Penance

XiGuang’s complaint to Lin resulted in Logistics admitting their error and rooms being changed around. It was shortsighted to not wait for a 4th newbie when the rooms only made for two. I am not sure if she is staying with them or will be moved to another smaller room. This will hopefully not result in being a roomie with Rong. There is something flakey going on with the contractors and getting loans. I am not sure if they are defrauding ShengYuan or fixing it so they cannot obtain loans or both. The business machinations are unfamiliar turf for me. I am beyond annoyed that she ran out for Xu. 😝🙄He could have waved hi and left, but I guess he is making it clear he is not interested, or he saw the group of investors and upper management inspecting operations and opted to be quiet. He is efficient and does exactly as told but that he did not even check the worksite is a red flag that something is amiss. Lin understands what is going on with XiGuang and punishes her for deserting her post by having her complete the inventory. She learns the hard way why a hard hat should be worn. Between that and tripping on a ladder she might soon actually need medical leave. 😝She has completed the inventory and turned it all in and Lin has noted she completed it. Here I wish the drama made it clear why he has issues with her and going against his usual behavior and being an ass to her. Even she recognizes it is not his character when lamenting to her cousin on the phone and every encounter with him causes equal help and hurt. Lin is noticing there is an issue with the bank but he is still new to business and hasn’t put all the pieces together yet. Lin gives the three a ride to Shanghai and after the temple XiGuang gets them in proximity of ShengYuan building hoping to run in to Xu. This is a big damn waste of time. Her friends might have helped her more had she explained the real reason she was there. All of Lin’s hard work is going to backfire because the one he trusts most is in on it. He recognizes how talented Lin is and that makes this so much worse.😝 XiGuang finally finds out what day it is and how she’s wasted her friends’ time. This is getting overlong ….they had broken it off nicely with Xu and now this😝 And for drama they have not explained Lin’s attitude. I thought with cousin call it might come up but that opportunity was not taken. This episode disappointing all round.😝

Troubles at work

XiGuang definitely has no clue who Lin is and that seems to really annoy him. TBH I would not understand his issue had novel readers not included spoilers. After getting caught after hours she and mentor are begged by procurement dept to hurry up a contract because they wanted to rush payment. XiGuang’s desk and personal stamp are used on it and while she wanted to read all of the contract, she trusted her mentor and didn’t argue the point. It turns out that money unit for one item was in RMB currency and now a big finance mistake. The ass from procurement is talking a different story when he wants to toss blame for an issue caused by his department. While these two departments argue about how to distribute blame, Lin is observing areas of company and talking with an old mentor. There is then a nice long chat about renewable non fossil energy. Mr Lin is called about the money issue and personally handles it. What doesn’t seem right is that Mo department head getting on his high horse to criticize hires for a completely different department. That should be out of his purview once the upper management intermediates overlapping department conflicts. Lin kept his responses polite and civil while dealing with a pompous ass. The next time his lackey comes begging for a rushed contract I hope they take their time to read every bit of fine print and then clear it with supervisor before signing off on it. XiGuang finds herself transferred to admin where Lin will now directly be her supervisor. He has provided her a shield for Mo but admin has no jobs available. She finds herself in a very disorganized company archive buried under files and old contracts. She has found her organizing super power😂🤣 This job is actually a good break for her to keep her job and be low profile to avoid any further work issues. Lin does not seem happy with his job placement but his hand and wrist seems to be causing big issues which is why surgeon no longer a job option. XiGuang is cute singing to herself while cleaning. Lin shows up and gets a new reason to scowl at her.😝She should just keep working silently and not try to butter up the boss that has already saved her ass from a serious mistake. Her comment about rushing payment has him reviewing procurement contracts. He is offended by her claiming to have a good memory but with work details she has shown this to be true. He has challenged her to research their top 50 products and historically determine their prices and development. She is not happy with the assignment but she refuses to back away from it. She creates a spreadsheet with all the requested data and then asks for time off. He can’t deny her skills but she doesn’t get time off for her efforts. Her lame health excuse to a prior doctor did not go over well. She should have just been honest and say she needed a break to rejuvenate after all the overtime hours. The trio of roomies hear a new hire is getting one of the new rooms when they should have been on the list. They are especially annoyed because the new hire is in procurement department. They are deciding if they should speak up or stay quiet. It is already clear XiGuang is not gonna stay quiet. She opts to talk to Lin directly rather than file a complaint. So she corners him when he’s exiting from a meeting. Goes to next episode…

