1 Hour into ep1: I see the marriage & dating market for women in korea is trash. 1-2 just ok guys so far, the rest of them are all red flags (thus why all the women rejected them/barely any votes, some even got 0 lol) . Some of these men got some votes by blind women who lack standards and just impressed by a silly dance number etc.🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
1 guy needs women to be tall yet super skinny as the the Most Important Thing for mentioned lol. One demanded women take care of him like his mom lol. The other asked the fat woman to loose weight for him .... 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ (why pick her in the 1st place if bothered by her weight 🤦🏻♀️)
This is a depressing watch as a woman lol
If the korean men all like this, korea's birth rate will remain low lol
....I think korean women should just give up and marry foreigners (well except not the french guy here lol).😅😅
i thought of watching this drama, but it's below 7.3. why is it bad?no problem with spoilers.
It's a solid 7.5 or 8.0 /10 imo (depending on how these last 2 eps go), which would make it an Average Romcom.
The lead pairing is SUPER CUTE, they basically carry the drama, despite weak average writing and super bad directing.
The problem here is how the writing has focused too much on SIDE stories, love triangle, Sister-in-law less on the LEADS and their relationship; there was BARELY any Navigating the pregnancy, preparing to become parents, marriage, domestic life.....
Good points are in how their relationship was built up and trauma handled in realistic way and their scenes with rheir parents. That group theraphy session was a great scene too. .....But why such little focus and leads and romamce in ROAMNCE kdrama?!? Drama was Mostly just Family + Business genre, with only SLIGHT ROMANCE. Barely a proper romance drama...
Also how can they write and direct the leads so sloppily.....
...I'm saying it had real potential to be a 9-10/10 even, but after ep2 the writing really lowered it into average territory.
Is AVERAGE actually "BAD"?? NOT AT ALL.
However, I want GOOD, GREAT kdramas, not just average.
Especially since he way the leads where both written and directed in such odd stiff and childish manner, that hid their acting skill, clearly visible in their OTHER kdramas... It's hard to not get annoyed when they got criticism for "Bad acting", which was 99% poor script and directing.
Watch OYS Mad For Each Other with critically acclaimed script and see her shine and her super funny role in Come Back Mister. Or CJH's Devilish Joy or The Last Empress or Zombie Detective or Tunnel where he is allowed to be warm & charismatic and not written as an unemotional robot.... Then you'll maybe notice how the writing & ESPECIALLY THE DIRECTING is FAR superior in all those kdramas, whereas in this kdrama...their acting got surpressed oddly by Writer & Director....

They wrote it with the pacing of 16 ep, and and now will rush the ending 🤦🏻♀️
...The So Hae Won writer must be a veteran flop writer from the 2010s writing under a pen name to hide their flop history, because that is exactly how they wrote, unable to adapt to the new expectations audiences have these days...
True rookie writers don't write like this at all, and tend to be more bold, more creative and not fall into cliches....
Ah! We're reaching almost a year now since K ent has been KSH-free! 😍 HOW GREAT IT'S BEEN!
And let's be honest here: He's shown himself to be extremely REPLACEABLE:
If you look at a combo of His CUTE INNOCENT guy image (all fake for him) + roles KSH' usually does and WHICH GUYS DID THOSE type of roles THIS PAST YEAR +upcoming ones,
the KSH replacements are ALL MUCH BETTER ACTORS!:
Byeon Woo Seok (basically #1 replacement, I think he's righfully scoring all the good roles with his popularity) Park Bo Gum Kim Seon Ho Hwang In Yeop Na In Woo Yang Se Jong Ahn Yeo Seop Choo Young Woo
I'll take Byeon Woo Seok and Park Bo Gum any day over this guy. 🤷🏻♀️
At this point, the only good things about this drama are CJH, OYS (who both have been written and directed oddly to look stiff and childish), Episode1, only 10% of the plot in ep 2-10 and OST #1 😥🤦♀️
.....I hope they comeback soon with much better projects with an actually competent Director+Writer team. They're so above.... whatever this drama escalated into.....
I honestly don't understand what two veteran actors were thinking, accepting this low quality script.....
I think he is great in his role, but she has to act childish because of the scriptwriter. She is around 30 here…
Even when the character is 10 years younger than the actress.... A 30 year old does NOT behave like a teen but is also an adult.
Female lead is written in such an awful way, I feel really bad for OYS getting hates for "bad acting" when the character writing is trash and written like innocent teen...
Started to unexpectedly somewhat look forward to this despite boring sounding plot, because Positively Yours was so badly written, and especially directed and edited (someone please BAN that director from the industry! 😠) that any new Office Romance kdrama now sounds like a masterpiece in comparison! 😅
I understand you frustration - I feel the same. they confessed to each other, but she is calling him President…
I understand why you'd think that, but CJH accidentally slipped in presscon that he "really liked it" (kissing her in ep1).... OYS: the kiss got more intense than planned. CJH: I really liked it.
IF there's a jealous partner they'd stop ep1 kiss, he wouldn't enjoy kissing or say it aloud lol and he would not bring his friends on set to meet his costar like he did in a set visit video (korean culture doesn't allow professional work and private friends blending between different sex coworkers unless close) (boundaries ON screen yet parter allows unusual closeness OFF screen which should bring even more jealousy?.. makes no sense).
I lean more toward director incompetence and conservatism/uncomfortable with skinship and kiss...
I understand after the Seo Yeji and Kim JunHyun Ruining Time (2018) kdrama scandal why anyone would think that 😅. But in that case the lead actor also kept OFF screen boundaries up high (i watched that drama live and was confused) to the point of rudeness.... Time drama had a very talented competent director, so no alternative explanations....PY has....The hack who also made that flop When The Stars Gossip lol

But also what's the even bigger problem is too many kdramas (whether webtoon adaptions or not) written by such Mediocre at best screenwriters!
They need to start giving a f*** about Script QUALITY way more in the Industry before they begin filming the kdrama in the 1st place..
It doens't matter if cast is good, overall idea is good , production is good...NONE of that matters if script is Trash...
Because 5 eps in and I find it quite boring....Even while watching the most boring scenes with 2x speed...
Or maybe the drama is just too Lowkey slice of lifey for my tastes....
.It's rarely the woam. who is the CEO, will definitely wtach this then.
Might still watch for Plot though.
Karma already started. 🔥

I just watched it for SHS' s great acting.
because Positively Yours was so badly written, and especially directed and edited (someone please BAN that director from the industry! 😠) that any new Office Romance kdrama now sounds like a masterpiece in comparison! 😅
Plus it's Shin Hae Sun in ROMANCE kdrama! 😍
Kim Jin Seong
