This reeks of product placements and ads for the s.x industry. I think ML actor is very talented so I wonder if…
I generally like your comments, but you tend to be bit of a prude nun sometimes lol.
And I'm saying this as someone on the Asexual spectrum.
Yes koreans don't just go with the whole western over the top sex everwhere in TV and films, WHICH IS LOVELY.
.....But truthfully I think a Healthy relationship to sex is somewhere BETWEEN the korean and the western way: Both are two EXTREMES from opposite ends.
On one hand, there's sex put EVERYWHERE in western tv (excepct in the Scifi and Detective Tv series, I love those for their more subtle approach to romance🥰 and general avoidance of sex, unless it ACTUALLY serves the plot, for example a murder mystery around lovers. Other genres have sex scenes for absolutely NO reason everywhere 🤮).
....But then when abit more spice could suit a kdrama, they refuse to go there. And I'm not talking over the top soft porn things. They legit forget sometimes to give them even proper skinships and kiss scenes and all they do for many eps is hold hands, as if they are children and not proper adults.... Once again, Just proper kissing will do, no need for anything remotely resemling soft porn lol. Actually I remember some interviews of actors in western tv, they said they felt so unfuncomfortable doing their more intimate sex scenes with costars, ever since reading that I feel discomfort too at actors having to go THAT far...
When it comes to THIS DRAMA and the Sexuality here .. IT DEPENDS! It CAN be done tastefully. If they just makes silly sex jokes every 5 minutes it will be look low IQ and trite.😬 ....On the other hand, if they actually talk about it in a societal point of view, social dilemmas while being semi-scandalous in a funny way etc. ...It would be fun and deep at the same time and could spark interesting societal debates.
....I'm just remembering that we're SOON getting the casting news for the Next 50 ep Weekender to air AFTER THIS…
Yoon Shi Yoon? Seo Hyun Jin? Kim Jae Wook? Lim Soo Jung? Joo Won? Yang Se Jong? Chun Woo Hee? Jung So Min? Bo Na? Kim Min Gue? Wi Ha Joon? Lee Sang Yi? Kim Se Jeong and Kang Tae Oh modern rom reunion?
Do we have a relationship chart? The FL family seems huge!
We neeed one !!
Btw though:
The last 50 ep Weekender (Recipe For Love) totally left out a whole 4 Couples from the Relationship chart! : https://kisskh.at/photos/PxmODL_3
....Totally SMART, it avoided Spoilers! 2 of the Cutest couples didn't get spoiled in advance! It was very Thrilling to watch it happen, without knowing in advance!
....So we can't really trust relationship charts, they might avoid spoilers, and not mention all lovelines 😚 lol
....STILL, I want one. So we can see a few couples spoiled, even if possibly not all...
Yes and no. Teleonovela yes but maybe not as dramatic. At least not nowdays they've morphed into more like Melodrama-Comedy (or maybe some even full on Dramedy and not much melo) and not just melodrama.
I'll just copypaste my previous comment here too:
They're like Telenovelas, but maybe slightly less drama depending on genre and more family focused. I definitely think they've improved over the years too. Less sexism and women allowed to be strong and working fun jobs, in past dramas women where just at home gossiping all day lol; and less over the top dramatic but more like super sweet and wholesome mixed in with only SOME drama these days. Also they used to rely alot of annoying misunderstanding plot that went on for half the drama lol. Nowadays they found a better way to tell these longer ones without misunderstandings going overboard. They made them more entertaining with better writiting, and keeping a better balance with only some necessary drama.
Morever the screenwriter of this kdrama is really reliable one, she wrote several of my favourite kdramas. So I'm really curious how she'll write a longer kdrama.
I had to look up who the director is, cause they're doing such a good job.
I mean these details (that I've seen so far, now up to watching ep4): -ep1 Starting with people in the Hyperbole rain going to work, done a surrealistic way. Ending with ML flying away with FL. - this flying away repeated in both OST lyrics and in the animated intro where FL and ML flying away - random quirky fox on ML's shoulder for absolutely no actual reason (other than both actors both born in a year of the fox 🦊🦊) lol - FL ep4 (who is grateful she's doing a presentation, will distract her from final breakup with the ex): "Thanks work for letting me drown my sadness with pain!" ...This same quote appearing on random Paste It Note next to the bus stop she's saying this aloud at, then the Paste It Note flying mid air next to FL and shown ontop of a work bulding.
....It's the LITTLE DETAILS this director added. They got the heart for a fun random whimsy, which elevates the drama.
Looks like they're a new Director too. I'm surprised by that, they are so great. I'm looking forward to any future works by them.

It's their tradition at this point.
Since they (KBS) usually announce the next one around the time the current one begins airing.
Sooooo curious about plot and cast,
the last 4 had such fantastic casting, including this one!
There are currently several korean actors who are way too passive, hopefully some of them can get cast !
Waiting for the announcement!
Another # MUST SKIP kdrama...
But yeah, their country gaining bad rep for being the career resurrection place of criminals...

Imagine All THAT in just 12-16 ep lol.
They're like 5 couples who each gets a normal 12 eps kdrama Each, and not 5 couples getting only 2 eps each lol..
So very likely same Netflix staff behind some of their american or western shows.....
this clown trying to return after only after a year.....
Anyway good luck competing with all those younger newer popular actors for good roles lol, this guy is nearly 40 years old....
PDs will continue to choose younger actors for most projects like they've usually done or for older actors pick less risky to cast actors...
