Snooze remake
I love the Chinese version of this drama, and it is leaps and bounds better than the Korean version, however, Kim Yo-han for me isn't the problem. Yes, the acting is nowhere near as good as the Chinese version, but I don't think that's because of Yo-han. I didn't like the female lead's acting, and this put me off. It came across as cringy and quite forced. I believe that maybe this just wasn't the best casting, as I found the couple didn't have any chemistry. However, the side couple was a glimmer of hope. I grew to enjoy watching the side couple a lot more than the main couple, and found that the acting and the chemistry between the two were a lot better.
Personally, if you were interested in this plot line, I would 100% watch the Chinese ver first and then give this a shot if you still want to watch it.

Tear Jerker -- Deeply Moving
Lee Seo-jin is the main reason I watched this drama, and I am glad I did. There is just something about his acting that pulls me in regardless of the story or the character. He delivered a compelling performance as Ji-hoon, successfully transitioning the character from a detached, cold individual to a warm, loving partner. His subtle expressions and gradual shift in demeanor effectively showcased Ji-hoon's emotional growth. His dimples, when his character finally starts smiling, became a beloved aspect of his portrayal and, of course, his undeniable chemistry with Uee and mature romance was refreshing to watch. For me the hardest parts to stomach were Ji-hoon’s interactions with his family and I mean all of them. The father, the cunning stepmother, the weak stepbrother, and even his old lover. She was the most infuriating besides his mom, of course.Despite using some familiar tropes, Marriage Contract manages to be deeply moving and engaging because of its strong character development and exceptional acting. It's a drama focusing on the power of love, family, and resilience in facing harsh realities. It is sincere and earnest in its execution. It doesn't rely on overly dramatic twists but rather on the emotional journey of its characters. The development of the lead couple's relationship feels organic and believable, especially for characters who are a bit older and have past experiences. The standouts for me were Uee and the child actress Shin Rin-ah; their chemistry elevated the show with their compelling portrayals, making the characters feel real and relatable. The same goes for Uee, Lee Seo-jin, and Shin Rin-ah. Their believable family dynamic made the characters' emotional journey resonate deeply with me.
Marriage Contract is a story about finding happiness and meaning in life, even when facing a difficult prognosis, and the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones. I like that beyond central romance, the drama beautifully explores different forms of family relationships, whether by blood or by bond, highlighting their importance and impact. Marriage Contract will make you laugh, cry, and give you warmth and appreciation for life's precious moments. The phenomenal chemistry between the lead couple and the adorable child actress is an undeniable highlight that makes this drama a memorable watch.

Big Waste of time
Just to begin, I've attempted this kdrama on 7 different occasions because I like giving things a second chance, but the first time should have been enough. The storyline was awful, i found myself bored the entire time watching this kdrama just wanting to give this a chance because i genuinly like the actors in this drama but i was practically clutching at straws to convice myself to keep watching.
The fact that all of these actors are incredible actors, and the storyline was so bad that it put their acting to shame. I've never seen Nam Joo-hyuk act so badly.

A Promising Start That Loses Its Spark
The music and visuals? Pretty solid — they definitely knew how to set the mood. Acting? Not bad, not great — just okay. Everyone showed up, remembered their lines, and looked serious when needed. Now, about the mystery… well, it started strong but slowly turned into a “guess-the-next-cliché” game. I found myself predicting twists before they even finished the dramatic zoom-ins. And let’s talk about that very original idea of a genius detective getting psychiatric sessions from the killer — wait a minute… hasn’t Hannibal already done that? Maybe the writers watched it on a weekend binge and thought, “Hey, let’s just do that.”
Still, it’s not unwatchable. If you’re out of good series and just want something to pass the time, this might do the trick. Just don’t expect to be blown away. Here’s hoping season two comes back with some fresh brains (pun intended) and plot twists that actually twist.

Sweet, funny, and surprisingly heartwarming!
I'm gonna be honest here: this drama is a cringe fest, and nothing about it should work but miraculously, it does! It's sweet, funny, and surprisingly heartwarming.Heads-up: Don’t go into this expecting a full-blown romance drama, because you will be disappointed. But also, it’s so much more than that! This story is really about personal growth and healing (although it really doesn't seem like one) and it's totally worth it.
It could have been almost perfect, but there were a few things that ruined it for me.
My main issues with it are:
1. There is no country or planet where the female lead would be considered fat. Not even South Korea. She’s healthy-looking, and honestly, she's on the skinny side!
2. This is one of those rare times when we needed extra episodes. Even just 14 would have been fine! The development of their relationship was so organic and perfect that I didn’t mind it taking 11 episodes to get there. The problem is we only got one episode of them being together, I feel robbed! Such a waste of amazing chemistry. They were so cute together, they could’ve been one of the greats!
All in all, this drama had no right being so cute and wholesome but it was!
It's such a great watch: light, fluffy, and sweet.

