The teaser was AWESOME!!!! It doesn't even look like a daily drama!
Right, right. Even the writing for KBS2 dailies have improved. I think MBC dailies have always been fairly "lower" than KBS or SBS dailies ratings & success-wise. KBS2 came out of their "flop era" with Cinderella Game, so to speak... but SBS dailies do need to be brought back, yes lol IMMEDIATELY!!!
What strategy do you suggest for JW to fight back? I feel she does need to lose a bit, since our villainess can't…
Agree with the husband part, but I'm somewhat neutral on Hye-Ra. If she believes that Jung-Won is really her daughter... what will happen then? How does she explain this to people?
Ha-Neul definitely needs to step his game up... but I don't need him with Jung-Won at all. 😂

My comment got Thanos snapped thanks to my laptop, so I'll write it again...
The dad NEEDS to die- because stakes need to go up.
Let me explain... in revenge dramas (in general, not just k-dramas), the protagonist usually suffers a personal loss, whether it's in the beginning of it or in the middle of it. This either starts the revenge or strengthens it. Also, no major characters have died yet in this drama. Daily dramas like this need a major death (or a few) that permanently changes everything. Things would be too boring if no one died. Also, today's episode and his character being such a major victim + holding some of the biggest secrets? That man's a goner. Jung-Won does need more motivation for her revenge, and KB dying is the perfect way to do it!
Did they ever explain why Yeon-Hee is so obsessed with Myung-Jun, or did I forget something? Because this lady is craaaazyyyyy! Also, Hwa-Kyung, Hwa-Kyung... I love this FL. "The truth won't put food on the table." Why is she lowkey right? 😭
To play devil's advocate - the summary suggests that Jeongwon faced traumatic events due to being related to Kibeom…
So far Ha-neul seems to be a hindrance rather than more of a bad guy. I'm not sure if he'll join the dark side, but if he does, I'll be surprised. Se-mi is a grey area, but I see her ultimately being one of the drama's victims...
I completely agree, this is becoming my favorite daily drama, but I'd loved to see more exposition too.
JW's greedy too. She's always been the ambitious type... she's just a villain protagonist. She did not want to…
She doesn't need to necessarily show off or shop 24/7 to be considered greedy. Her greed is not materialistic, greed can mean anything. You can be greedy for money, for clothes, for food, for a family, for love, lust, etc. That's why it's one of the 7 sins.
JW is nervous because her castle of lies can be toppled at any moment. But also, she uses her emotions to her advantage to manipulate people. All JW wants is for her life to get better. So when YC gave her the chance to live as her (temporarily), JW took it. And she really, really liked it. She loved it so much that she wanted to stay there forever, she didn't want this game to end. And then YC did her dirty multiple times, even stealing her chance to become famous, so JW decided to get even. And decided to embrace that ambition/greed- "I won't be a murderer's daughter anymore. I won't struggle anymore. The key to no longer struggling is by being YC. She has it all."
As I've stated more than once, JW definitely envies YC, this has been implied and basically confirmed in the show. YC had the better life, YC treated her like a servant, YC was rich and popular. And JW wanted that too.
However, I agree with the part that JW doesn't love herself. She's been through a lot, her feelings are valid. What she needs to do is heal first and foremost. But also... everyone in this show is messed up to a degree. YC is trash but has a wicked mom, so I feel slight pity for her. HR? Yes, she abandoned JW/SA, but clearly regrets it.
I think the FL is pulling off the character well, but sometimes her acting comes off as awkward. She definitely…
Yes, I think so! (Also, I meant *PARK* Si-Eun, not Lee. Whoopsie.) As for the second girl... I watched Left-Handed Wife and The Two Sisters. HYJ somehow managed to be terrible in both dramas, which is impressive. 💀
That assistant was very annoying. She missed the main point. But I knew it.One punch frm hyera he is a goner.…
If I remember, I don't think Yeo-ri knew Maya was her kid till she was about to donate the bone marrow, but I could be wrong. And Maya's treatment only got worse after Gaya died, so I'm not sure if it was a good thing...

Park Si-Eun was in a few daily dramas (not recent ones.) An actress I genuinely dislike is Ha Yeon-Joo... keep that girl away from the cameras! FOREVER!!! 😂 I literally won't watch a drama with her in it, idc.
But the FL here is not as bad as her... so like I said, I expect her to grow. If I wanted A+ acting in a k-drama, I'd watch a primetime one, not a daily lmao

Maybe that's the vibe she's supposed to give off. She's pretending to be someone else after all and is very, very manipulative. Like I said, I expect a darker turn with JW at some point. And sometimes she creeps me out, which is good... yet unsettling lol
But in general, she has chemistry with the other actors/characters (except for HN, but he's just boring overall! Yawn!)
She's not as bad as Park Si-Eun (I can't stand her) or Seo Hae-Won (she played Han Woo-Jung, the SFL in Secrets & Lies and she SUCKED!)
My opinion? FL is doing good but she needs a little more experience. Daily dramas are a good form of experience because you get to see the actors/characters grow. My opinion on Park Yoon-Jae flipped after I watched him in Queen's House, it'll probably happen here with the FL too. A lot of actors tend to improve in these kinds of dramas, so I'm... holding out hope, I guess? I like her.
I agree with the Semi part. I don't think she'll be antagonistic.
Facts! I still don't think she'll back down, though. Maybe she'll start coming after Tae-seok instead (especially if/when Ki-bum dies.)
Ha-Neul definitely needs to step his game up... but I don't need him with Jung-Won at all. 😂

Also: I lurk on NamuWiki too 👀
Second half is exactly what I was trying to say. There are no good people on this show (except for Se-Mi and probably Ha-Neul.)
