This by far is the best single episode I've watched for a long long while of a chinese drama. The pace and the acting. Wow....

Episode starts with a Tengda banquet where once again Pei watches everybody but him get cash or trip awards. He is back to being low spirited and everybody’s favorite designated driver. Two years elapse and he is still driving people. He meets Law who is a narcissistic megalomaniac and Sima’s son. He is sent with the specific mission of co running Tengda. He immediately takes over and is one of those speakers that think they are charismatic and appreciated by the world at large. Pei has no clue what to do with him but has advised his staff they do not have to comply to his direction if they don’t want to. Xin gets to smirk at them and say Sima is not available for consultation. He likes to repeat English words and wanted everybody to give him English names. Pei of course chose loss.😂🤣 chaos has already started and it’s just with his introduction. His staff do not realize the backer of all their projects is Sima so they are all ready to tell him and son to get lost. Law wants influencers rather than ad campaigns and considers Tengda too old school to be top in marketplace. It’s easy to see why Sima wanted other options for a successor. It will be interesting to see which CEO learns the most from this venture, Loss or Law.

I love the story of Duang and Qin. The adaption really did a great job in producing this series, I like that they make it more detailed the confession part and other scenes to understand the flow of the story since the novel started where Duang and Qin already close. My fav part of this episode they give more details and take it slow the confession part of Duang. I love TeeteePor acting and chemistry, can't wait for the upcoming episode this week.

A lot of focus by commenters is on Han Ting's failure to disclose his conflict of interest when he invested in Star Technology. This was likely a case of securities fraud. A lot of folks are either defending Han Ting as not needing to tell or ripping him for not telling. But the larger mistake by Han Ting, other than deceiving Ji Xing all this time, is the answer he gave her when she asked if he lover her. He said it depends on what you mean by love. She said love was something that you would fight for and that, when you lost it, made you feel like your world was ending. Han Ting said that to him, 'suitability' and a list of characteristics that might have well defined a transactional partnership were more important. This was a devastatingly awful answer and it showed that Ji Xing and Han Ting were worlds apart in understanding what love is. Han Ting makes the mistake of thinking of love as transactional. That it is a matter of give and take in measure. Ji Xing understands that it is not so. And while she gives him several chances to come clean about his deception and to show understanding of what he's done, he refuses. Indeed, he insults her and yells at her. He demonstrates clearly that he does not understand that love is not transactional. This extreme difference in mindset actually makes him "too scary" for Ji Xing. And so she has to leave him. Only by experiencing life without his love (her) will Han Ting learn that she is right.

Taxi Driver Season 3 Episode 4

From my observation and memory, season 3 has a vibe mixed of both seasons. It has the season 1 violent tone back but the lightheart entertaining schemes of the rainbow taxi team. The most satisfying part was when they pulled a uno reverse card in making the villains of the week fall into their own scam scheme. Seong Cheol pulls out the other paper of the contract telling them to have to pay this amount of money too and he responds to them calling out their bodyguard by calling out his "Kim". Kim Do Gi hopping out after being summoned was pretty funny. I LOVED seeing Go Eun get in on the action by slapping the woman on the villain team. The cherry on top is that they were put into a flooded car they themselves messed around and were stuck driving nonstop because of their own work. It's up to our imagination I guess whether they crashed into a wall or into the river or something. I enjoyed seeing the villains get trolled with a taste of their own medicine.

Dare You to Death Episode 7

Episodes like this makes me want some BL shows to be 8-10 episodes. Even the spicy between the actors feel underwhelming at times. I have an idea who the killer is at this point.

The month contract was right on cue to set up their co existence. The boiler scenario was a way to move things along but why didn’t she just visit her best friend who works at same place and knows her situation? This dragging around with wet hair was just odd. She does not seem surprised her ex works there so was this a means she used to re establish contact? His man bonding with neighbor to try to get free boiler fix seemed an expedient move, but his butting into her text to property owner did not. He’s leaving in a month and he shouldn’t have interfered to complicate things with lies. He did the right thing earning the money to fix it since his ‘tool’ buddy finished breaking things.😝 He just now gets to see how his actions at interview affected her and she has to acknowledge that money was needed to fix the house. He is acting petty about his room but the camera is a poignant moment as he is still trying to sort out why his brother left him. She is distressed because this is the time big sis always stepped in to fix things. This is her first rainy day they are not celebrating together and she has joined gloomy roomie in thinking it sucks to be cold and wet. Their drinking together resulted in unexpected sleeping arrangements and they are both stunned to find themselves in same bed. TBH I have no idea what I just watched. It is a complete mess compared to the first two episodes. There was no rush for relationships needed. I wish they would have given more baby care acclimation time for them than whatever this was.

The obsession of the Genie with receiving 1000 won was actually super annoying, but it's interesting to see how he starts to learn how the new environment works and all that. Also, Gayeong made her first wish already??? Thought it would take at least another episode but anygays. The beating up with the pipe also looked very relieving ngl. I really need to go to a Smash room (=paying money to smash everything you want in a (soundproof) room)
