This was a joyful ride, again shocked it's based of a real story.
Yeah! Have you watched The King's Woman (it's a bit more wuxia than this drama, but still good!)? It's based on the younger generation! (The son of the main characters in this drama, who became the first emperor of China and is responsible for the Great Wall and terracotta soldiers etc!)

So funny, that Bai girl in episode 29 is mocking the Marchioness for hitting on a "young, handsome man" aka Nie Yuan/Lu Buwei. But both actors are the same age! Surely pushing it a bit to describe Nie Yuan as young? 🤣

If only there were more really high quality C dramas... You have to wade through trash to find the real gems. And often the real masterpieces have lower ratings than the trash! This I will never understand... Have you found any good new ones recently? I've rewatched my favourites too many times...

I was wincing from a practical point of view. She's crying all over the precious painting!
Also she kept waving her hands around... And putting them on the canvas. Any painter will wince at that... That's a spill or smudge mark waiting to happen, if the tears don't smudge the ink first!
