One of the Best C-Drama of 2025 !

Acting was on pint. Chemistry was beautiful. Laughed, cried, and loved with these characters. LuYuXiao is my favorite female actress as of now. Hou Minghao is such a great actor, really a perfectionist at heart. This is a drama ill definitely be rewatching over and over again. Behind the scenes videos are just as great as the drama itself. The bind this cast shows is so wholesome and fun. Would love a variety show with this cast.

入青云 Love in The Clouds! Definetly Recommended

I loved every second of the series. Each character was amazing in their own way. It was my first time watching the female lead, and I really liked both her and her acting. But my favorite was the 27 二七 可爱的猫. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this show I definitely recommend it! 〈3

Do the ends justify the means?

I like this show. It’s a good Netflix show that has 36 episodes and approximately 45 minutes each. Ming Yi (ming xian) is the FL who loses the Qingyun tournament to the ML Ji Bozai after a seven year win streak. She was always been disguised as the crown Prince and because of our loss,This causes her to be abandoned by her people and she then wants to seek revenge against the ML because she believes he poisoned her.. she turns up in his realm as her original female self and it turns out he didn’t poison her, but it was her scheming brother who wanted the crown Prince title for himself. They eventually work together and become a really good team and I really enjoyed the chemistry between them even though the female lead was a bit infuriating at times and it doesn’t annoy me how the heroes are so passive when it comes to dealing with the villains and with their emotions and feelings. It took me quite a long time to get through this because I wasn’t compelled to binge watch one episode after another so I ended up watching a few going to another drama and then coming back.. the one thing that really did bother me was the MLS master Bo Yulan who incidentally was the FL’s Auntie. The main problem I have is no matter how righteous , kind and decent she was she ultimately nearly killed a baby. She then abandoned this baby into the pits of hell (our ML) and then took him as her apprentice to help him. They reconciled all this quite neatly but ultimately the story framed her as one of the good guys when actually she was the scummiest of scumbags going because of that act of horrendous abuse and neglect. The reason I mentioned this is because the writers clearly wanted us to sympathise with her and always played soft sad music to show the struggle that she’s been through but I’m sorry I find her behaviour absolutely disgusting so the ends do not justify the means at all. The way the story framed it was poor in my opinion and shows a lack of basic human decency to paint her as being so virtuous yet flawed.

REVIEW??? MORE LIKE MY FEELINGS!!!

I’ve been waiting for this drama ever since I first saw Lu Yu xiao’s stills from the filming site. Honestly, I’ve never crazily anticipated a drama like this before, not even "Lovely Runner" (which is still my #1 favorite). But this one definitely made it to my top list, even surpassing, "Burning Flames", and now holds the first spot among my favorite CDramas!

After waiting so long, when it finally started airing, the first few episodes felt good but nothing too extraordinary. But as the story progressed, especially from episodes 9 and 10, I completely fell in love with it. From then on, the first thing I did after returning to the hostel from classes was watch the new episode 😂 and then dive into MDL and Twitter comments and theories 😭. I truly enjoyed the whole, Love in the Clouds era!

I could only make a few edits because of my busy schedule ( I have a drama fanpage in Instagram : id : kworld_haengbog) . I really wish this drama had aired when I was free, I would’ve made sooo many edits and enjoyed it even more. Anyway, I swear I’ll rewatch it and make plenty of edits once I get some free time (hopefully soon)!

And as for my beloved MingZai ❤️‍🩹 (Hou Minghao and Lu Yu xiao), what a magical pair! If I exaggerate a little, I’d say they had the best chemistry of the century 😁. It might sound over the top to some, but that’s how it feels to me.

I’d absolutely love it if you all watched this drama too.

For me, it’s a MASTERPIECE! ❤️❤️❤️

Visually Stunning But That's It

This is one of those dramas I really wanted to love. I went into it with high expectations especially with the cast, the visuals, the fantasy setting, everything screamed potential but honestly, I came out feeling pretty underwhelmed. I know a lot of people are absolutely obsessed with this one, so don’t come for me, but it just didn’t hit the way I hoped it would. I wanted to like it so badly, but overall, I just wasn’t convinced by the chemistry between the leads. Hou Minghao and Lu Yuxiao looked great together on screen, sure, but emotionally? It felt flat. Something about their dynamic just didn’t click for me.

