Millions of different factors affect who we are as people and that comes from our experiences and environment. Plus, we are all constantly changing. I am not the same person I was 10 years ago. :-)

Agree, although personality can in part be genetic, it is largely made up of our experiences, stored as memories. Without memories of those personality forming experiences, of course her personality will change too.

Hmm, Naksu may have been fierce and powerful, but she was cold and bitter, and she was unable to seek out happiness and contentment for herself. I think new Naksu is more open to affection and warmth than old Naksu who couldn't bear to show any vulnerability.

Naksu's (original) body didn't survive. It was burned in P1. Master Lee and the Head of Jinyowon retrieved the body of Mu Deok/Bu Yeon from the lake in P2 and found that Naksu's soul was still alive, so Master Lee used magic (and maybe a relic from Jinyowon) to resurrect her and "remove what was unnecessary". Then her body started reforming as the petrification receded making Mu Deok/Bu Yeon's body appear more like Naksu.

I first saw Im Soo Hyang in Woori the Virgin and her acting was painfully bad. This is really putting me off watching this drama. Is her performance stronger here or just as underwhelming?

I loved him in 10 Miles of Peach Blossom, The Flame's Daughter and The King's Woman.

Haha I hear ya! Rabid fans give me a headache, patrolling the comment sections (especially when a drama is airing because they think it is their duty to "maintain" high ratings lol) telling other members to go away for just expressing their opinion - irrational, immature and idiotic.

"Two men talking in a room" is what you'll get in 60% of this show. 25% of the show has more than two but no more than ten men, or a man and a woman, talking in a room. And another 10% is two or more men talking outdoors... " HAHAHA spot on! This cracked me up.

Such irrational characters and an irrational plot which just repeats the same bs again and again, and yet I'm still watching it lol! I honestly feel disappointed for the actors having to take part in this drama, a waste of their talent. Zhang Xueying deserves so much more. I would love to see her in a Xianxia, she is so good at conveying deep and conflicting emotions, perfect for an angst ridden xianxia hahaha!

A good FL will bring out his best acting ability though. One lead shouldn't have to carry the other lead in terms of performance.

Elvis Han was amazing in Secrets of the Three Kingdoms, looking forward to seeing him in a drama again.

Because dramas popularise this idea of good and evil leading to viewers expecting a hero and a villain, but real people aren't like that. We make mistakes, sometimes we make terrible mistakes and we have periods of our lives when we have to adapt, grow or change. I think the fact that they showed the struggles of the cheating couple and how they overcame it and grew up together was so unexpected and refreshing. I love the themes of forgiveness and healing and maturing and learning. The friendship that forms between the FL and the 2ML is great. The conversations they are able to have after years of being together and the lessons they are able to teach each other only once they have separated is very special.