Good story, unforced, acting very good, director too. There is a story, an action unfolds…
What more can be said and not agree?
It asks me for 300 characters and everything is said in 150.
Everything else I would say is redundant. What has been said is enough!

Thought I Signed Up for Betrayal and War—Ended Up Screaming Over Sweetness!
Honestly, when I started Prisoner of Beauty, I thought I knew what I was getting into—arranged marriage, betrayal from the past, palace politics, and the usual game of survival. I was ready for all the backstabbing, but what I got instead? Sweetness, trust, and a love that slowly grows in the most chaotic environment. And I’m not okay. The main couple? Forced to marry because of an country. At first, they’re super reserved with each other—more like silent allies than lovers—but little by little, they start protecting each other, understanding each other, and eventually falling for each other in the softest way possible. I thought this would be all war and mind games, but it gave me emotional healing and mutual respect instead.
The male lead... wow. He’s this calm, strategic lord who’s soft with his wife but absolutely ruthless to the world. I swear, it’s like he has two modes—loving husband and dangerous warlord. And he owns both. Meanwhile, the female lead is like water—calm, composed, and so misunderstood. The whole kingdom kind of hates her at first because of her family's past, but she wins everyone over just by being her patient, kind self. Honestly, I’d root for her in any drama.
Now, the four generals deserve a shoutout. These guys aren’t just side characters—they’re sworn brothers to the male lead and totally badass on the battlefield. Their trust and loyalty? Solid. Their vibe? Legendary. I need a mini-series just for them.
Also loved the second lead couples they together they added another nice layer to the story. Let’s not forget Bai Zhi—our certified green flag™. That man has eyes only for his wife, and it’s adorable. Wai cousin was also a major help throughout—like an older brother who always shows up at the right time.
And I HAVE to mention one thing I didn’t expect at all: instead of focusing only on war and territory, the drama brings in this whole subplot about building dams to help the people. That made me respect the story even more. Actual good governance in a historical drama? We love to see it.
Now, onto the villain… sigh. I’ve never seen someone ruin their own life so badly and still blame everyone else. She was frustrating to watch, but in a way that made the story more dramatic (and honestly, kind of entertaining ).
Lastly—the OST and visuals? Gorgeous. The music fits every emotional scene perfectly, and the visuals pull you into the world without being too flashy. Just enough to make you feel like you’re there.
This drama surprised me in the best way. It’s emotional, character-driven, and just the right amount of twisty. If you’re into soft love stories with political backdrops, loyal friendships, and characters you’ll miss when it’s over—go for it.

Pure short-length comedy "Body swap (after kiss)" , fun and well-played story
PLOT: The FL, in love with the Shadow Master, has been engaged since childhood with the ML (Shadow incognito). This CL finds himself married, against his will, and discovers the body swap after kissing. But an evil sister and her mother are also at work to conquer the family heritage (bath businesses).+++ Great young actors: Wang Lu Qing as FL & Samuel Liu as ML, with natural chemistry and a lot of kisses :)
+++ Fast pace, good OSTs
### Like all short-length series, this is a low-budget production (few sets, few costumes) but overall well-executed.
### Lots of clichés and overly obvious twists, but the comedy tone overcomes these flaws.
=> Enjoyable series, carried by the talent of the young actors.

Where is season two?
I’ve just finished watching this in 2025.31 episodes at 10 minutes each and I was still bored for most of it.
Episode 16 to 18 was a complete mess. Why didn’t our female lead just tell our male lead that it was wheelchair boy who was the big bad villain when she was arrested? Instead, she just screamed that it was all a misunderstanding and she needed to explain.
The writing choices in the show were atrocious. I get it in low budget, but does that mean we can’t have a decent story?
The only good thing out of this was the male lead who definitely has something. I don’t know if it’s the X factor or stage presence but he was the only one I was convinced of that had some level of talent and acting skills.
I knew that by the time we got to episode 29 the ending was gonna be a disaster because there was way too much to be done to cover in 20 minutes of two episodes.
Turns out it was a set up for a second season, but I’m not surprised it hasn’t got one because it was total rubbish.

