People be acting as if shipping two characters that are not canon romantically linked is a new thing, when it's been part of watching dramas since forever - whenever people shipped a straight or gay relationship.

Amazing, how it's ONLY an issue when people ship two people of the same gender. But when people talk about great chemistry between female and male characters in dramas and how they wish there was a romance between them, no one criticise shit 🙂

as i replied to Riakrazy, Jun Seo sold himself in a completely different light on their first date. She was into the caring, empathic and manly dude he was on their first date, not the "bro" dude who barely pays attention he was on their second. Jeong-su who is not interested romantically in You-jin still treated her with more care during their date than Jun Seo did towards Si An. Like, if he is not an empathic and caring person who pays attention, why act this way on their first date ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The issue is - on their first date in the Paradise he sold a completely different picture of himself. He was caring, empathic and paid attention to her. And now he treats her more like a buddy. He was interested in him in the first place because of how he acted on that first date, for him to do 180 in second.

The same way he rightfully should not change for her, she should not change for him. He is a person who does not need to receive nor show much confirmation of emotional support, she is one that wants a lot. They are not wrong as individuals, they are just wrong for each other. Gang Hui asking "Yeon Su" is he can abandon his mother can have two meanings - literally putting an ultimatum: i cannot be with you if you are in contact with your mother. But for me it also reflects her situation - i feel like it might feel like being with Yeon Su is like abandoning her mother. Getting together with the son of the woman that "took away her dad when he was the most needed" and all that.

The more I think about the dad the more pissed I am. It's not just past mistakes. He is still friends with people who treat his daughter like a trash. Like... there is no fucking excuse.
