IrenaK I somehow expected more from XiXiao's confrontation, but I'll live with what they gave me. 🤷♀️😑But about the rooftop scene — I was completely taken by surprise and confused. At first, there's an unknown girl and then, for some reason, XiXiao is also up there, even though he is scared of heights. That all felt so random, but I guess the purpose was to show us his trauma — the source of his fear, and meanwhile, to also explain the backstory of his mother. 🫣Even if I have mixed feelings about this choice for the plot, it was a really emotional scene. I wasn't ready for anything like that. 😢💔Also, I don't like Wan's mother hinting to Wan's grandmother about how and why Wan might need to get some money. Is she trying to guilt-trip her own mother? 😤 I really think Gou XianYing is the worst character in this drama and I am not sure if there is anything that can convince me otherwise. But without her, we wouldn't even need this drama, because everyone would be at peace and/or happy. 😒And another question in my mind — if XiXiao and Wan pretty much know everything about each other now, what could possibly be that big reason that separates them on such bad terms? 🤔

Ellen Yel This series is so good. I love everything about it. Its so addicting. My new comfort drama. A nice and unique series about rural life, freedom of choice, female independence and family dynamics. I also love how they portray the beauty of the sceneries at Guizhou, where itbwas filmed. It also shows all the delicious and mouth watering food and delicacies at rural China. The actors acting are top notch. Such an ensemble cast.
