cliffhangers were just wild ๐ญ had ME questioning if I was the killer. But foreshadowing and hints come up. I'd be sure to pay attention to smaller details, cuz if you miss it, the big reveals won't make any sense later on. There's so many suspects in Mi-Jung's murder, and then things get more complicated, more bodies start dropping, more crimes are committed, MORE mysteries need to be uncovered... just insanity lmao
The synopsis did say that JW killed her father and got punished for it... her behavior/seeing herself in SA makes sense. Also, SA is supposed to be a complex character. I do feel like the episode dragged, though, good performances. Also YM's downfall is fun, too...
Incorrect. There are people in the comments being absolute weirdos towards Sang-Ah and the other female characters + the actresses themselves vs the male actors/characters. And there's definitely people in the comments crying over Sang-Ah being sapphic...
peakkk hope they completely get rid of the hetslop !!
Mine had one of the FLs be sapphic (she was a lesbian) too, with a past girlfriend. And Friendly Rivalry, I think? That's all I can remember for now, there was another one or 2 as well...
pure evil?? Egotistical? pure evil people do not feel remorse. Sheโs a person that has done bad things to survive…
Complex villains do exist though, not all villains are pure evil (TM.) Sang-Ah falls along the lines of an antihero or an anti-villain. Or a complex villain. Idk.
Canโt believe FL chose to do a GL drama at almost 50yrs of age. Maybe this drama about a @has beenโ really…
Then don't watch it. We're not in the 2000s anymore, rom-coms with 1-dimensional FLs characters aren't a trend anymore. There's a variety in content if you actually look...

Kim Tae-Hee was so good as the villain, I can't remember why she hated the FL though. Jealousy?
