You mean CCTV, what is cvb though?
CVB is CVB. Just read the original comment again to understand.

Yeah, I think that character was probably around to add to extra comic relief because he was just dense and couldn’t…
That’s also true! He poses no real threat to his superiors in terms of position. If I remember correctly, Kuomintang never assigned him any serious deals or cases, probably because they didn’t trust him not to mess things up 🤣🤣

If it's just for some lackeys or people of little significance in their ranks, hiring anyone wouldn't be surprising. However, given his considerable position, I can’t help but wonder how he attained it and what steps he took to climb the ranks 🤣

It just struck me that the bond between Shaobai and Huzi is quite reminiscent of the relationship between Li Zan and Benjamin. And if TWOT closely follows what happens in the novel, I can't shake the fear that we'll see another devastating repeat of that heartbreak 🥲🥲🥲

So true! He’s way too dumb to be an agent in the first place

I still can’t wrap my head around how Liu Guiheng is an agent. He’s way too funny to be taken seriously LOL. One minute he’s holding a knife to Shaobai’s throat, and the next, they’re casually sipping tea and feasting together. Sure, he did it for the money and gold, but it was downright comical 😭

I did not expect Mr. Jin's death will leave me crying. Poor Yan.
Don’t forget the spoiler mark for people who haven’t finished watching.

Don't tell me XW will get a death redemption arc? 🤦🏻‍♀️ btw express has dropped.
Something might have gone wrong with my iQIYI, but I haven't seen anything about express package yet.

What happened to Jin Maochang wasn’t exactly shocking, but I can’t help feeling bad for him. He got tangled up with Shrike not by choice, but because he had to in order to protect his daughter. Luckily, he has Shaobai to look after Jin Yan now 🥲

I’m not very well-versed in political issues or Chinese history as a whole, but I’ll try to summarize what…
Yeah, apparently Xu Wei had something to do with the accident that happened on Fuzhou Road four years ago, though the full details of the incident haven’t been revealed yet. If you were referring to the police director before Liberation Day (when the police were still wearing the black uniforms), he was also working for Kuomintang.

Can anyone explain what the exact story , what exactly wrong lanting is doing exactly what communism means and…
I’m not very well-versed in political issues or Chinese history as a whole, but I’ll try to summarize what I’ve grasped about this drama. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

Lanting is part of the Kuomintang, the group opposing the Communists. Lu Zhengyang, a Communist, teams up with Shaobai, who is a police officer. After Liberation Day, the police are known as the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), where Shaobai and Zhengyang work. In short, Zhengyang and Shaobai are fighting for their nation, specifically Shanghai, because the Kuomintang wants to oppose the Communists as the ruling political party and sabotage the economy in Shanghai. As for Xu Wei, I initially thought he was working for Lanting because they were threatening him with his wife, but later in the story, it’s revealed that Xu Wei has been working for Lanting for several years.

Having sex is symbolized by clothes being hang up and camera showing water stream😅😅😅.
I probably would've missed that detail if I hadn’t read your comment. Since Jiang Ci was also hanging the clothes in the previous scene, I just thought, "Oh, this is some domestic shits that I always love." 😭😭

The story has been progressing so well in the last few episodes. It’s been rather satisfying to see the police gradually getting the upper hand against those assholes. However, the preview for episodes 32 and 33 has me holding my breath again. Shrike and his lackeys deserve to rot in the deepest pit of hell for dragging a child into their war 😓

The way I see it, Jin Maochang isn’t as evil as Shrike—not naturally, at least. While Shrike has absolutely…
Worst case scenario, Jin Maochang’s only path to redemption would probably be either death or jail. There’s no way he could escape all the bad deeds he’s done, even if he tries to share information about Shrike as a contribution. 🙃
