It Was Nice But Could Have Been Better
It took me quite some time to finish the drama. The FL's character and her baby voice were a huge turn off me. But later, as I watched further, I realized that Esther Yu was the perfect actress to play this role. She was required to behave like this according to the story. Both Dylan and Esther did their role nicely, and they had nice chemistry. But the story was not anything special, at least for me. I really did not like the special effects much. The color felt quite a bit off to me. The cinematography was nice. I liked the FL's character more towards the end. The 2ML was okay. Moreover, the ending seemed vague and could have been better. I did not like the rushed ending at all. Overall, this drama is a very good one-time watch. Was this review helpful to you?
My shalala is back = Not addicted just in love
I didn’t even think I needed this until I watched the first few episodes.I was ignoring many famous BL series because I didn’t want to get addicted again. But our OGs were pulling me in so hard that I couldn’t ignore them. I knew that if I started this series, I’d end up rewatching Addicted Heroin for the nth time—and still, I couldn’t ignore how much I missed them. So yes, I went back… again.
Coming to the series… how was it?
For me, it felt like coming back home. I was giggling, kicking the air, and pausing a hundred times just to process certain scenes—not in a bad way, but in a very spicy way.
I don’t know how new BL watchers will feel about it, but for me, I’ve waited 10 years because this is a continuation of Addicted Heroin (side couples story). Literally, 10 years. So even if they’re just sitting together, I still get butterflies.
Their acting is so good, and honestly, our leads have become insanely hot and sexy. Just watching them on screen feels refreshing for the eyes.
I also loved the topic they touched on—false accusations and fake allegations against actors regarding relationships and cheating. It felt very real. We judge so many actors just because they’re famous, forgetting that they’re humans first.
The music is calm and soothing, and there’s one Korean OST that I absolutely loved—it just flows straight into your heart.
There were a few instances where I felt some miscommunication between the writer and the editor. At times, I also felt that Chinese humor is hard to translate accurately into English, so as viewers we end up feeling a bit confused—like, what exactly is happening here?
Disclaimer: my high rating is purely based on my long-awaited love for lead actors. So don’t judge me even if I rate this a 10 after saying all this.
And please, don’t let me meet that idiot director—how dare he do such things to our pookie?!
Now… the romance.
Oh. My. God. Who is even saying they don’t have chemistry?! That finger-in-the-mouth scene… AAAAAHHHHHH.
Just go watch it, idiots. No need to waste time reading my review. Like me, I’m sure you’ll end up watching it in one go.
-Ahhhh the ending.. How can you rush it like that. Give justice to my pookies!!!!!

And the OST… God, the OST. Every song feels like a confession whispered too late. I genuinely love all of them, but “A Season That Was You” by JaeYeon lingers the most—it stays in my head, in my chest, refusing to leave. The melody alone already aches, but when paired with Seon Jaegyu’s story, it completely melts my heart. You can feel his pain in every note—the longing, the regret, the love that was never fully spoken. It doesn’t just play in the background; it bleeds into the soul.
So thank you, writer-nim, for trusting a story that doesn’t need clichés to survive. And thank you to Ahn Bo-hyun for choosing this drama and surrendering yourself to a role that feels raw, mature, and deeply human. And thank you to Lee Joobin, whose performance feels quietly devastating—restrained yet emotionally bare, unfolding with a sincerity that makes the silences heavier and the emotions linger longer. Together, they delivered performances that don’t demand attention, but slowly carve their way into the heart. This isn’t just another project in their filmography—it feels like one of their most sincere works, the kind that stays with you long after the screen fades to black 🥹👍🏻.
Spring Fever doesn’t try to warm you.
It lets you feel the cold first—
and leaves you there, quietly aching, long after it ends.

The story spans over a decade and follows the complicated relationship between Ding Zhitong (ZT) and Gan Yang (GY).The story begins on a university campus where ZT, a hardworking girl from a modest background, meets GY, a wealthy and popular "golden boy." While ZT is focused solely on survival and clearing her family's debts, GY is captivated by her tenacity. Despite their "social chasm," GY falls for ZT’s resilience and pursues her relentlessly. They eventually fall in love, finding common ground despite their different upbringings.
As graduation approaches, GY’s family business suddenly collapses, leaving him with astronomical debts. Believing he has no future and wanting to shield ZT from a life of financial struggle, GY makes the heartbreaking decision to break up with her without explaining his true situation. ZT, feeling betrayed and "dumped" without explanation, grows to resent him deeply as she faces her own life hardships alone.
A decade later, ZT has become a successful, high-ranking professional in the investment industry. Her life is orderly but emotionally cold. She crosses paths with GY again, who has spent years working from the bottom to rebuild his reputation and family legacy. ZT is tasked with a project that requires her to work directly with GY. They must navigate their past wounds, lingering hatred, and the undeniable chemistry that never truly went away.
Now the question:
? What did ZT face during their separation time…
? Will they be able to face their past and continue their relationship, or will the past still be the thorn in the flesh that still haunts them…
That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.
This actually feels much like the story of Lighter & Princess. I must admit I haven’t watched Lighter & Princess, but I sneak peek into it a little bit, and for the first impression it’s kinda on the same vibe…
But overall, quite frankly I am quite bored with all kinds of stupid misunderstanding plot that ML & FL had… But, yeah… In the end this still considered quite good drama in the book

