Genius

Was reluctant to write anything before completion, but after watching this masterpiece, I feel compelled to.First of all the whole show is great it just got better each week. This episode had everything, even though it wasn't a surprise that it ended in tears, how they led the viewer here so masterfully, is brilliant. Both actors are perfectly playing these characters and the writing is thoughtful and precise, the cinematography almost made me cry, the way the lighting hit their faces. I'm simply in awe of how good all of these people worked together to create such an authentic piece of meaningful art. I honestly cannot recall when I last felt so immersed in a series or a movie, ....Especially loved the scene of Fan Xiao on his knees going all out with the "performance" and while he was getting into to it more and more I thought to myself well that isn't the best acting right there just to then find out that he actually did just "acted badly" and right after the extremely heartfelt performance of You Shulang before kicking him out, while Fan Xiao was trying not to faint from the guilt and pressure he felt caught between wanting to disappear into a hole but not wanting to leave his side. Both a masterclass.Whomever wrote these characters is also very psychologically interested and knowledgable: Fan Xiao's dilemma is his urge to control everything that surrounds him but discovering that Love is something he absolutely cannot control, which leads to his inner conflict of wanting to "win" and to happily surrender everything he is and has to You Shulang. While You Shulang is a "control freak" in his own right but most of all too prideful for his own peace of mind, Meticulously, sharp, even about the smallest details, Remembering names & Passcodes he heard once. His dilemma comes from wanting to settle the score, hurting those who "hurt" him, by cutting them off and being unforgiving and thus depriving himself of what he truly wants,Both of them love each other but both of them struggle to accept the fact, as it compromises their accustomed habits. No mater what happens next the show so far could not have been made any better. Very much looking forward to how the story continues.
