I think the FL is pulling off the character well, but sometimes her acting comes off as awkward. She definitely nails down the serious/spiralling scenes (the scene with JW & the dad in YC's apartment [I think] freaked me out, showing just how far she'd go to keep pretending to be YC.)

For me, it's her physical acting that seems awkward at times. That's my only problem, and it's a minor one at that. But daily dramas don't have the best actors in the first place, so I can overlook it for the most part.

SFL is definitely doing a good job, and their (FL/SFL) relationship feels very believable to me!

JW's greedy too. She's always been the ambitious type... she's just a villain protagonist. She did not want to be poor, hated the fact that she was called a murderer's daughter (despite her dad being framed), and always envied YC, who even stole her designs and got into a top art school. I don't find that too difficult to understand.

It was about greed and getting back at YC before the revenge plot (against HR) began.

I guess it's another k-drama trope I need to get used to. Penthouse made sense since all of the characters ended up living in the same building, but damn, if it isn't extra common in these daily dramas! Plot convenieces... lmao 😂

This drama was wild from the get-go, Yeo-ri literally married her uncle-in-law... wtf? Also, Gaya definitely let the abuse happen. He could've helped more. He didn't deserve to die, but he was spoiled rotten.

The way poor Maya was treated makes me angry!!!

I asked myself this. How do all these people easily travel to each other's houses? The Jins and Jus, I understand, they likely live in the same city. But the Chas??? Really? Ya gotta love k-dramas, there's no sense of time or distance. 😂

Hye-Ra (Mrs. Hypocrite) pisses me off. Instead of slapping people and throwing tantrums, try using your goddamn brain to figure something out for once, you idiot! I'm so sick of her, ugh!

Chairman Two-Face (Tae-Seok) is creepy... the actor is doing an amazing job playing him. Mr. Waffler/Haneul? I no longer care about him. Se-Hun/Grey Knight? I'm hoping he stays with Ms. Crafty/Jung-won for real. Again, I love Gangsta Mama Nan-Suk, but damn if she isn't 1-dimensional af 😭 I love it AND hate it at the same time!

The way Chairman Two-Face GRILLED both Sly Fox (Young-Chae) and Ms. Crafty was scary... but impressive. I definitely see Dummy Dad dropping dead soon. Like I said, more people are gonna die because of this massively entangled world.

Side note: I love how the (rich) people in this drama actually *feel* rich and elegant. It doesn't come off as fake like it tends to in most daily dramas. It feels believable and authentic. That's one of the things I genuinely like about this daily. Kudos to the writer.

The Penthouse-type music at the end lmaoooo I love this drama. Ooooh, that preview! Somehow, I don't completely think that Sly Fox's seduction of Grey Knight will work. Rather, I see him becoming obsessed with Ms. Crafty instead. And Mr. Waffler, you ain't gonna do SHIT, man. How exactly are you gonna take down Chairman Two-Face? You have no plan and no motivation other than your teenage puppy love for Ms. Crafty. Go get a hobby instead of following her like a dog's tail.

I can't predict how any of this will end... but things are heating up now! (Hopefully this drama's ratings reach 10% soon.)

Not quite, I think it's just a common trope in daily dramas. Sometimes the ML and FL work together for revenge, but other times the ML tries to stop the FL. HN isn't really doing anything here. He's more of a hindrance than a help to her.

That's on par for a makjang. I'm not gonna dump him just yet, I do feel like he'll eventually go to her side and stick with her.

Yes, but Temptation of Wife and Temptation of an Angel too. I liked Penthouse S2, but S3 was UNNECESSARY!

Oh, the chef can definitely help, even though he (they?) seem like a neutral party lol. Nan-Suk's assistant (Secretary Gu, if I'm correct) could be swayed somehow.

I can't see Hye-Ra on JW's side, but Se-Hun should stay on her side. He probably will. Ha-Neul annoys me right now... Mi-Hyang is on her side... who else could ally with her?

Nah, the wife (MH) is completely on JW's side and willing to help her. The dad is irritating though.

What strategy do you suggest for JW to fight back? I feel she does need to lose a bit, since our villainess can't get wins all the time... I definitely feel like Dummy Dad will die, which will break her.

Right, right. You and I basically have the same opinion here. I think the drama probably will focus on JW and SH, they're far more interesting. I even find myself skipping JW/HN scenes now.

Exactly, SH is a far more interesting character. HN is *SUPPOSED* to be getting revenge for his father, but hasn't done a damn thing for that. HN is just... boring. Of course his acting is fine, but his character has nothing to do.

Oh okay, I see what you mean now! So it's more about the framing/presentation of the character rather than their actions/motivations? This I can agree with... I guess I should get started on this show. Like, I know that Ah-Jin is a sociopath because of her *past,* so obviously her trauma broke her (mentally.) Basically, a (slightly more) ruthless Ju Da-Hae from Queen of Ambition. Thank you for the explanation, makes things clearer now.

Though I think gender bias needs to be discussed more. It's a complex issue with multiple parts to blame, the audience, the writers, etc. Different outfit for a different day.

I do recommend the dramas I mentioned except for Escape of the Seven... it goes off a cliff really quickly. Lol
