yeah by that logic he should be with his child even more - you never know someone might try to break into the neighbor's house knowing it's a single mother with a child so she will be easily controlled if threatened with a child. Like this reasoning is just... sorry but stupid and a poor way to excuse ML putting his new boss over his child who just recovered from depression. If the world is so dangerous and you never know, he should prioritize being at night with his child, not his boss ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And if you cannot trust anyone, I ask again - should he moved in with her? Not leave her side 24/7? By all means she was safe in the office, and if we go paranoid with "you never know" then were is the line? Technically you never know and she can be attacked at the office every day when she stays late. Maybe he should just move into office just to be sure 🙃

He saw she is safe IN THE OFFICE. Put the blanket on her and leave. There was ZERO reasons for him to stay with her when she is SAFE in her office sleeping. It's not like she was sleeping in a public place or something.

He just drop drop majority of responsibility of his child on his neighbor coz he wants to take care of his boss to the extend that is far beyond what he should be doing as her assistant. Like... by now his neighbor took over raising his child. This is wrong.

i dont wanna sound weird but it can be dangerous for her if u think about it. < how? What can potentially happen? No one else was worried, not even her friend and business partner. Why are we treating FL like a child. Why is he treating her like a child he needs to take care of?

He is not taking some time off the recharge his batteries, he is workaholic. This is not a break 🤡

My issue is, it's not one. Out of all working days they showed so far, he only ONCE left when there was still some light outside (so not late evening) and all the other times, he was literally the last one to leave. So it's not just one overnight.

I would not have that much issue with it if they did not established how apparently important his daughter is to him, to the point he risked his career knowing what might be the consequence of it and did not take the job literally because Mi Ae told him he will have more time with his daughter. HELL, I would not even have that much issue about him working so much if all he did was work, but by now he basically oversteps a lot, him staying with her when she is drunk when she is safe in the office was just ridiculous. Same with him driving around so she can have a good sleep. It would be romantic, IF his child was not neglected at the same time.

Still like it overall. Kind of want to see more of Jung Su Hyeon, and add Woo Jeong Hun since they already connected them.

I do not want to sound like broken record, but the way he cares and worries about his new boss more than his own child. Like if someone described me his situation outside of the context of the show and romanticized scenes of him and Ji Yun, I'd probably call him a red flag 🤡

Like what the actual fuck about him staying with her the the office coz she was drunk and feel asleep on the sofa. Even going to the office to see if she is there was for me too much, but let's say I get it, dude prioritizes safety a lot. She saw her safe and asleep on the sofa, put that blanket and clock out go see your child 🤡 Like this shit IS NOT ROMANTIC when you know he has a child at home. Similar case of that driving around when she was asleep - not romantic since HE HAS A CHILD THAT HE SHOULD BE WITH AT SOME. Home about you get home early to read some fucking bad time stories TO YOUR CHILD WHO JUST FINISHED HER TREATMENT FOR DEPRESSION AFTER YOU NEGLECTED HER FOR WORK? 🙃

This is a rare case of a show where I would rather see them build a strong platonic friendship, than a romantic one.
Also, I love how the tags say workaholic FL, when ML is just as much of a workaholic if not more. Legit from how they are presenting the drama, he is the first one at the office and mostly the last one to leave 😂

Just like... why even make him single father? Just write a story that his wife divorced him and took his child coz of his workaholic tendencies, he tried to fix it by taking the leave and that fucked over his career ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Aside of that extremely frustrating aspect, I'm still enjoying it. Really like today's plot between Yong Su and Gyeong Hwa. I'm also really liking Su Hyeon. There was all organization porn in this ep so that's a bit disappointing 😂 Glad they are diving a bit into the past story between FL and Hye Jin. I would guess Hye Jin was the one who made the decision to cover it all up, and the CEO took the blame for her. Maybe they had romance or something? And Hye Ji basically threw him under the bus, and then tried to blame his death on FL.

Take less well paying job. Yes it would be hard form him to get hired in a massive corporation, but not everywhere with his experience. He decided to pick the job which leads to him being s neglectful parent again, going back to the way he was living that led to his child being depressed. That's a fact. Also of he signed the contract with the idea he will have more times it's his fucking choice to ignore it and stay after hours. No one else does from other employees. He is literally alone in that office every fucking evening. There is no excuse for that

With the mess she had? For sure. It's not like he had all these plastic labels ready too, where did they come from? They were extremely specific to her business partners and clients 😂 that's the shit you need custom made.

Yeah but if he has free time during the day, they need to show that, they need to show how he is chilling with his child, since the whole premise of his character is him being a dedicated single father who puts his child ahead of his job 😂

The child literally just finished her therapy and as the therapist said, she is not fully well, just a lot better. The child is one year older from when she was depressed, not even in school yet.

Of they did not try to present him as a father who prioritizes his child over work, I would have no issue with this set up. But they did and now he prioritizes his boss over his child 😂

No way he only stayed for like half an hour overtime (he would most likely need around 30 minutes to get home) when he see how much work he actually does in that empty office late evening 😅 that's at least 2 hours type of a deal.

But even 8pm when he is a single dad and his child was in a freaking therapy for deep depression because they did not spend enough time together in the past is still fucked up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it is in fact "that late" in his circumstances. His child at that age should be in bed around 8.30pm. so what.. he spends just around hour of time daily with his own child? 30 minutes morning and 30 evening? And that's in the best case scenario of he actually only stayed for like 30 minutes overtime at work 🤡

They made it too big of a deal as a set up to know just not give a fuck how he is basically doing exactly the same he did when his daughter was depressed 🤡

I could not give less fuck about romance myself, yet I am still enjoying it. There is not one drama where there was nothing I disliked or had issues with. This is no different. I dislike how the sidelined his relationship with his daughter, but I also like a lot of different thing. Dramas are made of different plots and storylines for all the characters and it's never 1:0 type of a deal - you either like everything or disliking one thing makes you hate the whole show (some exceptions happen, for sure. Everyone had this one or two pet peeves they cannot get over).

At the end of the day this is not a family drama, was not promoted as family drama, so if someone had expectations it will be family focused drama... it;s on them.

I do hope they will somehow address how he spends so much time at work tbh. Him being a single father was one of the aspect I was curious about and wanted to see more, but now they do not really show much of him being a father...

okay... it's not THAT serious. Inconsistency in writing, sure. But it's not like it ruins the whole show.

I mean, there are valid situations like when a person abuses another person and then said person commits suicide, or when someone tries to convince another person to kill themselves. Sure, then blame the fuck out of them.

But here is was completely ridiculous and not valid.

the bookstore he was off coz FL was also off work and he is HER assistant afterall. If she is not working, he is not working.

they need to either show more of his time during the day with his kid, or less of him staying overtime at work. Otherwise, they make it seem like he is neglecting her again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ that's why writers and directors need to be careful how the structure their stories and what they show and focus on.

I like how the handled the chef story. At the end of the day I feel like they are trying to show at least to some extend a realistic side of it. I like when the drama is more bitter sweet tbh 😅

I mean... from every work day they showed, he was staying late, after everyone left the office so 😅

Why it bothers me is the fact it was used to show his empathic side and basically how "perfect" he is both work and private life related, and now that the set up is done the child is kind of abandoned to be taken care of by a neighbor 🤡
