This isn’t like K-dramas, where the air date is announced like a month ahead. Chinese platforms might only reveal the date a day or two before the release. In the meantime, it’s best to have iQIYI account (and subscription later when the drama about to broadcast) ready.

I understand where you're coming from, and I agree that it wouldn’t do justice to the original book. However, China has strict censorship policies, and presenting everything as it is in the book might be too much. 🥲 While the ending might not be entirely different, it could still be altered to comply with their rules. But another thing I've noticed with cdramas (or at least the ones I've watched,) is that they tend to prefer realistic endings over the happy endings often seen in kdramas.
