UPDATE: I still think this non-linear storytelling doesn't work well for a 20-episode drama. Many characters were left underdeveloped, their back stories felt like unimportant side stories. I wish they'd cover the core story sufficiently here... So I'm not really looking forward for the 2nd Season. >>>>
You NAILED IT. This EXACTLY the biggest problem with this Kdrama.
I was surprised soooooo many people liked such a Shallow undeveloped story, with chaotic annoying storytelling style! 😅
Didn't like s1. Beside awfully unstructured storytelling style filled with flashback after flashback... The drama tried to be TOO MANY THINGS at once, and thus failed at All of them: It's not enough of a legit superhero show because its focus was off and not enough on gaining, leveling up super cool powers in cool ways, not enough romance for the romance to feel meaningul or even needed for the plot, not enough family warmth scenes to be meaningful as a family drama.... The setting changed froms school to adults to not satisfying school drama. Not enough scenes in office to be interesting adult workers drama.... Not enough spy mission focus to be fun espionage drama. (Actually those few parts focusing on the espionage aspect was the only thing interesting. But it was only focused on for like 2 eps).....
Sorry HHJ, But'll skip s2 😅 and watch Your Ground instead.
