They are step-siblings that do not share a blood relative, did not grow up together, have not been adopted, and have never lived together - therefore, there is no incest. In the US they would be able to legally marry.

When I first stated this series i dropped it after the first episode - not because I didn’t like it, but because I thought 36 episodes was just too much. Now I’ve watched the entire series 3 times. 😂