Great Murder Mystery But Dumb Love Story
Visually, this series certainly has its selling points. And it sure starts out with a fascinating and dynamic introduction. Certainly, one cannot argue with the dynamics of the storyline; they are intriguing and entertaining. Oh, by the way, there is also a love story, actually two, thrown in as a ruse to throw you off guard from the gruesomeness. I simply do not consider the focus primarily a BL, however. This is a very involved murder-mystery involving occult, supernatural spiritualism, ancient sorcery and utterly inept police work in order to stretch the story out to 13 episodes. So much of this story was so contrived that after a while, I was getting rather bored with the incompetence of the police and the dumbness of the leadership from the police echelon. In today’s world, it would be understandably hard to accept the abilities and trust the reliance of spiritualists who claim to see ‘ghosts’ as the basis for solving crimes. While I am not questioning such practices or beliefs, this story frankly carried it to an extreme, bordering on all kinds of creatures, both human and spirits, acting completely irrational. That I had a hard time wrapping my head around as a person who tries to see the world through some sort of logical lens in a world right now that is not showing much signs of being very logical. I wish these series would start to grow-up and present straightforward relationship developments without all the fluff and side-shows for a change. I do not want to have to dig to find the BL.Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet!
I enjoyed this drama so much, it a very slow burn, but i like that. The story was great, but oh how mad i was at the parents of Ye Guang.
I also liked the sidestory of the other couple.
The visuals were great and the music very good.
The actors did a great job, i was sad to see the main 4 actors didn't have much other things they acted in.
The chemistry between both couples were great, the kisses of the main couple were ok, those of the second coupe were great!
Definatly a must watch!

A Poor Attempt To Drag The Episodes
This drama would have been a nice one, only if the episodes were shortened by half. The script did not have enough material for it to be a 40-episode drama. The story was filled with too many fillers, in my opinion. The 2ML managed to draw my attention more than the leads. There were some really funny moments, and I enjoyed those scenes. Though the drama tries to give a nice message about loving beyond one's appearance, it gets forgotten in this draggy mess of fillers. Overall, the premise of the drama was good, but it was ruined by poor execution. Was this review helpful to you?
An Underwhelming Story With Great Acting
The story is not bad, but it definitely lacked, in my opinion, especially in terms of the character growth of the ML. Bai Lu in terms of acting, did great. I absolutely did not like how the character was written. In the entire story, I felt it was based on the poor communication between the ML & FL. Neither of them understood each other, nor did they try to. Each felt their own pov was the right one. Also, towards the end, I did not like how the writer turned the ML stupid for whatever reason. Overall, I did not like the drama much. Was this review helpful to you?
A Visual Feast of Absolutely Artistically Brilliant Cinematography
This drama was such a visual feast. This drama had one of the best cinematographies I have ever watched in a Chinese drama. The director was the star of the drama for me. The cast was really nice. Though I am not much of a fan of the FL's acting, she did a decent job here. The story was great until episode 20, in my opinion. Later, I felt the story slowed down a bit for my liking, but great direction and cinematography made me stay as a viewer. This has one of the most beautiful wedding scenes in the history of Chinese drama, in my opinion. I absolutely loved this drama. This was one of the best dramas of 2024.Was this review helpful to you?

Enjoying it so far, but that sound effect…
Currently on episode 5 and I’m really enjoying the show. It’s fun, chaotic, and a very easy watch with great chemistry between the cast. The only problem I have is with one sound effect that sounds exactly like the iPhone notification tone. Every time it plays I end up checking my phone thinking I got a notification, which keeps throwing me off while watching.
Other than that, it’s been a really entertaining watch so far.

