why are kdramas so much higher rated than cdramas? this in particular was a cool drama with cool characters but…
As a cdrama and kdrama watcher for many years and an observer of ratings of this site for all these years, let me share my Opinion. Firstly, i do believe All the high rated shows in this site (8.6 & Above) deserve their High Ratings, whether that is because of the overall quality, or simply bcz they were memorable and enjoyable for a lot of viewers. this apply for both cdramas and kdramas.
Now if we come to the low or averagely rated shows, many Shows actually deserve much higher rating than what they got, specially applicable more for cdramas. The reason why It's more applicable for cdramas is, kdrama watchers are a huge number of people in this site, almost triple the amount of cdrama watchers, which makes the difference. A good amount of dramas get a certain amount of unfair hate Ratings here, for both kdramas and cdramas, more often when the drama is globally popular and huge hit...and also due to the fandom cultures and hatred towards the actors and actresses, exists for both industry. The reason why kdramas "overcome" this hate Ratings of 1.0/2.0/3.0 is because of It's large number of audience so that even if 1k/2k people rated it very low, the rest of 50k or 60k fair Ratings will eventually make it mended. And thus kdramas still get an average Rating.
but as the cdrama audience is one-third of the amount of kdrama watchers here, they can't get over these unfair hate ratings ever.Only 1k 1.0/2.0 Ratings can effect the whole Rating as the whole number of watchers for cdramas commonly are only 30-40k in amount so the raters amount is usually Below 20k... Only for popular cdramas it crosses the 50k barrier of watchers, while popular kdramas easily break 100k watchers every now and then, even 200k watchers sometimes
No, he doesn't deserve an Oscar. The Oscar is American. He doesn't need American validation. The Golden Rooster…
He won the golden rooster award yesterday. i am so happy for him :)
btw, my comment about 'oscar' wasn’t written with exactly an ''Academy award" in mind, nothing to do with american validation or whatever, you didn’t have to take it too seriously. it just meant he deserves all the greatest recognitions in the acting Field for his performance here.i was overwhelmed after finishing the movie and was at a loss of words.
This drama wasn't bad. It also wasn't great.Usually I don't make comments here on MDL but...For me the end of…
hahaha stumbled upon your comment and want to watch it.but 130 episodes are impossible for me right now with everything going on in life...maybe I'll try it someday and will let you know if You're still here!
i kinda smiled at your "protein" comment (more like laughter) bcz this protein thing is mentioned in ep…
yeah, when she was in the car with her dad and the scene flashbacks into the murder night and she was describing her meticulous plan to zeng jie....even the steaks were shown lol
Overall, it's enjoyable. FL is pretty all right, however sometimes I can't stand those excessive cheap looking…
These are actually a cultural thing for cdramas as they maintain old style makeup and accessories based on that Dynasty... wang ying lu's hairstyle draws from a style known as the Shuang Huan Ji (双鬟髻), traces its roots to early Tang Dynasty in china.
About the red dotes on mouth in the wedding,It's called miàn yè (面靥) In the Tang dynasty, Mian Ye, along with Huadian and Xiehong, became a popular makeup among aristocrat women
As modern people, it takes time for us to get used to these styling and makeup, but i like this unique thing about chinese dramas, they closely follow their thousands of years old cultural heritage when they make historical dramas, and all these stylings often had some historical stories and meanings behind them, which i often love to read about.