Sweet and illogical.
I have always been one of those who doesnt expect for a cast to be top notch if they have delivered once, or for a story to be told beautifully if its a remake. And I have been open to the light watches, i actually like it in between a life im barely surviving. But this series does not meet the minimum expectation you might have.I would say Fourth single handedly helped the show to survive and it surprises me how talented he is ; Though I dont know who confined Gemini so much that he didn't move. Boy looked like he was scared to even smile. I wouldn't complain about it all and yes it did make me go a little oozy boozy at times, but I dont feel anything of it.
Its just that. It begins in a class where they would focus on the same four or five people, where they would go through events that would make no sense.
I have completed the show and Im still not sure how Atom starts harbouring feelings for Kongthap, and how his feelings for Mudmee vanishes in a microsecond. More importantly, how ( and obviously why ) they decided to go on a walk to make confessions right after Kongthap gets bitten by a snake.
And do explain ( if you can ) what was the point for Khaopan and Kongthap's mutual friend to come and mess it up if Khaopan had to live alone all his life. (?)
The story is sweet but those little unnecessary additions added up to a show that slipped the track. Right when it gets back on, it slips through the confusion the characters make.
Not a pleasant watch, I wanted it to be.

Rebranding to sport sitcom with slice of life undertones and romance as a guest role.
I think it’s important to set something straight right away - this is not a romantic comedy. This is a full on comedy with a sports/health setting and the romance is more of a guest role in the story. The poster, trailer and genres are completely misleading. Does this make it a bad drama? No. But it for sure is not a good rom-com.Not what I think about it, the opening scene literally tells you all you need to know - the same way the gym with all the promotional material seemed like a club, when it was not. The same way this drama seemed like a rom-com, but it was not.
Yes, I did enjoy it. Even with over the top comedy and at times unhinged jokes, they were still able to deliver more often than once truly heartwarming messages. I truly appreciated how the message was more about loving yourself and striving for improvement because of that, rather than trying to meet a certain goal to start loving yourself. It had sitcom branding and a slice of life spirit and it weirdly worked.
That said - it’s simply not what I was expecting and it took away quite a lot of my enjoyment. And it;s not on me for having wrong expectations. It’s on the production team for misleading advertisements. If I crave ramen, but get an ice cream, it does not matter how good it is, it’s not what I wanted at that moment. They made me excited for a lighthearted romance, and they never delivered.
Since the romance was honestly so insignificant, I actually believe the drama would be better if they completely removed it. Lee Jun Young and Jung Eun Ji did not really have much chemistry and the constant break from the romantic vibes, to insert a punch line ruined it for me till the end. The show just lacked balance.
I did like both leads as individual characters. Seeing Do Hyeon Jung open up to others and start to understand different perspectives was fun. Lee Mi Ran slowly learning how to love herself was touching. Their partnership was great and I adored the whole gym community they formed. While I loved Roy (or do I just love Kim Kwon?), I did feel like he was out of place more often than not.
Production wise it was great. I am honestly surprised how many aesthetically pleasing scenes they were able to believe without dropping that silly comedic tone. And I already added some songs to my playlist. Some special effects were more on the miss and Lee Jun Young’s body simply looked uncanny in episode one, but in general there was nothing major to complain about.
Overall, I am annoyed at the marketing of the drama because whatever the picture the poster, genres and trailers paint has nothing to do with the reality of what the drama actually is. If they were more truthful to the content with their advertisement, I’d for sure enjoy it more.

Nah
While Chimon and Perth are both good actors, this series wasn't great. It felt rather forced and quick. It reminded me of a little bit of Bad Buddy because it was more of a bromance than a BL, despite all the kiss scenes.
In Dangerous Romance, some moments were so stupid or felt completely out of place. I tried to get excited again to continue this series, but I just couldn't. It is just not for me.

Kinda cringe! Became hilarious halfway through but the plot was all over the place. None of the characters were utilized to their full potential. Could've been so much more. But the thing that annoys me most is tge fact thst there was absolutely no romance until the very last episode and even then the actors toyally lacked chemistry. The only good thing about the entire drama was probably Sol and her friendship with Miran, albeit shortlived.
