Apparently the account that had that name pfp was fake and popped up a day before actual announcement. People found out when it started posting some other celebrity - it just wanted a quick way to make followers. The name doesn't make sense either because there's no sea majorly in the plot.

I think it might also have the elements mentioned in the mdl synopsis because it's an official (?) youku one.

I have seen these kinds of comments from pressed stans of ugly actors on weibo/douyin. First pretending that he's famous only for his looks>> then acting like his looks are "manufactured" >> then also shaming his looks. Trying to demean him from all sides, basically a pressed anti. They can cry more I guess. 😜

Also if I didn't like someone's acting, I would just close the drama and watch something else. I wouldn't look up that person's predebut pics (where he looks pretty much the same just with extra weight) and come to his profile to comment about it. 🚽

Yeah, I also think it's going to be a standalone story with slight references. Something like, say, Joaquin Phoenix's Joker (for the lack of a better example lol) which has passing references to Batman lore but mostly is an original story.

I have heard ML2 surname is a title not a real name. Let's not argue amongst ourselves until we see the drama because tbh this argument is moot until the actual drama is here. I am not a reader of this series but I do think there will be influences and references to the lore whether the author is involved or not. No way for any of us to know any of it for sure tho.

I am feeling this one is going to be a great drama. Also someone should change the synopsis because the one floating around (which I also read on douban) is quite different.
