I noticed that certain words—like those in a store, along the road, or in the market—are written in a somewhat unrecognizable font. They’re still in English, but just stylized in a way that makes them feel a bit different, if that makes sense. 😂 Also, the city’s population seems ethnically diverse, which might be an intentional choice to make the setting feel entirely fictional and avoid directly depicting real-world issues or events.
If you don't mind me asking, why using Serbian language doesn't match?
I’ve seen a few comments about how their feelings seem to be developing too quickly, and while I kind of agree,…
they don’t actually get together right away. After an incident, they lost contact—Song Ran returns to China due to her injuries, while A Zan goes abroad for treatment. They spend months apart, and it’s only when they reunite later that their relationship truly begins to take shape.
I’ve seen a few comments about how their feelings seem to be developing too quickly, and while I kind of agree, I’m also trying to look at it from another perspective. In the novel, [spoiler alert]
I am currently on episode 4. The granny who sold FL the seeds speaks Serbian language (that's my first language).…
Thank you for confirming the language used! I’ve seen a few comments asking about it, but so far, no one seemed to have an answer—until now. Really appreciate it!
As for the Eastern Country, if I’m not mistaken, they referred to it as Dongguo in the novel.
I don’t know how to feel about it, to be honest. I just think it’s way too shallow. I wish they had focused…
I think it’s because their story doesn’t just end when they get together or marry like most romance dramas. Based on the book, there’s still more to come even after the wedding. 😃
Genuine question—was it ever explicitly mentioned that she can only report from outside her country and not…
"Show me an article written by a mainland reporter criticizing theri government?" HAHAHAHHAA???!?!??!?!??! 😭
You made a claim about a journalist in this drama, got asked for proof, and now you’re shifting the goalpost to a broader political argument? Convenient. If the show explicitly stated she couldn’t report on internal conflicts, you’d have cited it by now. Instead, you’re deflecting with insults because you have nothing solid to back up your point. You're the idiot one, indeed.
FYI, once she’s back in her home country, she would be covering internal issues. Not surprised you didn’t know that—clearly, you haven’t read the book. But go on, keep pretending you know what you’re talking about. It’s entertaining, at least.
Yes, exactly! This is such a flaw in the MDL system. Several recent dramas I’ve watched have faced the same…
It’s pretty unethical—haters take advantage of this every single time.
Thanks for the links! I tried the first one, and it turns out I can vote—but only from a web browser. That discussion was from 2022, though, so I guess they still haven’t found a way to fix the rating issue after three years?
Oh, the admin’s reply was just 20 days ago. Fingers crossed they’re actually working on it now. 😁

Still didn't quite answer my question. You mentioned, "So they can only report the news freely from outside the country, not from inside?" But which part of the drama explicitly mentioned that? Does what you said also have any ground in the drama?
The part of the city that was bombed was likely just a small area, maybe a district, and not the entire city.…
Yeah, I remember now—there was that smoke and ruins behind her in EP1. It might truly be a production oversight. As for the scene with Li Zan diffusing the bomb in the car, I have to agree, hard agree. The focus was mostly on the car’s explosion, but the surrounding area wasn’t really shown. To be honest, the explosion itself didn’t feel all that impactful. It seemed underwhelming. 😂
Okay - I know this one of the most awaited shows, and I myself don't watch many C-dramas but am here watching…
Yes, exactly! This is such a flaw in the MDL system. Several recent dramas I’ve watched have faced the same issue—haters bombarding it with low ratings before the drama has even finished airing. They really should allow people to write reviews only after at least more than half of the episodes have aired.

Wait, so you're saying the road she was walking on after the bombing in EP 1 was the same site that was bombed? I didn't quite catch that... 😳 I remember the background of the destroyed part of the city, but I didn’t quite recall the road itself.

They watch the first five minutes of the drama and suddenly act like they’ve figured out the entire plot or how it’s going to end. It’s honestly insufferable. 😂
I'm sorry but this looks like a poorly made copy of DOTS but without the cinematography, acting or OST. China…
This narrative is getting way too overused. Just because a drama gives off a certain vibe doesn’t mean it’s a copy. I’ve watched DOTS and read The White Olive Tree’s novel, and honestly, there’s nothing similar.
