In my opinion, this rating should be 8.4-8.6. 8.0 is way too low for such a high quality drama... When low quality dramas get much higher ratings. Sad.

I think the whole Tianqi white hair thing was also because Hou Chi's immortal root had been cut by Wuhuan's attack during the wedding, and she was dying. If she had died physically (not just her spirit per se) perhaps she wouldn't have been able to come back as Shanggu...

The rest of the drama is ok so far with interesting plots and schemes, but she is just too much of a little girl. Yeah she can fight, and she's righteous and determined, but geez... All the other characters mock her, manipulate her and laugh at her for being so dumb... Hard to respect a character like this.
When will China bring back FLs that aren't coquettish little girls with pretty faces but no substance? Qiu Yanzhi is infinitely more interesting as a character by comparison!
Fortunately, the rest of the cast make the drama watchable...

Very enjoyable watch. No idea why it received so much hate.I must say the music sort of carries the drama.
Some sabotage from some other company maybe... The FL received a lot of hate online that she wasn't pretty enough etc, the whole thing was so childish...

I think my only point was that there were plenty of misunderstandings caused by secrets that resulted in some tragic events. Anyway, doesn't matter..! :-D Because these kinds of things are the building blocks of stories... Twists and turns! :-)

Don't worry, it is intentional in order to put you in the shoes of Hou Chi. I also was like wtf just happened, I'm confused... The second arc is all about unravelling the mysteries and clearing up confusions. Just go with it... All will become clear.

Yeah, but if he had told her the truth about him and Boxuan, she might have made different choices... She also hid her pregnancy from him. Sure the intentions were good, but it still led to misunderstandings that resulted in a series of painful events, including Hou Chi's "death"...