Overall the the most entertaining season so far
I'm glad that the production crew finally fixed their sht after the disappointment the last 2 seasons brought. It even felt like they listened to us viewers -- I was actually surprised that my suggestions for improving the show coincidentally happened for this season. The main thing they needed to fix was the cast, and they definitely did good with this season's casting. Majority of the cast were interesting and contributed to the plot of the show. The last 2 seasons were full of model/influencer contestants, but now they've put back people with impressive backgrounds.
Mina Sue brought the fire to this season and totally carried the show early on. Minji brought the sass and totally gave "girl boss" vibes throughout the show. Jae Jin introduced a whole new character to the series and taught us that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Jae Jin was consistently impressive and admirable throughout the show, and his romance with Joo Young was a cute and lovely to say the least. Go Eun was the quintessential "it girl" of this season just based on the normal of male contestants that chose her, but I have to say that she lacked aura and charisma -- she was a bit underwhelming especially on the final episode. I-geon on the other hand is someone that tried to revive the vibe that Dex brought in season 2; a person with overwhelming charisma, a person that draws your attention. Though he was great in this season, Dex will never be topped and no one will ever come close, his impact is just something entirely different -- it was a valiant effort though.
Overall this season was great! I don't think there were boring moments throughout the show and I hope they continue making entertaining shows like this.

Bai Lu Is The Star of The Drama
This is the first Republican drama that I have watched. I absolutely loved it. Xu Kai seemed to be born to play the role of Gu Yanzhen. The casting was amazing. I loved the personality of the 2ML more. I felt his character was more stable for the FL. Sorry, I loved the FL with the 2ML more. The cinematography was really nice. Bai Lu gave it her all. I loved how her character was portrayed. She was the star of the drama for me.Was this review helpful to you?

Emotional and sad
If you expect a show like Gameboys, you will be disapointed, the pandemic context is just there to have the two mains characters stuck alone at the same place...We got Judah, a guy who want to find someone and be loved, essentially to prove himself that his grandmother was wrong about him, and Rocky a guy struggling to accept himself from a past mistake toward his mom that he's unable to fix.
So yes, the show is about self-acceptance for the character of Rocky, the actors performance is great. It's sad and emotional.
Judah lack of patience and understanding about Rocky (who need time) will cause the sad turn of the serie,
The two main songs "Sansinukuban" and "Ipu-Ipo" from actors of Beshie and Judah are both great.
Supports character are inexistant for almost all the serie, so there is nothing to say about them.
You probably saw there his a second season. I recommend you to consider it just don't exist. If you loved the first season for the story, character development or the emotionnal aspect, then the second season will just make you angry because none of these aspect are present anymore.

the best SI season! funny and chaotic
This season is definitely my favorite! You get so many emotions while watching it. It was really interesting to see how the relationships between the singles were developing. Many of them immediately expressed sympathy, but the chance to spend time alone in paradise didn’t come immediately. My favorite singles in this season were Min-gi, Hee-sun, and Go-eun, and the along men my favorite was HyunJae.
Min-gi captivated me with her personality and confidence. Hee-sun was charming, and it was heartbreaking when Su-bin's feelings were misguided. Go-eun had her own charm and radiated exceptional sincerity, care, and kindness. Despite the fact that Goeun couldn't decide or reveal her feelings until the last moment, I found her visually appealing and humble. I initially knew that she must have a lot of fans, because she does fit the standards of Korean beauty and her name sounds powerful.
Hyun-jae was greatly underestimated, as he was both handsome and charming. His character was initially modest, but it was evident that he would eventually reveal more of his personality.
There's no need to comment on Mina-su's antics, we all saw it online. Mina-su realized that she had lost everyone, so she clung to Sam Lee’s feelings to avoid being left alone. Min-gi's words helped her regain her sense of reason, as she had become too reckless. After the last Paradise, I-gon 's behavior became so erratic that it would have repelled any girl.
Despite everything, my favorite couples were Min-gi and Seung-il, Hee-sun and Su-bin, and Jae-jin and Joo-young, as their last trip to paradise was incredibly romantic.
This season provided plenty of laughs, but it also caused discontent due to Mina-su's antics. Although Mina-su's presence made the season more interesting, it also infuriated viewers.
However, I highly recommend watching this season, as it is a must-see show.

Wasted Potential
Watching this one was a waste of time, the best part of this series Sougo Tokiwa actor did a fantastic job in portraying his role without him this would have been very hard to finish, First episode was interesting after that it was not that great then it started to get interesting with Kamen rider ninja, space KR & other future Kamen rider arc, it's more like fan serivce, nostalgia etc. gives proper ending to Kamen Rider blade. Kamen rider Agito, Kabuto, Den-O, Kiva arc were done well, another saving grace addition of Decade who plays a major role in the show, after all this when everything gets revealed like who is the main bad guy what was their purpose it's like meh, this show has some good parts done well other than that nothing good to offer, might be the worst Heisei Era show when it comes to the story dept, fan service and nostalgia part is superb.Reason for saying this is not great they failed in telling a compelling story, this could have been the best Heisei Era show if it was done well had all the ingredients for the best Kamen Rider show but looked like they didn't know what to do with all those ingredients.
Noteworthy characters Sougo & woz would be the best, Decade as best supporting character, time jackers were interesting especially the blue one who felt more energetic. One time watch with a lot of skipping, no worries won't miss anything imp skipping most parts.
