One time watch

I had big hopes for this drama. But the execution failed and in some places so did the acting.
For an idol who has a murder charge on him and is facing jail time, I found him more like a prince throwing a tantrum left right and center.
The first couple of episodes where you feel any sympathy for him soon turns into frustration and annoyance.
The romance felt forced and more like a noona romance which should not be the case going by the childhood memory they share.
It a strange one, I could bring myself to watch this one back to back, but rather one episode a couple of days. Still can recommend for a binge watch.

That was fun!

Sure, they wasted the 12th episode in an extended victory lap. What made it fun for me was that the FL never got past being a Gold Boys fan. They went a little overboard with her merch purchasing overshadowing the romantic night they spent together...personally I would have been a bit irked if my lover / fan had acted that way. But the FL lead was able to sell that she was a hardcore fan throughout and that goal was likely why that scene was included.

I would be surprised if this series wins many awards and it certainly didn't break new ground. Watch it at 1.25 or higher, use the 10 ahead button liberally, and enjoy the look on the FL's face when she is being a total fangirl. It's gonna make ya smile.

Beautiful story about different kinds of love

I have no idea why this does have better reviews. It’s a story about life and family and how different types of love are intertwined. Family is not always given but can be made of those you find yourself surrounded by and friendships can transcend selfish desires to truly become selfless. It’s beautiful and the chemistry is everywhere, between lovers, friends, family and even unrequited loves. It is definitely slower paced but that makes for well fleshed out characters and truly believable relationships. I’ve seen some say it was supposed to be longer, however I don’t know if this would have added to the plot in a positive way.

Moving Family Drama and Interesting Slice of Live Trauma Cleaners

My rating 9.5/10

Move to Heaven is a deeply emotional series that balances heartbreak with profound moments of human connection. Even as someone highly empathetic, I found it more stirring and thought-provoking than overwhelmingly sad, largely because I went in knowing the heavy themes—it allowed me to appreciate the nuance without being blindsided. Tang Jun-sang delivers an outstanding, authentic portrayal of Han Geu-ru, a young man on the autism spectrum. Having multiple autistic people in my life, I recognized and appreciated how faithfully the show captures traits like intense focus, stubborn persistence on certain ideas, and quiet brilliance. It never feels stereotypical; it's respectful and insightful. The evolving dynamic between Han Geu-ru and his uncle Cho Sang-gu (Lee Je-hoon) is one of the show's strongest elements—raw, complicated, and ultimately touching as they navigate grief, family, and personal growth together. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend it to others, especially those who enjoy character-driven stories about healing. It's rewatchable for its emotional depth, and I'd be thrilled if Netflix ever greenlights a second season.

Spoilers

While the series excels in so many ways, the Netflix-typical soft, open-ended finale left some threads feeling unresolved, which kept it from a perfect 10/10 for me. I loved watching Cho Sang-gu gradually warm to his role as guardian and truly come to care for Han Geu-ru as family—it felt earned and heartfelt. However, certain moments that could have fully cemented their bond, like Han Geu-ru openly allowing Cho Sang-gu into his personal space (e.g., his room) or Cho Sang-gu more explicitly acknowledging him as his nephew, never quite materialized in the way I hoped. Those small but powerful gestures would have provided the heartwarming closure their relationship deserved, tying everything up more neatly instead of leaving it ambiguously open for potential future seasons. It's a minor frustration in an otherwise beautiful show, but it did make the ending feel a bit incomplete.

It's a quality show without major nuisances.

This drama is 50% business, 50% romance & honestly even the business part is quite alright, certainly it's far and I mean FAR above the typial cdrama fare. The leads had absolutely amazing chemistry & visual compatibility. The basic romantic plot is very well thought out, how FL is recovering from heartbreak in the first half of the show is quite well done. The slow burn makes sense, it's not just endless time wasting like it so often is. While I normally strongly dislike love triangles, FL's former love interest worked out wonderfully as a storytelling tool, never becoming too annoying, while his presence still added a little flare to the otherwise somewhat bland setting.

While obviously this is pretty great, there were moments when the delivery on various propaganda agendas made me roll my eyes, but I've seen far worse. At the very least China has every reason to be proud of their PV industry..

This show is often compared to dramas such as `Amidst a Snowstorm of Love`and `Love Me, Love My Voice`. In my opinion those are mostly vibe dramas with a fairly limited plot. However this drama is not doing so well on the vibe side, the feels aren't quite there, opposed to that though there is way more plot & the FL has many super satisfying aura farming / face slappy moments. It's worth watching.

The drama OST is not too amazing or anything, but the intro song really grew on me..

I had no expectations

The me before this drama had no expectations. Wasn't even looking forward to it. Next thing i know is my falling in love with it.

No boring episode. Kept me glued. I didn't even fast forward it, i kind of did at his first love scenes. Didn't care to watch her fall in love with the manager. Regardless. If didn't take a lot of the series and I'm glad i pushed through and stayed watching it.

When two worlds collide

Idol I really surprised me in the best way. What struck me most is how relatable and honest the fangirl world feels: it doesn’t romanticise fandom, but shows the emotional investment, quiet devotion, and the constant balance between passion and reality, and as someone who knows that world, I felt seen more than once.
The story blends mystery, legal drama, and romance without losing its emotional core, especially as the female lead’s two identities collide and force her to face both her professionalism and her feelings. The pressure of public opinion, the loneliness of defending someone already judged, and the focus on trust,in truth, in oneself, and in the person behind the public image, all feel grounded and earned. It also helps that Kim Jae Yeong is always a pleasure to watch, and this just made me want to see him in more romcoms.
In the end, this drama feels intimate, thoughtful, and surprisingly comforting, portraying fandom as something deeply human and meaningful, and it stayed with me far more than I expected

A refreshing and an origial series

What I liked the most about this series that it captured the magic of new meetings beautifully, specially abroad. ✨✈️

It had me smiling like an idiot throughout my watch. 🤭

It wasn't boring at all, in contrast, it had a lot of things going on at the same time and then surprises you at the end when you think you've figured it all out.