I actually managed to finish the drama though I’ll admit, I was skipping through most of the last 10, 15 episodes because by that point, it just started to drag. The constant back-and-forth, the endless miscommunication (or really, lack of communication) between the two leads drove me insane. Like, what do you mean she had so many chances to just tell him the truth and didn’t? I get that secrets and misunderstandings are staples in these kinds of love stories, but here it just made everything feel unnecessarily frustrating. Their relationship was meant to come off as playful, cute, and maybe even a little flirty, but to me, it all felt kind of forced even when they finally got together officially, the spark just wasn’t there.

As for the supporting characters… honestly, I couldn’t have cared less. None of them stood out or added anything meaningful to the plot. It felt like they were just there to fill space or stretch out the runtime. Hou Minghao did okay. He had his moments and definitely looked the part of a charming fantasy male lead, but his performance didn’t really mesmerize me. He’s undeniably handsome though, I’ll give him that. Lu Yuxiao’s acting was fine, but compared to what she delivered in MJTY, this was a step down. Ever since MJTY, I’ve been waiting to be wowed by her again, but so far her newer projects haven’t really done it for me, which is a shame, because she was so good then and I genuinely wanted to root for her.

If there’s one thing I can’t complain about, it’s the visuals. The CGI was stunning, absolutely beautiful, from the fight scenes to the ethereal costumes/settings. The production team clearly put a lot of love into the look and feel of the world, and visually it’s a treat. But that’s just it. It’s all look, no depth. Love in the Clouds ended up being one of those dramas that’s gorgeous to watch but kind of empty once you look past the surface. I don’t regret watching it, but it’s definitely not one I’ll be revisiting anytime soon.

Crazy in Love

I started watching this on Netflix when it only had a few episodes. Big mistake. I should have waited! The waiting game for new episodes was really hard. I’m a fan of the FL since watching her in My Journey to You drama when she was paired with my fave Cheng Lei. I had never paid attention to Hou Ming Hao before. I did watch him in the Lost Tomb but his acting there didn’t really caught my attention. Now, after watching this drama, I can say I’m officially a fan. He was so good here. Everyone was right when they said that he was way better here than his Back from the Brink drama where his acting was a little wooden. The FL Ming Yi was really cute and I love how she slowly fell for Ji Bozai. At first, I didn’t like how she was using Ji Bozai to get to the Golden Millet Dream, but then again Ji Bozai was the same who was also using her. But I’m glad they didn’t hurt each other. I hate toxic couples in other dramas who hurt each other. It makes my heart ache when they do that. Anyway, they formed a bond along the way. I love the fake relationship they had and it slowly blossomed. I love it when they save each other and are completely in sync and just know what to do in certain moments. And the kisses while they were at the pool? *chef’s kiss* So hot. I was like OMG, my heart, be still. There was also another scene at the beginning of episode 23 where he said, “Say my name” while making out by the bedroom door. I melted into a puddle of goo. I just love them together. That scene where they walked the magpie bridge to carve their names on the marriage stone to prove their identities and their love. From there, they now share a heart imprint. The way Ji Bozai took all the lightning hits and he was so persistent when he kept carving Ming Yi’s name. The dedication he had at that moment even though he knew deep down her name wasn’t really Ming Yi. So many hot moments. Episode 25 was my most favorite scene because I was smiling and giggling like crazy. He suspects that she is the real Ming Xian. She pointed the sword artifact she forged and pointed it at his throat. He pulled her towards him and kissed her. After that he asked her if Ming Xian was still in the way. He’s jealous of the person who’s actually in front of him. But of course he doesn’t know that. Never a dull moment in this drama. I would go on and on about how I love this drama so much but it’s not enough space, to be honest. I enjoyed and loved the whole drama. The setting, the CGI, the costumes, the acting skills, and the music were all so well done. Great job to the whole crew! Thank you for giving us a perfect happy ending. I highly recommend this drama and has a special place in my heart. This is my number one on my top list of Chinese fantasy dramas.

