Watching these episodes makes me wish we got a little more of Si Ying. She was a cool character.

I'm also very glad they didn't drag out Susu not knowing who really killed her father. Which would have annoyed me. She didn't believe it was TTJ, and she knew pretty quickly Dimian was responsible.

TTJ already ready to sacrifice himself - too soon, too soon! You gotta take him down for good by destroying the evil bone, otherwise he'll just choose another devil fetus and the cycle will continue.

There was a scene released where we see Tang Lici seemingly holding a baby. I assumed this was going to be A Shui's baby. But maybe not.

This episode has another one of my favourite moments. Cang Jiumin giving in and using the power of the crossbow. It was for a good reason, but an example of inevitability all the same. The child being afraid of him despite him saving them all is still so sad. The god slaying crossbow is such a cool and creepy artefact

I also really loved seeing Li Susu drop in to protect him once again. Using her powers against Si Ying and Jing Mie. (though I do wonder where she went and dropped in from in this scene🤣)

That dress really is one of my favourites in the entire show. I wish we saw more of it.

When LSS holds TTJ after cleansing the demonic energy from him. The look of pure relief and love on his face always gets to me. It's one of my favourite moments.

Loved the entire scene at the end. The conversation of her telling him to let go and him trying to get her to admit who she is. Such great performances by both of them! The way she tries to be aloof, but breaks down when he leaves. 😭

Agree about it being healing. TTJ gives something the granny needed to pass on, and she gave him something too. Advice about Ye Xiwu and his morality, but also a chance to be a son, even if it was just for a day

Very clever of him and she fell for it. haha

I loved all the near misses with them meeting this episode. It raised the tension, because you're just waiting for it to happen.

The whole sequence with the old granny still makes me emotional. Hearing Tantai Jin call her "Mom" when we know he has never had one, and part of him has always had that longing. When she passes away and he rests his head against her. 😭

Xuan(huan) and (Wu)Xia. I'm guessing they just combined the two. Easier than saying Xuanhuan Wuxia.

It's not a romance drama (neither was the novel) so I don't believe there is a "female lead" in that sense, no. It's male centric. However, she is one of the main female characters along with Chen Yao and Bao Shang En.

There is something between Lin Yun's character A Shui and Tang Lici, but how prevalent it will be, or what they have changed from the novel, we don't know yet. I wouldn't really call what they had in the novel romance. But it has more than likely been changed a little.

Yes! Everything I've seen so far looks very well done visually. The shot with the red curtains falling around them was also very beautiful to me.

I would think so. Post production on Immortality was completed, and I recall (as far as I know) hearing that it received it's airing license. So it was fully completed. It is assumed the reason it didn't air after the fact was because it was only after, that restrictions about adaptations of BL content started to tighten even further.

There has been no confirmation of release, just a melon that says that entirety of HYX and Winner is King will leak at the same time and then be removed shortly after, just like The Spirealm was. Fans managed to download all the episodes of The Spirealm before it was removed. They ended up subbing it themselves. It was eventually allowed to be released officially through Viki and Viu etc, probably because it was already spread around. So the rumour is Tencent plans on doing the same thing, with the hopes that, like with the Spirealm, they may be able get an official release somewhere.

I'm taking the melons with a grain of salt (for my own sanity). Immortality is an expensive drama and I find it difficult to believe they would risk leaking it (and Winner is King) without a guarantee that they will get their investment back. But then again the other option is it remaining shelved while waiting to see if restrictions on censored BL adaptions loosen. So you never know. 🤡

There is no official release date yet. It only finished filming a few days ago. So it's not likely to come out until next year.

When the drama wrapped and they released that little BTS preview for it, one of the first thoughts I had was about how beautiful the cinematography was.

What are the chances of getting another trailer for this soon? I really love the one we got but im so impatient, I want more 😅

This is one I'm really looking forward too. Modern dramas don't usually take too long to edit and pass review and it wrapped up in November last year. So i'm hoping we get it at some point this year 😂 August? September maybe?
