Not your typical fantacy series

I usually am not a fan of fantacy series because of too many visual effects and unrealistic background sets, but this one was different. The visual effects were kept to a minimum required, and there was not too much of water and fire flying in the air and unrealistic colors and things like that :))
the story was interesting and the acting was very good too. The ending was satisfying for those who like triumph of good against evil type of stories.

It was beautiful

Love in the Clouds delivers a clean, high-performance romance experience without deploying the usual emotional downsizing. For once — no tragic best friend, no loyal aide dying for “dramatic effect,” no side-couple heartbreak KPI. Honestly, that alone makes the drama feel like a refreshing market disruptor in the xianxia sector.
The world-building is glossy, the chemistry is high-yield, and the pacing stays largely stakeholder-friendly. But let’s talk core assets:
Ji Bo Zai’s pet, Bu Xiu, and Ming Yi’s pet, Er Shi Qi.
These two are straight-up the breakout products of the series — adorable, hilarious, and delivering unmatched viewer engagement metrics. Every time they’re on screen, productivity spikes.
In short, this drama is a cloud-soft, visually premium, emotionally safe investment — and the pets? Absolute brand ambassadors.

I Tried One Episode for Fun and ended Up FINISHING THE WHOLE THING!?

I usually don't watch historic chinese dramas just cause the effects are sometimes so fake or there is too much history, BUT let me just say. OMG. This drama was worth every second of my time!? I saw an edit on tiktok and then decided to give it a chance, and watched one episode. Soon I was on the next episode, and so on, and then I finished it in 2 days!? It's so good!! I loved the acting, and the instrumental music. Truly a master piece. I suggest you all give it a chance, you deef won't regret it! The main leads had such good chemistry, and their eyes acted so well too. I love when an actors eyes says everything you need in scenes, and that's what this drama was like! LOVEEEEE!

Must say, Its my favourite drama in 2025. From enemy to lovers. Mischievous couple and their love language is care, hide & seek. Starting from facing each other in battle field. And end with same. But with different emotion. Frist meet was like, they don’t know each other and treat as a competitor. And last part, they love each other and treat as a soulmate in battle field but face to face.
ML Ji bozai and FL Ming xian/Ming yi, they and their love is extraordinary awesome. 💗💗

Amazing story

This is one of the best Cdramas I have watched this year. The story is so touching!!!!!! It did start out a little slow first few episodes but afterwards I was looking forward for the next 2 episodes to release every morning I wake up! The FML portrayed the character very well, I was in tears during all the emotional scenes!! The CGI and costumes were stunning. Music was very fitting as well. Overall 10/10!!

Absolutely beautiful series ?

I just can't be believe, like to me, each part of this series had the og content. No redundant, unwanted streching of the storyline, monotony, or more of a typical C-drama plot, which essentially kept me hooked till the last episode. Honestly every eps was worth the wait, and the ending is so well justified, unless you'd have fallen for 2nd ML who turned into his villian arc, whose character was actually not that significant otherwise. I'd rather feel sad for his admirer the lady of the fox clan, but somewhere she was saved from an obsessive red flag, coz I def not wanted to see her sacrifice her life for his goals.
I'm very satisfied with this ending. Earlier i thought when the Sima Jiao series was the best, but no cap, hands down, this is the best of this genre in 2025.

⭐️ 9/10 - I came for confusion, stayed for conviction.

Confession: I’m not a wuxia romance person. Usually, I lose patience the moment swords start flying and couples start breaking up for “noble reasons.” But Love in the Clouds? Somehow, this one got me.
Yes, it had the usual dose of senseless breakups (because what’s a wuxia without at least three tragic misunderstandings per episode?), but surprisingly, I was hooked. The story had just enough intrigue to keep me invested...and the chemistry between the leads was strong enough to slice through any plot fog.
The cast was fantastic, not a single weak link. Costumes? Impeccable. Acting? Stellar. Even the side characters felt like they had depth and purpose (and sometimes better lines than the main couple).
It’s the first wuxia romance I’ve ever finished and actually loved, which says a lot. So if you, too, are a skeptic of flowy robes, flying daggers, and star-crossed lovers... give this one a chance. You might end up floating right along with the clouds. ☁️

ps: So congrats, Love in the Clouds. You made a wuxia romance believer out of me. (Don’t expect me to watch another one soon though. I’m still emotionally recovering from all those breakups.) 😂☁️

♾️/10 definitely worth to watch!!

