What is your point of coming to her fanpage to say all this? Do you want to drive away all of Ai Mi's fans or…
The racist chinese-hating troll Mephisto spamming the page of another MDL actress with hate is so brave that they have blocked me right after saying to me, "Shut The fuck up.": https://kisskh.at/people/67087-ai-mi#comment-24295912
Mephisto refuses to answer any of my questions, including their stunning talent of a logic void in coming to this page to harass and bully people.
They definitely need to watch Jackson Yee movies. Unless they have no parents or other older role models, their behaviour is embarrassingly lacking in the concepts of a decent upbringing, since they have no sense of how they bring shame to their parents with such infantile online behaviour.
I find this drama a bit depressing. So I will watch it slowly. It's interesting, well acted, a bit difficult to…
Take your time. I have a friend who has finished episode 30, and another who is about to start this drama. The statistics for this drama is outstanding, as of today: https://kisskh.at/755725-shui-long-yin#comment-24330788
If you run into issues of trying to figure things out, please consider this forum thread titled "Group Collective Contributions: Details, trivia, insights across 40 episodes of "Whispers of Fate" at:
RBF made a post in 2023 explaining the official poster for this drama page and its symbolism relative to Tang Lici. TaraVerde's wonderful review sharing minutiae details extending into art and aesthetics of this drama is a feast for the senses. underthestars compiled many little details of each episode that you can check out, after finishing an episode. There are other contributions too. Hope this helps :)
Now pop the champagne, folks!π₯³Β°π₯β.ΰ³πΎΰΏ*:ο½₯
I wish there was a short video or more scenes of Tang Lici's history with Xue Xianzi. It would have been hilarious. Our Tang-gongzi would surely have more than apples on Xue Xianzi! I might have to go into xhs, since douyin and weibo are so short on these (there's like only 2 BTS clips).
Bai Shu should do a spin-off 16-episode xianxia parody with Ai Mi, and rope in Caesar Wu. We don't have enough of these types of dramas to poke fun and laugh with XD
This rating is just so wrong. How is this even possible for a drama like this???? I rlly hope the rating won't…
This is what tends to happen: There will be a dip in the ratings. What matters is the tailwind that corrects the curve. The international audience is divided into two segments: Non-mandarin speaking and mandarin-speaking. Given the resounding stats of success for Whispers of Fate, it will only be a matter of time before the mandarin-speaking international viewers also gather.
As to the non-mandarin speakers, I'd say it also depends on what they can access. kwanto made an important post of record-breakers for Whispers of Fate, as of today. I quote one small section:
[ SLY broke Qiyi International historical records as the most viewed drama in one day, surpassing 10M. The significance here is HUGE: SLY is not a Qiyi drama, and Qiyi was airing 2 flagship dramas. ] - I believe a significant number of these viewers are international viewers who speak mandarin.
That is why I created a forum thread of efforts from several viewers covering trivia, philosophy, art and aesthetics and more:
And the important thing is to also have fun. The "Fated Hearts" MDL drama page went in all directions but the discussions always remained mostly mature yet agreeably cute because there was a core group of us who steered the direction while the drama was airing. All viewers found things to enjoy and gush about. Trolls were ignored and ultimately rejected. The page flourishes to this day. Fated Hearts and Mobius are two pages where fans (older and newer) happily get along and talk about what we like and enjoy, because they could see the patterns of discussion created and furthered by previous viewers who genuinely appreciate the drama and characters. And address frustrations too :)
Take your time! The chinese opera elements and the structure of a zaju shape this high fantasy xuanxia epic, and…
It's a lot easier when one doesn't have to rely on subtitles, otherwise a fair number of details will fly over the heads of the viewer. The language barrier is a bigger disadvantage for international viewers in this drama compared to other xianxia or wuxia dramas, because there is a lot to take in. For gamers and/or avid anime watchers, it will be easier to follow.
I suggest reading the collection of details by underthestars for up to episode 8, then look at that thread whenever you have completed at least one or two new episodes. Episode 8 was actually a dream episode for me, because I enjoy the Buddhism details plus novel adherence details plus how I was reminded of two specific HK movies (and yes, I created an episode summary for it). By now, you might have realised that for an epic fantasy, this drama doesn't take itself too seriously at times XD
The 2023 post by RBF is very important to fundamentally understanding Tang Lici, explaining the official poster used on this MDL drama page. Taraverde's review is highly-recommended, to dive into the minutiae and imagery of the history and culture imbued in small and big details of this drama, for art and aesthetics and also touching on Taoism.

Group effort celebration! Someone has to release a whole bunch of chickens in all sorts of wonderful gear akin to Xiao Xue Fu, and the whole cast and crew and supporters of this drama should take bows:
I'm only 8 episodes in, but it's a good mystery a we try to figure out what's happening!!!
Take your time! The chinese opera elements and the structure of a zaju shape this high fantasy xuanxia epic, and to try to balance those elements yet please gamers was quite a blending and balance of different art forms. There are references to multiple 1980s media of other movies or anime in very specific scenes, and acknowledging such major pop cultural references also adds a sense of fun to the comedy that specific characters bring.
Isn't he successful? Are you kidding? He's the most successful actor of the 2000s.
Just to let you know, I can't see your reply to me because the troll Mephisto who came to this page to bully people has just blocked me, after I exposed them today as a Chinese-hating race-baiter on the Cheng Xiao fan page:
Mephisto never answered when I asked, "I wonder if the Cheng Xiao fans are aware of your hating-multi-artist trolling efforts. Then again, with your racist comments about chinese people, that says everything about you"
I didn't realise you did not know how to use a dictionary! My bad, you're worse than I realised. Please also consider language classes. First, google "pedophile":
I quote: [Pedophilic disorder is characterized by recurring, intense sexually arousing fantasies, urges, or behavior involving children (usually 13 years old or younger). ]
This is where I have to ask you something very concerning: You raised the point of pedophilia. Ai Mi is clearly not a child, Is there something you should see a psychiatrist for, to get urgent help?
I thought you didn't care? Multiple comments later, you are still here and clearly care.
You enable someone who is racist against chinese people and you have no problem with that. Glad to see you've found a level of lowness to identify with. Don't forget to look for "standards", which you can start discovering by first using a dictionary.
What is your point of coming to her fanpage to say all this? Do you want to drive away all of Ai Mi's fans or…
Nobody here cares for you proving your stunning talent of a logic void. So why are you intentionally flouncing to this page to tell people what to think and how to think?
I wonder if the Cheng Xiao fans are aware of your hating-multi-artist trolling efforts. Then again, with your racist comments about chinese people, that says everything about you;

Fan of what? Zhang Yishan and Zhang Zi Feng? Absolutely. Have you seen their works? Award-winning.
There's still a gulf between Ai Mi and any of these two actors, but she is finally closing it. I have yet to decide if I will be a fan of hers, but her record of already-aired work is promising, whereby she will be able to break out of idol dramas.
Do you watch Jackson Yee's movies? Those who can always want to aim for the top, be it dramas or movies. This includes an ability to move out of idol dramas, or do idol dramas as an option within a wider filmography. The top tier is elitist, and always ignores opinions from trolls who are over-fixated on romance in a drama AND whiners who call for boycotts of artists who have done nothing to warrant such jealousy and hatred, thanks.
What are any of your favourite moments or interactions in this drama, and why? (if you answer, probably best to use spoiler tag)

Do we have any good xianxia c-drama parodies? We definitely have wuxia parodies. My friend gave me a list of recs that you should check out too: https://kisskh.at/profile/MyLangyaList/review/300915#comment-24215324