The acting was superior and don't get me started on the cinematography that captured all the scenes artistically. Every scene felt like a potential background.
☺️💕

It has been a long time since I have last seen a relatable female character who has or had at the beginning of the series relatable flaws. Talking too much nonsense in an awkward situation, for example.
And the ML character as well when he sometimes finds her overwhelming and makes an effort to understand her.
These all made the show more enjoyable.

What I didn't particularly like was the continuous loop of conflict. Once they resolve something another thing pops up.
Like give them a break!🙄

Plus, I constantly had the feeling of it being a plot inside another plot which made it heavy sometimes.

And lastly, the ending felt rushed somehow.
It left me with a lot of questions and didn't like the jump in time either.

Other than that, it was a refreshing story with comforting scenes that captures the eyes and hearts of the watchers.
Totally Recommended! 👍✨

IDOL I THE KDRAMA OF 2025-2026!

oh my goodness this show was perfection, it was bittersweet, sad, cute, suspenseful.. who woulda thought Like was HER FRICKING SECRETARY OR WHATEVER? and on top of that, the kissing scenes? Chefs kiss. I usually rank every kdrama I watch above a 8-10 because I’m polite, but if I could exceed 10 this and a few others would definitely take the spot. I don’t get some of the hate because this show is seriously realistic coming from a kpop fan themselves, maybe the people who don’t like it need to humble themselves. anyway IDOL I WAS AMAZING DONT CARE WHAT THE HATERS SAYYY

Review about Affinity

THE TENSION BETWEEN fml and ml gggooosh, it’s smth else, the chemistry😻🔥🔥 maybe yes the stroy can be a little bit cringy but God, they have so much chemistry, they are not even a slow burn, they are gaaas, like, definitely will watch it again and again. It is short cdrama which make it easy to watch, but only 2 episodes a day and only with 18 minutes, it is sooo unfair, It is not enough. Every day iam waiting for 2 episodes and this is sooo hard. I hope we will have happy ending and all of these sweet moments will not be just sweet moments and we will get hot scenes very soon

Amazing

I couldn’t get enough of it from start to finish and I fell in love with the actors. I can’t believe I watched this so long ago, and I’m coming back to it to rewatch it because I loved it so much. I think anything both lead actors are in is 10. It felt like a movie, but it was actually a show.

A sweet yet punchy political dramedy with heart, and a lot of guts!

Genuinely such an enjoyable show. It's a politial comedy with a distinct romantic thread and it shows the value of bonds between both family and friends. It has good pacing, great acting and is well executed in both storyline and production. The characters are well written and well developed, with good chemistry amongst the cast, shown in both the romantic and platonic connections between characters. The humour is quite on point for this style of dramedy and although there are some mildly cringey moments, it's not an uncomfortable cringe but a welcome one. The dramatised, lakorn-style acting may not be to everyone's taste but it's well executed by this cast and the clear lines between the comedic and serious moments is certainly appreciated; this show has made me cackle like the wicked witch of the west and my body wrack with sobs, multiple times, on both counts. One thing's for sure, the overal message of the show; that a person's freedom is worth fighting for and that everyone deserves love, is abundandtly clear in how these characters learn about each other, love and respect each other and are willing to fight for each other. I will definitely be adding this one to the tops of my re-watch and recommend lists.

a movie made for a specific audience

this movie is truly for specific audiences and i was one of those.

to start off, the use of perspectives for the storytelling was in my opinion, a masterful use which allowed for the audience to see and almost experience the sweetness yet harsh reality of the characters and the world they have to live in - starting with the youngest, the one who's the most inexperienced and the last perspective being of the oldest with the most experience in that world.

the cinematography was so beautiful yet horrific in specific scenes. the scene of takuya all alone on his couch after what happened to him was grim and terrifying. although cinema has portrayed scenes arguably much more graphic and brutal, takuya and his state alongside the use of the back-shots to emphasise an eerie and unsettling feeling before the reveal which then was brutal and grotesque was truly something else. aid that, the fact that he was all alone for a while in that state, unconcious and bleeding out.

the acting was extraordinary, truly phenomenal. i was especially impressed by takumi's acting as takuya. his character was truly complex and there were so many layers which were peeled back gradually, the scene of takuya screaming in the back of the car after realising he could no longer see was splendid - his scream was both silent and loud, impactful in so many ways. mamoru's character being left all alone was so heartbreaking and bittersweet, although, realistic considering the gravity of the situation.

that then comes to the pacing and the ending itself. i personally think the pacing was perfect for the story as they also utilised different perspectives of three different characters, i feel it worked very well. the ending might not be what people wanted, they definitely wanted takuya and mamoru to be back together, the movie however is not made to create that sense of optimism and hope that they'd end up together again. it's truly bittersweet to see the contrast of mamoru all on his own compared to takuya with kajitani eating mackerel - parallel to when he'd first made it for mamoru.

"i wish mamoru could taste this."

AND I COULDN'T BREATH.