of course Do Yun forgave Song Ju Ha the 1st moment he did a half step towards him. the fact he still blamed him & was angry at him for making him develop feelings isn't a glaring red, warning sign Do Yun that he should keep away. heck even though now Song Ju Ha has turned him into a dirty little secret, Do Yun is over the moon - cause when they all alone he can be affectionate towards Song Ju Ha, the fact it's a one way street even then - doesn't matter. this will end in nothing but heartache for Do Yun, but love turns the best, stupid & blind - so it is what it is.. *************************************************** & not enough i was right about the 2nd couple was right about the main too - of course Han Tae I was running scared. this trope where cause they afraid to face their feelings so they hurt the one that had the guts to offer up their heart even if it got stomped on - is so over done & tiresome. so Han Tae I insulted & assault Se Heon, but everything was forgotten cause the day after he apologized & confessed?? i guess - hey as long as they happy what can i say - yeah this b.s. & i for sure wouldn't rush to forgive or forget - heck i doubt i would trust Han Tae I after he attacked Se Heon, trying to demean him. but i aint the writer. ***the fact that the brothers of the mains were together & might have had something is a weird twist. i hope Se Heon's older brother wasn't the cause of Han Tae I's older brother ending his life - that would be brutal... now that they finally r happy together.

knew it the sec i wrote how happy i was that Song Ju Ha had disappeared - oh well it is what it is, dude needs his head checked, WTF is his problem. he just keeps looking for someone not only to blame but to vent his frustration's on. 1st it was Do Yun, now Se Heon. that's why i kinda cheered when those 3 bullies beat his ass. pity they didn't do more damage - cause he was back to his usual bullying self the next day. blaming Se Heon - like f*ck off will u. ***********************************************************the fact Do Yun got the message & took a step back was a rejoice worthy moment - alas it will amount to nothing the sec Song Ju Ha decides he wants Do Yun, cause that's how it's written - Do Yun deserves better. *******************************************am glad Se Heon & Han Tae I r on better footing - oh i got it wrong & they didn't kiss under the umbrella, but the kiss that didn't happen in the previous ep took place here. now here's hoping Han Tae I will react better then Song Ju Ha.

i am kinda thankful that Song Ju Ha has disappeared, his sister coming to supposedly apologize to Do Yun came off half-assed. it seemed more like she was covering bases, making sure that when Han Tae I finds out, he wouldn't hold her accountable & know she apologized. ****************************************************************************************************************seeing Do Yun & Se Heon together i really feel like their pairing would've been really sweet. yeah Se Heon & Han Tae I got chemistry & that kiss under the umbrella was butterfly inducing, but idk Han Tae I still too standoffish for me & by now i don't get why he still keeps pushing Se Heon away. guess that's gonna change now that Se Heon is seeking refuge at his place, the "father" calms down.

so let me get this straight, Do Yun likes Song Ju Ha cause he saved him (once) from some bullies & then cause Song Ju Ha was angry at Han Tae I, he used Do Yun as his substitute, cause he couldn't hurt Han Tae I, as his sister might see & get angry at him?? & Do Yun quietly allowed himself to be abused - cause he fell for Song Ju Ha, cause he saved him that one time - am i getting this right?!? seriously?!???? idk who is more f*cked up - but this a messed-up plot. *****************************************i might have not liked how Han Tae I kept targeting Se Heon, but there is a logic behind that whole interaction, which with time & a bit of communication they r finding way to make peace. but the 2nd couple r just messed-up & both need to seek help. maybe they should ask Han Tae I for his therapists number.

Where is the urgency?

This episode was so frustrating to watch because while they had spent so much setup in previous episodes emphasizing how tight and urgent things would be to both rescue Su Xuan _and_ save Man Qing from the wedding ... and then everything unfolded SOOOOO SLOOOOWWWWWW. SO much time spent by the good guys just standing around or lamenting despair (including fake, illusion). It was just frustrating to watch play out in slow motion. You almost feel like they deserved to fail because they just did not act with any real urgency. Walking when they should have been running. The pacing and editing of scenes was just terrible. This was so different from say, the way Episode 4 was executed, when they stole the painting and rescued ZQC with urgency and precision in a very exciting episode. I have to assume this one must have had a different director? It was just not a good episode.

WTF was going on at the end... as is i don't like Song Ju Ha - what is his deal, why he mean to Do Yun?!? & now he is targeting Se Heon??? is he a predator?!??? he's coming off bad. the fact he antagonistic towards Han Tae I is also stupid, cause his sister has a crush on Han Tae I, as if that was his fault - he isn't even encouraging her. so he is damned if he does & damned if he doesn't - basically Song Ju Ha the main bad-guy, that return to school from suspension (am guessing) & now is back to his old bullying ways. **********************************************************************************************************************************the way things r progressing, i wish Se Heon & Do Yun were a thing - yeah it might be a less volatile romance, but is that such a bad thing?!? idk, what i know is that i am tired of watching Han Tae I manhandle Se Heon & Se Heon be this accommodating, understanding Uke - like stand up for urself. little winder now he is getting targeted by Song Ju Ha, bullies r great at finding weak individual's. guess this gonna be a toxic BL ugh
