There’s a battle going on for BL supremacy - and I for one am loving it from the sidelines popcorn in hand! We currently have strong competition between Thai-BL, K-BL and J-BL! I don’t care who started the fight - just keep it going. 😂😳😭😰🙄🤧😮😬🫣🤪😄🥰
So far, for me this is a gem and I’m loving it. Of course, our reactions are highly subjective, but I think the strength of this series is the sum of its parts. When you break it down, the concept is not particularly original, the acting shows no brilliance, and the production quality is average. However, the casting, script and pacing come together so well that I’m fully engaged. The dynamic between Gun and Cher is so sweet!
I just love a happy ending - even if it lacked some of the gritty realism of the first few episodes.
Many things impressed me, but two things stood out. First, everyone in this big ensemble cast carried their weight and impressed. Second, the storyline didn’t rely on a ‘bad guy’ getting there’s in the end to deliver the satisfaction we enjoyed.
I'm only 24 and I already feel personally attacked by this showhttps://at.tumblr.com/siqen/i-feel-like-theres-a-really-interesting-divide-in/z7wh15jkr8zgI…
I share your love for JimWen - and everyone else in the show. However, I can understand some of the criticisms is based on the casting of Jim. I have to agree that the relationship struggles he faced might have been more convincingly portrayed by an older actor. I struggled to buy into Jim being middle aged and done with the drama of complicated relationships. Jim and Wen looked very close in age. That being said, I still think Earth did a great job.
while I don't think attraction has to have any sort of logic behind it in the least (I mean look at how many people…
Thank you so much for this thoughtful and lovely response! You clearly have a lot of passion for this series and your attention to the details is quite impressive! Thx!
I’m loving this series so far - it’s such a refreshing change of setting and tone.
However, I’m four episodes in and i still have a couple nagging questions from episode one. First, i don’t fully understand why Wen is so attracted to Jim - is it just looks? It’s got to be more, and perhaps that is yet to be revealed.
Second, how and why did Wen end up at Jim’s restaurant - or even in the area - when he was supposed to be out celebrating his promotion?
I absolutely love what Kim Jung Hyun is doing with this role! The irreverent attitude and sing-songy way he talks cracks me up.
I can’t help but notice, however, there are some very odd directing/editing decisions. I’ve seen a few very strange cuts that don’t match the otherwise good production value.
I'm a bit concerned about how incompetent the hospital staff were, but I'm looking forward to how this develops.…
I had the same thought! He’s concussed and you’re not going to give the roommate proper instructions? Did he have an MRI? And he walks all the way home???
Shout out to Mild (Techno) for absolutely nailing the role of comedic sidekick! I’m laughing every time he’s on screen. His comedic timing is fantastic, and he’s just a sweet guy.
Wonderful ending. It's really what I like in a BL. It's a beautiful romance with two unlikely partners and they…
Well put! It really was about cynicism and misunderstanding the intentions behind each other’s actions. Thus, the line - you don’t know until the person tells you.
A really cute short series that’s never too serious but still delivers a heartwarming story. It’s fast, but with enough twists and turns to provide a satisfying and complete experience. In the end, it’s the journey of two young journalists fumbling their way into a relationship built on mutual, personal and professional respect.
