Totally agree... It's fantastic, almost flawless. I can only think of one criticism and that is the look of the…
It's one of the twins of Ragaz and Ah Sa Hon (who became a couple after the Neanderthal genocide during which they managed to save a couple of Neanderthal children). Ragaz was killed by Tagon and his people but Tagon saved the baby. Ah Sa Hon was left in the tent with the other baby.
I personally would have chosen a different FL altogether. She irritated me to death in the first part, but I liked the story and the other characters so I stuck with it.
Yes very much, even Edward Zang (Helian) is also in it... also waiting for Night Wanderer
Love and Destiny is in my top 3 Xianxias. The main leads evolve a lot and the story arcs are fantastic, there are basically 3 parts like the other great xianxias like Eternal Love (10 Miles of Peach Blossom) or Ancient Love Poetry. It's obvs a very different genre from Rise of the Phoenixes... The acting style and the vibe is very different. But L&D becomes very intense later on.
Just finished. Beautiful, wonderful drama!!! Watch it! It's worth it! I hope one day the people of North and South Korea will come together and like West Germany and the DDR, will tear down the wall that separates them and become one people again.
Ikr. He shouldn’t have been reborn at all. It’s understandable that Sang-Un can be reborn, but Hwal?! Seriously,…
The monsters were also reborn though. I think the message is you will get several chances to get it right. Hwal ultimately realised all his suffering was all of his own creation in his past life and sacrificed himself for the wellbeing of others to free everyone from the curses he made.... He learned love and compassion and forgiveness, kindness and generosity. He saved a lot of people from monsters, first as a human and then as a Bulgasal. He never drank human blood until the end and it wasn't for himself but for others. He saw past his revenge and became aware of the cycle of karma. A monster that can cultivate compassion will be rewarded with a human soul in their next life. Seems fair enough to me!
can someone please explain to me how hwal reborn in the last episode since a bulgasal has no soul? all the drama…
Karma and personal growth! I think the clue is in the final episode. When 1000 years ago Sang-Un touched the baby's finger, her eyes changed, she also wept tears. Hwal's eyes changed in the end, and he wept and sacrificed himself for the wellbeing of others. Both wished to be human and no longer be monsters. Both actively lived as humans and made great efforts to not follow their monster nature. So they evolved in a manner of speaking....! Hwal was punished and ended up suffering terribly from the curses he had created himself. Retribution...
Also, look at the other monsters, they also reincarnated as humans, the difference is that they didn't evolve, so they maintained their monstrous "soul/character" and just repeated their sins so they met the same end.
