On the bright side WeTv will be releasing a Hongyi drama. If we are very lucky and that one does well maybe they'll release HS sooner.
I'll be waiting for the final trailer to judge though.
Yeap, I get it. It's a pity. I hope this one is good and we get to see other series and movies in the future that are well adapted.
You're welcome and thank you too! Have a beautiful day.
However, theoretically this is still an adaptation no matter what they change, cause the movie has probably taken the core of the manga and adapted it accordingly. And of course they "bought" the rights to adapt it.
What you mention is something that unfortunately happens every time anything is adapted from any source material. Cdramas are the prime example. Even when some of them have tons of eps it is still impossible to have everything accurately portrayed on screen when the source material is 4k pages or sth (plus censorship is not helping).
For this one, the trailer alone is fantastic. Well directed, acted and has some great music. I'm not sure if it will be accurate, but at least it looks good and will definitely make people read the source material which us a good thing.
About film adaptations from Mangas it's understandable. Some may be good but most aren't and it's not just the script thing. There are quite a lot out there that have terrible productions. I think it is vital for the creators to choose stories that can be adapted somehow. Plus a good scriptwriter can do justice to a source material. Of course they will also have to cut things, but at least the final result will be good.
MJTY and FoF had amazing OSTs and I can't wait to see the OST for VoS π
The regular ones are fine but the CC ones are basically the dubbed version of the drama. If you watch that scene with English dub you'll see the subs are coresponding 100% that's why they suck.
Are you from the US? I think that there some shows only have the English [CC] which generally is different that the English subs and there are a lot of instances like the one you mention . For those yes, it appears for me like you said, but the English subs (without CC) are fine.
Edit: you're watching the subs from the dubbed version of the drama, that's why they suck. It's not the translator's fault. If you watch it dubbed, you'll see she says the words in the subs.