Not very profound stories, but still so engaging and heartwarming.

Just saw the works of the two screenwriters and I’ve liked them all… no surprise this one is at the same level, or even better. It’s really a story written by two women… you can tell Ji Bozai is just…perfect? Kkk
Great show! It’s not gonna change the chemistry of your brain, and you can tell they made cuts in some plots (especially the side characters) but it was well made, you get closure for all of the storylines… is absolutely well delivered!

The chemistry!!

I’ve watched many cdramas and for some reason Hou Minghao and Lu Yuxiao’s chemistry is the best. It feels the most natural compared to other leads. It almost as if they are so immersed or they also have a thing irl. Overall the plot was definitely really nice and wish it had some missing pieces but the plot honestly made it watchable due to the leads.

Romantic comedy, action and twisted plot

All characters well played, foremost ML and FL have a great chemistry, mesmerizing look.
ML (Ji Bozai) has a great facial expression; he can express all feelings and connections without speech, just through his eyes.
I think the director succeeded in selecting all players for both main roles and supporting roles. The makeup artists have a great job; all of them are beautiful.
Plot: Until episode 30, this series has a smooth plot, but after that, it's too rushed as if it should end at episode 36. I hate it was ends.
Hopefully, there will be another drama for this couple. So Love it !!!

a great show that can hold its ambition!!

I was not expecting this show to become one of my favourite cdramas!!

the opening fighting scene and the overly flirtatious pilot made me almost drop this show because i was 't sure where it was going... but So glad I continued... quickly, we realize the plot is so engaging and the characters feel genuine.

While it has the usual tropes about identities, the evolution of the leads was a satisfying watch!
Not only is the storyline and twists well done, a lot of surprises along the way, but the pace is also flawless!

the title of my review says it was an ambitious show: I feel the production was ambitious in creating the story of two very strong leads, ming yi and ji bozai, and they didn't fail.
From the ost, to the chemistry, to the support cast, the cgi... all well done!

I think it's important to mention that for strong main leads, dramas often fail them in creating arcs or a few seasons where they act out of character and suddenly they are dum, or frustrating just for the plot... This show had the plot AND character development. ( for ming yi there are even more nuances)

Love in the Clouds — A Drama That Soars Above the Rest

From the very first episode, the chemistry between HMH and LYX was electric, and the world-building in Love in the Clouds was exceptionally well done. The story’s setting feels vivid and immersive, drawing viewers into a world where emotion and atmosphere blend seamlessly.

This is exactly how a drama should be: where the female lead isn’t naïve or dependent, but stands as an equal — if not stronger — counterpart to the male lead. Their connection and mutual understanding are truly remarkable. Despite coming from completely different backgrounds, their thoughts, values, and emotions align naturally, creating a relationship that feels real and deeply rooted.

Too often, dramas insert romance simply because it’s expected, without giving it meaning or growth. Love in the Clouds avoids that trap beautifully — its romance evolves organically, shaped by empathy, respect, and emotional maturity.

Adding to its brilliance is the attention to detail across every element of production — from the elegant costume design and striking visual effects to the cinematography that captures both grandeur and intimacy. The entire cast works in perfect harmony, enhancing every scene and making the story come alive.

⭐ 10/10 — Love in the Clouds stands out as one of 2025’s finest dramas, a masterclass in storytelling, performance, and emotional depth.

Cliff hangers every episode!

I’m only 12 episodes in and this is probably one of my favorite dramas of 2025! Watching this while its airing is a damn struggle. The plot is so thrilling that you wouldn’t want to stop watching. The visuals are insane too. The ML and FL look great together, even the 2nd leads are so cute together as well. There are so many eye candies. I’m not too fond of historical fantasies as they sometimes look way too dramatized—but this drama makes the visual effects very interesting. I wonder what can beat this?