I love their chemistry. I love how they portray the characters! I love how they tried to protect each other and also those scene where they act as fake married couple at first then later on everything falls in the right place and at the right time. No wordss can explain how great the overall performance because I enjoyed waiting for every episodes and I even can't watch those last episodes because I don't want the story to end. But nevertheless, it's wprth rewatching!! Hoping for second collaboration!!! Modern drama for both of them pleaseee!! Will def. miss MingZai couple!!

Very beautiful CGI, no unnecessary character death, every goal of the character is fulfilled.

Ji Bozai - Hou Minghao did a good portrayal of a complex character like Ji Bozai. A character that doesnt trust anyone but really loved to. As Hou Minghao said, Ji Bozai is not really hard to please just needed to show your loyalty and trust towards him. A selfish and selfless character at the same time. He is ready to sacrifice himself for Hexu Six Realm. Even though he was imprisoned and deceived in the Sunken Abyss, his experience did not turned him into a bad person. Very empathetic towards everyone, he still chose to forgive those who did him wrong.

Ming Yi - Lu Yuxiao also acted well, I have watched her before in My Journey To You and she did not disappoint. Honestly I do understand why Ming Yi lied to Ji Bozai as Hou Minghao analyze her character, she is a proud warrior, revealing her identity to her nemesis would be a hard punch to her ego as a warrior. She is also selfless character, always wanting to help everyone even though she knows the consequences of her action.

Overall the two of them have insane chemistry, I just don't understand those people who said they don't have any, like are we watching the same show? Both of them have insane face card and high understanding to their characters so they are able to play their character so well. The story line is okay to me, not so complex to understand and the flow of story is bearable, even though kinda draggy sometimes especially when there are unnecessary screen time of some characters but over all 10/10 for me.

OMG GUYSSSS THE DRAMA IS FINISHED ?? “Love in the Clouds” completely took over my life!!

Honestly, I’m stunned it concluded. From beginning to end, the tale flowed beautifully - the speed, feelings, each character getting their due. Not simply a typical fantasy show, instead a heartfelt exploration concerning devotion, affection, also giving up things for others.

Neo Hou delivered a stunning performance. He moved between serene composure then devastating heartbreak without missing a beat - it felt completely real. His eyes conveyed everything. I was a fan of Lu Yuxiao after seeing her in Serendipity, however, her performance as Ming Yi truly won me over. She brought such poise alongside an understated power to the character. Each time pain crossed her face, yet a smile bloomed anyway, it struck me. Watching her become strong - a journey from innocence to grit - felt like witnessing art.

She’s got Master She – genuinely a sweet soul. He’s looked after Ming Yi forever, quietly keeping watch like a silent protector. That steadfast dedication just gets to me. Not flashy displays, merely consistent kindness alongside deep affection.

Honestly, the devotion from Mu Qibai’s guard(omg I forgot his name😭😭😭) felt unreal. He even gave his life to help Mu Qibai succeed - it shattered me. Though labeled villains, their commitment struck a chord - a poignant display of affection. It showed me how fondness blooms even where shadows gather, alongside steadfast allegiance.

Honestly, Twenty-Seven just got to me. A total sweetheart - so devoted, I felt connected instantly. When he gave everything up for Ming Yi? Devastating. Tears flowed freely. It went beyond service, past simply following orders - he felt like one of us.

Bu Xi alongside Twenty-Seven? Honestly, a delightful pair. The way they connected felt so natural – playful arguments, gentle teasing, looking out for one another. Each shared moment simply shone. I kept rewinding scenes; seeing them together genuinely lifted my spirits.

Meng Ya Qiu? Seriously funny. He stumbled through everything with a smile, offering much-needed levity. Like when he figured out - inside a jail cell - that his boss was actually Lord Hanfeng all along? Tears streamed down my face, yet I grinned. He possessed a naive quality; somehow, even bleak moments seemed brighter because of him - a contrast I cherished.

Honestly, Situ Ling just broke my heart. I really believed he’d turn things around - instead, he went completely off the rails like Chu Zhao in that drama, Legend of the Female General. It stung, yet somehow felt right for someone so stubbornly sad.

Yan Xiao alongside Tian Ji - they simply fit. It wasn’t a flashy romance, instead woven with quiet kindnesses, each willing to give everything for the other. Seeing how Tian Ji prioritized Yan Xiao felt genuinely lovely.

THIS WASSS SOOO GOOD GUYS SOLID 9.5/10
