No wonder people overlook that masterpiece, not only it doesn't have any famous handsome male leads, but they also don't see the actual plot and depth in the synospis... Notice how Be Melo reviews are all good....

Maybe you're the one who needs to actually watch Be Melodramatic before you make wild claims over a drama you clearly made wrongful snap judgements over. The difference is that one has more female cast and different writer. The base plot is literary the same lol. Which is a good thing, this drama is likely to be very good too, not only because reliable writer but the combo of Healing + Entertainment industry works well.
Based on trailer for this one too, they are very similar in a good way.

This is some of the best advice I've ever seen in a kdrama.. Seriously. It's understandable that she didn't have the option to study when younger due to her poor orphan background. But now that she has a whole family as support, who stopped treating her like a maid too and stopped taking her for granted. There's no reason to not simply CHANGE THE THINGS THAT BOTHERED ONE DEEP DOWN.
Staying complaining forever vs taking positive action. I'm so happy the drama introduced this plot development. Not only it's good for stepmom, but I think this is a good message to send viewers too.
I love how they're all so BAD at keeping a secret lol, it makes it more fun that they keep saying "Let's keep X thing secret" yet every time someone else finds out the secret 1 ep later lol

What a brilliant ep 11-12! Raised my raiting now into 9/10 because of these two eps.
Who knew that ML's f ather would end up desperate for the other family to stay (even plottlng behind his wife's back to sabotage the move LMAO), after trying too hard to kick them out..That Ultra-pathetic SLAVE CONTRACT LMAO The Bromance/Frenemies relationship between the two fathers is like the MAIN COUPLE of the show LMAO. REALLY looking forward to their Tv show lol.
Also the way they progressed both leads now and the uncle/auntie who got cheated on.... I expected a hug between leads only and near kiss only between uncle and auntie, it's the slow tease that USUALLY happens, but here they both just WENT FOR IT LOL and preview shows uncle and auntyie reeeaaaly went for it LOL Also giving auntie her own Store, is such a nice comfort and empowerment for her after her awful marriage ending!
The overall pacing of the drama is so amazing, every damn time you think something is going to get dragged, it gets resolved already within 1-3 eps!

I felt bad for having to drop a Queen Shin Min Ah kdrama, but this drama was just so damn lowkey and boring. NOTHING much was happening in the plot WTF, and even the leads' relationship was leaning a bit on the toxic side....
I think Welcome to Samdarli and Will Love In Spring are much better Small Town romance dramas, which managed to keep things actually interesting....

Which is a common problem though, not just a you problem.
Lot of the times whenever a kdrama has good or bad acting.. people hype or blame the actors only lol. Often forgotting the people behind the scenes, director and writing being behind alot of it. 😅

I understand that maybe Robotics isn't interesting to everyone,
but I personally like tech, IT and science etc.
Also the plot is refreshing due to Robotics rarely covered in kdrama and fresh even for the director who usually focuses on just moving on, complex relationships, cheating and more PAST ordination...This is more looking toward the future , characters starting over, Innovative Tech etc.
But I can see how it can alienate viewers not into the tech part 😅.
But I personally think it will be interesting to see the Tech in combo with realistic romance.
Personally I'm a bit worried about the cast, but also the director is soo damn talented so he can elevate even the less good cast...
ALSO, did you know the Ahn Pan Seok was originally set to comeback witha . massively boring Typical 1st Love Reunion romance??? Absolutely NOTHING about that Kdrama sounded interesting, not even 1% lol. Luckily both the director and talented lead both dropped that kdrama lol

Romance adds the positive fluff, while the family sides add more depth.

Go watch One Spring Night instead if you haven't already, a much superior Han Ji Min kdrama.
But not like THIS ML, who was written in UNREALISTIC shallow green flag way with no flaws.
I gave this kdrama only 6.5 for a reason...
I didn't find the leads truly opned up to each other because of it. FL only saw ML good side.
What's going to happen longterm in their relationship where actual big problems pop up, and he can't keep up the PERFORMANCE OF PERFECTION any more? .
